THE GOD EATER

A smile crept onto his face unconsciously as he said to the Dao Lords who had been waiting for his answer, ”There’s no need for more unpleasantness. I believe it is time the Will of the Blessed Heaven World go free.’

As he spoke, he put his words into action. With a thought, he removed his hold and suppression of the Will of the world. This caused the entire world to shake and rumble.

At first, the shaking was subtle. Only the highly sensitive Dao Lords and divine beings noticed the world vibrating beneath them. But very quickly, the vibration intensified, and the shaking became obvious.

In particular, the shaking was intense in the Central Domain and the two Domains sharing the South. This was because these three were the ones doing most of the movement.

When Loki looked down, he saw that the Central Domain that belonged to the Four Directions Sect was moving to the South and making way for a Domain beneath it that had been buried for a long time.

He also saw that the two Domains in the South were separating to make room for the previous Central Domain. But this change was also affecting every other Domain, as they were forced to spread out to make room for the previous Central Domain.

Just as this was happening down below, intense changes were also taking place in the divine constellation. The central sun in the constellation of stars was going from being a phantom to turning into a tangible star that could be reached and interacted with.

Nine large stars also appeared around the sun, pushing aside the large stars that represented the Supreme Metacs of Dao Lords. Just like that, the number of pathways in the Blessed Heaven World surged from 23 to 32, reducing the Domain Power of every avatar attached to the world.

While this was happening, Loki was looking at the nine new Supreme Metacs that had appeared and began to scheme about how to acquire them. Unfortunately, this was all he could do at the moment.

He could only scheme because he couldn’t take action. The loss he experienced at the hands of the Will of the Blessed Heaven World was still fresh in his mind, so he restrained himself.

A few seconds later, a gray ghost-like figure without distinct features appeared within the divine constellation. It stood at the center of the divine constellation and above the Dao Lords, looking down on them.

The ghost-like figure was mostly upright. It had a head, a torso, and two arms, but its body was made of gray gas, and it didn’t have legs beneath its torso.

They didn’t have eyes or any facial features, but they could still look down on the Dao Lords as they sighed and said, ”I am finally free.”

They glanced at Black Chain as they said, ”Those who need to be punished shall be punished.”

Then they looked at Loki and said, ”Those who need to be rewarded shall be rewarded.”

’Oh no,’ Loki thought with a sinking heart. ’What is this nutjob going to do now?’

As soon as he heard the word reward directed at him, memories of that unpleasant past came rushing back, making him feel like he was in trouble.

”Tell me,” the gray ghost said to Loki. ”What do you want?”

’I want Harem King to die, but I doubt you can grant me that wish,’ he thought in jest.

Outwardly, he said, ”I need help setting up my sect. So I would appreciate it if you could prioritize my Domain for the reincarnation of souls.”

In response, the ghost figure nodded and said, ”Granted. I will make sure that your Domain is populated with all manners of creatures as soon as possible.”

Then the ghost figure turned to Black Chain again and said, ”For the phase of your punishment, the cycle of reincarnation will be cut off from your Domain, and there shall be no new births until the population of Ragnarok’s Domain becomes half of what you had at your peak.”

Finally, the ghost figure addressed everyone, ”I have seen what has happened in my world so far. All in all, I am very satisfied.”

”Not to rush you, but when will you be able to ascend?” Martial Will asked somewhat impatiently.

”In my current state, I can make the attempt to ascend,” the ghost figure said in reply. ”I reckon that I will succeed if I try to ascend now. But just to be sure and to increase my potential when I successfully ascend, I need one more thing.”

Without waiting for them to ask, the ghost figure pointed at the nine known large stars and said, ”I have here nine vacant Supreme Metacs. I wish to have them occupied before I ascend, so I need nine rank 9 world kings.”

”If you’re in a hurry for me to ascend, you can help me accomplish this. But you’re not allowed to stand in my way openly or secretly sabotage my plans, or there will be dire consequences,” the ghostly figure said, warning them.

As soon as the Will of the World finished speaking, Martial Will spoke up in protest, ”Nine rank 9 world kings? That’s too much.”

”It will take too much time to create nine rank 9 world kings,” Tepid Scholar said. ”Even with a Supreme Metac already there to give away, it will take at least a year or upward of a hundred years.”

”What we lack now is time. The Sea of Worlds has been unsealed and invaded, so we don’t have time to waste on this,” Heavenly Eye urged.

”It is not a waste of time,” The Will said stubbornly. ”And I’ve made up my mind.”

The ghost figure spoke with an air of irrefutable authority, but the Dao Lords didn’t back down. When giving wise suggestions failed to change the mind of the Will, they began offering some benefits as bribes to make the Will give up on this plan.
