THE GOD EATER

While the Dao Lord of the Carefree Immortals Sect was snooping on the second heaven of the Blessed Heaven World, the Dao Lords were wondering what he was doing.

The other Dao Lords didn’t reappear, but they were paying attention to his actions in the Blessed Heaven World. This was easy for five of the remaining Dao Lords to do since they had pathways in the divine constellation of the world.

The other two Dao Lords didn’t have such exclusive access to the Blessed Heaven World. So they were left out of the monitoring.

The relationship between Dao Lords was not cordial normally. But their relationship was tense in this situation because of the war that had recently been declared. So they were now suspicious of each other.

The one that they were most suspicious of was Carefree. They were wary of each other in varying proportions, but they were all wary of Carefree.

They were wondering what he was up to when something began to shine in the river of death. They didn’t know what it was, but no one thought twice about ripping open space to peer through it.

So eight pairs of eyes returned to the sky of the Sea of Worlds. And those pairs of eyes returned to looking at the river of death. Even the Dao Lord of the Carefree Immortals Sect was also looking intently at the river of death.

They were all looking with an intensity that bordered on mania. It was as if they wanted to penetrate the surface of the black river. Against all expectations, their gaze actually penetrated the black river.

Their eyes shouldn’t have been able to see anything other than black water full of entropy and devoid of useful energy. In their vision, this river extended throughout the Sea of Worlds, jumping from world to world. But for a brief moment, they saw a golden mountain at the depths of the river.

They saw the golden mountain for a short instant, but what they saw couldn’t be forgotten. Most importantly, what they saw was something they didn’t want to see at all.

As soon as they saw the golden mountain, they all felt shock. The intense shock battering their emotions made the colors of their colorful eyes flicker erratically.

But just as shock came, it went away. The shock at seeing the impossible was quickly replaced by greed. This time, the greed caused their eyes to glow brightly like stars.

All of them took action immediately. They ripped open the rift even more and pushed themselves into the rift.

Their actions caused the world to roar in pain as the sky was torn open. The tears in the sky were large enough to encompass many worlds. Then a large head pushed through the tear in the sky.

For the beings below, what they saw was many large stars appearing in the sky. But when they saw these stars, their bodies and souls scattered.

Everywhere the light of the eight stars shone, every life ended, and even nonliving things like rocks broke down and decomposed. The only difference in the effect of the stars was how fast the world was broken down into law fragments.

The Dao Lords were throwing all caution to the wind and decided to enter the Sea of Worlds. Unfortunately for them, the Sea of Worlds was too small to contain them.

If they were normal-sized humans, the Sea of Worlds was a bottle. A man can’t squeeze into a bottle, so they can’t squeeze into the Sea of Worlds.

It didn’t matter how flexible they were. They were just too big. It would be more feasible for them to destroy the Sea of Worlds than to enter it.

Currently, they did not possess the power to destroy the Sea of Worlds. The best they could do was extend a finger into the Sea of Worlds.

In this case, their fingers were their pathways in the various worlds in the Sea of Worlds. So the Dao Lords began to mobilize the power of their pathways.

It goes without saying that the five Dao Lords with sects in the Blessed Heaven World would have an advantage here. And it was also clear that the one with more pathways would be able to mobilize more power.

Under the river of death, Loki felt the sources of danger pressing down on him. Not only had they become stronger, but they were also getting closer to him.

The perceived danger induced a sense of crisis in him that was so great that he said, ”Time to go.”

Then he activated the Rewind Metac.

He wasn’t in a mood to waste time and wanted to be far away from this place as soon as possible. So he thought that it was a bad thing when he encountered a problem after the Rewind Metac was activated.

This wouldn’t be the first time he was activating the Rewind Metac. It also wouldn’t be the first time he was activating it as a rank 9 divine being. However, it would be the first time he was activating the Rewind Metac with a golden mountain.

On previous occasions when he activated the Rewind Metac, he would leave behind his Cave Heaven or destroy it. It seemed he would have to do something like that now because the golden mountain was refusing to let him go.

The golden mountain had attached itself to his golden Divine Spark using the black veins. Now that the Divine Spark wanted to escape into the River of Time, the veins had become shackles and the golden mountain had become a burden weighing him down.

Apparently, he couldn’t take the golden mountain with him into the River of Time. As soon as he realized what was going on, he chose to destroy the golden mountain.

He willed it and pushed all of his energy into the mountain. Unfortunately, the mountain refused to explode. It didn’t even move or shake to indicate that he was doing anything to it.
