THE GOD EATER

Inside the godhead that the Devouring Supreme Metac had fused with, it had become two. That is, there were now two copies of Fenrir within the godhead, both producing divinity for the godhead. This was a big difference to Loki because he only had one copy of Fenrir within his godhead producing divinity for him.

The Devouring Supreme Metac was the only one that was doubled in the godhead of his son, though. The second Supreme Metac had only one copy.

When he saw this, he asked himself thoughtfully, ’Is this what it means to be a two-star celestial, or is this boy cheating somehow to get twice as much divinity from his Cosmic Dao?’

To confirm what he saw with his Divine Spirit, he activated the Power Identification Ability. It was an instinctive action on his part because he was used to doing so. He didn’t actually expect it to work.

But the Power Identification Ability did work and produced a more detailed outline of his son’s capabilities.

’Since the Power Identification Ability was able to work, I should be strong enough to kill this pipsqueak,’ he thought with a glint in his eyes.

He was thinking about killing the little upstart here and now. But then he looked around him and saw thousands of Gemini people.

So he thought, ’This boy is surrounded by his people. If I try to kill him, they can gang up on me, so I have to give up on killing him now.’

’Besides, my avatar can’t leave the range of the golden mountain to attack anything outside the Divine Mountain. If I am determined to kill him, only my true body can do it.’

Since there was a reason his true body left, and that reason was still present, he couldn’t bring his true body back to the area for one kid.

After making the decision to give up on killing his son now, he decided to go through the information he had just seen through the Power Identification Ability.

’The Devouring Supreme Metac is truly producing 54 units of divinity. Combined with the 15 he started with when he became a Dao Lord and the 21 from the Transformation Supreme Metac, he has a total of 90 divinity.’

’The conversion efficiency of his Supreme Metacs is also high. The Devouring Supreme Metac is at 19% and is about to reach 20%, which is the requirement to advance to three-star celestial.’

’Meanwhile, the conversion efficiency of the Transformation Supreme Metac is at 9% and is about to advance to two stars. Forget about whether this is normal. How did he manage to reach this level of mastery so soon?’

He frowned inwardly as he thought, ’Am I not older than him? How can he progress so quickly?`

’Is this normal? Is every Gemini this talented, or is my son cheating somehow? Knowing his father, I’m willing to bet that he is cheating somehow.’

He had a lot of questions, and he wanted answers to them, so he began checking other Dao Lords around him. The first one he checked was the avatar of the member that his son was currently challenging.

When his Divine Spirit swept through the avatar, he saw that they had three activated godheads within them, marking them as a three-star celestial. What’s more, each godhead also had three copies of the same Supreme Metac within them.

Upon seeing this, he made a quick calculation in his head, thinking, ’This member of my Divine Court had three Grand Daos, which are meant to deliver 21 units of divinity each. But since the godhead has three copies of the same Supreme Metac, there are 63 units of divinity from one godhead, making a total of 189 divinity.’

’The 189 divinity is from the godhead alone. There is still the 15 divinity every Dao Lord starts with. So he should have a total of 204 divinity, which is 2.26 times the divinity of my son.’

’What a massive difference. How I wish I could see the specifics,’ he said with a little regret.

He had also activated the Power Identification Ability on this three-star celestial, but it hadn’t worked. Therefore, all of the information he had was conjecture based on the condition of the godheads he had seen.

His mind went a buzz as he contemplated the drastic difference he just saw between someone who was a two-celestial and someone who was a three-star celestial. To confirm his conjecture, he spread his Divine Spirit through the golden mountain, checking more Dao Lords.

The first thing he noticed was that the three-celestial was now the weakest member of his Divine Court. So if his son couldn’t defeat this one, he would have no chance of joining the Divine Court.

The second thing he noticed was that the higher the cultivation of the Dao Lords, the more copies there were in each of their godheads. He saw that three-star celestials had a maximum of three copies of their Supreme Metacs in their godheads, while four-star celestials had a maximum of four copies and five-star celestials had a total of five copies in their godheads.

He wasn’t exactly sure about the maximum value of some five-star celestials because he couldn’t see through all of them. Even with 459 units of divinity bolstering his Divine Spirit, it wasn’t enough to overcome the resistance of many of them.
