THE GOD EATER

Now that he is right in the core of the target’s Cave Heaven and has shown how easily he could destroy everything the target had in such a way that reincarnating will quickly become a luxury that the death cultivator wouldn’t be able to afford, he felt he could be straightforward with his request.

As it turned out, Monarch Giant Zombie also preferred this straightforward approach. But he had problems getting over the implications of the offer.

His eyes narrowed, and his mind began to churn when he heard the offer. When he remembered how easily he had been defeated by this giant wolf, he seemed to have realized something.

But what he realized only made his mind churn even more. His emotions also boiled with fear, surprise, and excitement. He didn’t know what to feel, but he very much knew what he should say.

Actually, it didn’t matter what he was asked to do. There was only one acceptable answer to this.

He simply didn’t have the choice to give a negative response. Besides, he was also open-minded and willing to give the idea a shot.

So after he got over the shock of the request, he said, ”I am willing, my lord.”

In response, Loki chuckled and said, ”Good choice.”

”Now listen and listen carefully. This is how we will go about it. If you do your part well, you will soar into the sky.”

After he said this, Loki began explaining the plan to him. In the second dimension, he was also evaluating his actions and reevaluating his plans.

When he thought about how he had subdued Monarch Giant Zombie, he said, ”So far, so good. It seems I will be able to repeat what I did with Money Body here. If it works out, I should seek out the other rank 8 cultivators.”

”If they won’t come to me, I should go to them. I wonder what their Dao Lords will think when I steal them.”

This thought brought a smile to his face. But the smile went away in just a second, and he frowned when he remembered something.

What he remembered made him say, ”The power of a Supreme Metac has been good so far. But I still can’t force the world to convert into law fragments for me. Why is that?”

He thought of this problem for a few seconds, but he couldn’t figure it out. So he said, ”Maybe it is time to ask someone who knows the answer. I have some free help anyway. I can just send one of them.”

He decided that it was time to get some much-needed answers. In order to fix this problem, he sent one of the manifestations of Fenrir out of the second heaven to find the answers he wanted.

When the manifestation left the second heaven and entered the second dimension, it came under the surveillance of the Blessed Heaven World. Even though the manifestation didn’t stick around for long, it was still noticed.

Since the will of the world was able to notice the manifestation of Fenrir, the spirit of the Money Pathway was also able to notice it. The spirit would have ignored this manifestation if it weren’t so obvious that the manifestation had a Dao Status of rank 9.

Loki could hide his Dao Status with his Cave Heaven, but the manifestation didn’t have that privilege. So as soon as it was noticed, alarm bells began ringing within the spirit of the pathway.

The world still didn’t think this manifestation was a threat. It seemed to need the manifestation to take highly destructive actions before it could be considered a threat. But the spirit of the Money Pathway wasn’t so tolerant.

The spirit of the Money Pathway immediately began sending the information about the appearance of a rank 9 entity to the Dao Lords while it began preparing for battle. It wasn’t the only one doing so. The spirit of every pathway was doing this.

They watched the white wolf fall from the second heaven into the river of death below. Then it disappeared from their sight.

The wolf was gone, but they didn’t relax. In fact, the spirits felt that the situation had become more complicated now that the wolf had entered the river of death. This was mainly because they didn’t understand what the wolf was doing.

In fact, they didn’t understand where the wolf had come from and why it was so powerful. They also didn’t know why it appeared in the Blessed Heaven World. Coupled with the fact that they expected the worst from it, all of the things they didn’t know only made their expectations worse.

After they sent messages to their respective Dao Lords, the second thing the spirits did was to begin investigating the origin and purpose of the white wolf.

Because of this, the spirit of Money Pathway asked the other spirits in the Four Directions Sect, saying, ”What is under there anyway? We have gone down there to search ourselves, but have found nothing.”

The spirit of the Death Pathway said, ”There should be nothing down there. The river of death kills all things.”

But the spirit of the Enslavement Pathway interjected, saying, ”Unless they are dead, have no lifespan, and have a Cave Heaven. Those get to reincarnate.”

This made the spirit of the Mind Hunter Pathway chuckle and say, ”Of course. What is dead can never die again.”

The spirit of the Death Pathway rolled its eyes as it said, ”Anyway, what I meant is still the case. If there is anything down there, it has to be dead. So we shouldn’t worry about it.”

But the spirit of the Money Pathway refused to be mollified by this explanation. It sneered, saying, ”If there is nothing to worry about down there, why is a rank 9 entity, something that shouldn’t exist in the entire Sea of Worlds and something we should be worried about, going into the river of death?”
