THE GOD EATER

In the past, he would keep Money Construct alive because if he killed the rank 6 money cultivator, the Vengeful Bones Metac would lose the target of revenge, which would weaken him. But things have changed, and he no longer needs the amplification from the Vengeful Bones Metac to beat Forced Exchange up.

He is a rank 8 cultivator with all of his stats raised to 8 units, so he has enough strength to defeat Forced Exchange with brute strength now. Besides, he can now use the Vengeful Bones Metac to absorb Forced Exchanges’ power and use it against him.

To his credit, Forced Exchange, was doing his best. He had activated the Forced Exchange Metac and he was willing to burn his lifespan for any ounce of power that he could summon.

He didn’t even there to use his Cave Heaven to block Loki. Unfortunately for him, this was not good enough for Loki. Not only did Loki refuse to let him go, but Loki was also hell bent on helping him meet his maker.

Loki had activated the World Power Ability to raise his Dao Status to rank 8, so he only needed to spend 1 years of lifespan to inquire, like Forced Exchange, being at rank 6, needed to spend 100 years of lifespan to block the inquiry.

Because of the difference of two levels in their power, the inquiry alone was making Forced Exchange lose 100 years of lifespan per second. But the difference in their power was also making Forced Exchange lose lifespan trying to heal the injuries that Loki was inflicting on him.

Loki had his left hand around Forced Exchange’s neck while he punched his face with his right hand. He was taking his time with killing Forced Exchange, so he didn’t try to smash the rank 6 money cultivator’s body to pieces.

Instead, he punched lightly just to ensure that he injured Forced Exchange, not to maim him. This way, Forced Exchange’s body would remain intact for a long time so that he could continue draining his lifespan with injuries without a pause because Forced Exchange’s body collapsed.

On the surface, Forced Exchange was shouting at him, saying, ”You’re done for. Do you hear me? Your days are numbered. When we are done with you, you will wish you were never born.”

But within the Cave Heaven, he was on his knees in front of Money Body, saying, ”Save me. Please save me.”

Money Body furrowed his brows as he said, ”What is happening? Who has forced you to this point?”

Forced Exchange immediately poured out his grievances, saying, ”He is a rank 8 divine being. So it cost me a hundred times more to block his inquiry.”

”He is also very strong. Each of his attacks is costing me 546 years of my lifespan to fix. He is hitting me ten times per second, so I need to spend nearly 5,500 years of my lifespan per second to stay alive.”

”At this rate, I will be dead in three minutes, even with the full support of our reserve of world essence. So I need you to come rescue me.”

All of these sounded too difficult to believe. Especially the first part of what Forced Exchange said.

Money Body couldn’t believe that first sentence, so he asked, saying, ”Didn’t you go chasing that mortal who replaced Gold Body? Where did the rank 8 cultivator come from? Was the rank 8 cultivator the one who killed Gold Body? What pathway do they belong to?”

Forced Exchange didn’t care about all of these questions as his life was at stake and he needed urgent help, not a question-and-answer session.

But his life was dwindling every moment, and he didn’t want to waste time arguing, so he was quick to say, ”The one who replaced Gold Body is the rank 8 cultivator.

His answer made Money Body shake his head and say, ”That can’t be right. I am the only rank 8 cultivator in the pathway.”

But Forced Exchange insisted, saying, ”He is definitely rank 8.”

Even so, Money Body still said with disbelief, ”But are you sure that he is rank 8? And are you certain that he is a money cultivator?”

So Forced Exchange nodded vehemently as he said, ”I am sure that he is a rank 8 cultivator because that’s how the divine constellation is treating him. I can be wrong, but there is no way that the divine constellation would be wrong.”

”I am also sure that he is a money cultivator because I saw him take the Divine Position of the Gold Body Metac. Plus, if he belonged to another pathway, there should have been law fragment suppression between us. But there is no such thing, so he must be a money cultivator like me.”

When Money Body heard this, he began to pace around the core of the Cave Heaven. The six members of the alliance watched this happen with trepidation. After all, if Money Body is pacing, the situation must be very serious.

As he paced, Money Body muttered, ”This can’t be right. There shouldn’t be another rank 8 cultivator in the Money Pathway. And even if there was, their attacks shouldn’t need 546 years of lifespan to heal.”

”I have three rank 8 Divine Metacs with a 900% amplification, yet I can only make my enemy consume 240 years of their lifespan per hit. This person can inflict twice as much damage, so something must be terribly wrong here.”

All of his musings could be heard by the others as he didn’t want to keep his thoughts to himself. He also wanted them to hear these thoughts so they would understand what he was about to do.

While he was talking aloud to them, he was also thinking inwardly to himself. His inner thoughts were, ’Even if he had four rank 8 Divine Metacs, the only way he can inflict so much damage per hit is if the amplification of the law fragments in his Cave Heaven is 1,600%.’
