THE GOD EATER

In most cases, the addition of this curse of the mind would be enough to seal the deal and kill the target. But he didn’t know if this much would be enough this time around.

He didn’t know, and he didn’t have the confidence that these two Divine Metacs would be enough, so he decided that he wasn’t going to take any chances.

The death of Money Body had shown him that he can’t take chances with anything if he doesn’t want to die on this mission. So he activated the third Divine Metac without hesitation.

The third Divine Metac was the Death Crow Metac. When it was activated, the undead giant was still roaring. It didn’t look like it had done anything different, but the invisible curse marks attached to the dog changed.

Because of the Death Crow Metac, the invisible curse mark transformed into black crows. These crows burrowed into the body of the dog and went straight for its soul. Their goal was to take over the body of the dog, thereby killing it.

When Monarch Giant Zombie saw this, he sighed in relief. This was because the fact that the crows could enter the body of the dog meant that the dog didn’t have the power to resist.

If the dog were powerful enough, the black crows wouldn’t be able to enter its body at all. They would only be able to roam around its body, looking for a weakness and attacking it. Now that the black crows had gained access to its body, the dog was doomed.

But then he heard the dog say, ”It seems I will have to make a move myself.”

It was Loki speaking through the wolf. He decided to take part in this battle since Fenrir’s Manifestation wasn’t enough to get the job done.

The manifestation had actually tried its best. It had even used all of its power, which made its power soar to 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9(Body) + 9(Mind) + 9(Soul) + 9(Will) + 9(Insight)) × 9(Fenrir Supreme Metac), which is 3,645 units of divine power.

It had used Fenrir to mobilize all five stats to resist the attack. This is something that every Supreme Metac can do.

Supreme Metacs can mobilize every stat, not just one, as Divine Metacs do. This is because they were made from many types of Metacs that can mobilize every kind of stats.

As three-dimensional tools of power, they have enough channels within them to allow multiple stats to be mobilized and channeled within them. But this perk was not enough in this situation.

Despite using only Divine Metacs, Monarch Giant Zombie was able to produce a power output at 8(Cultivation Rank) × (8(Will) + 8(Mind) + 8(Soul)) × (8(Death’s Calling Metac) + 8(Spirit Mark) + 8(Death Crow)), which is 4,608 units of divine power.

He had been hoping that by pretending to be affected by the second attack, Monarch Giant Zombie would let him get close. Unfortunately, Monarch Giant Zombie kept increasing the pressure, so he had to step in to change the tide of battle.

He activated the Hunting Form Ability of Fenrir. This ability made the manifestation of Fenrir become the real thing. Since he was the real Fenrir, it meant that the manifestation had to become him.

So as the dog spoke, it grew three more tails. Then it became bigger, and its power soared. In response to all of these changes, the eight black crows in its body shattered.

Monarch Giant Zombie didn’t know what had happened, but he knew that the dog had become stronger. After all, not only had the dog become a giant wolf, but his crows had been destroyed.

The destruction of the black crows, in particular, indicated that the difference in power between his attack and the target of the attack had become too much. So he immediately used the Divine Metac.

This rank 8 death cultivator had been planning to use the four Divine Metacs anyway. This meant that there was no delay in his response to the unfortunate turn of events.

He activated the Giant Zombie Metac and combined its power with the other three Divine Metacs. So the undead giant didn’t need to shout anymore. Now, all of its attacks would be imbued with the power of the four Divine Metacs.

With this empowerment, the undead giant rushed over to the giant wolf. It raised the giant club in its hand high into the sky. Then it smashed the club down on the giant wolf.

The power of the swinging club was 8(Cultivation Rank) × (8(Will) + 8(Mind) + 8(Soul) + 8(Body)) × (8(Death’s Calling Metac) + 8(Spirit Mark) + 8(Death Crow)) + 8(Giant Zombie)), which is 8,192 units of divine power.

Even before the club struck the giant wolf, the club was already deforming. The power driving it was too much for it to bear, so its body was twisting and warping. It was expected that anything the club made contact with wouldn’t fare well.

Yet, the giant wolf raised its paw and grabbed the club. The collision between them caused the club to shatter and explode. But the paw of the giant wolf was fine.

Monarch Giant Zombie’s eyes shrank when he saw this. As shrapnel from the exploded club scattered around them, he swung his other fist to smash the wolf’s head.

Unfortunately for him, he lost control of the undead giant at the last moment. One of the wolf’s tails had pierced the eye of the giant until it reached deep within the skull where the black crow was hiding.

The tail had a head with eyes and a jaw attached to it. So the tail was able to bite the black crow and kill it. This caused the undead giant to lose its source of power and go limp.

Without the Monarch Giant Zombie to animate it, the undead giant lost all of its power. It fell to the ground dead, or as dead as an undead skeleton could be.
