THE GOD EATER

The Wealth Status Metac is a buff and debuff Metac. The Divine Metac will strengthen its wielder’s attacks or weaken the enemy based on the gap between the wealth of the wielder and the target.

Usually, this Divine Metac has a limited effect on money cultivators because money cultivators are rich cultivators. But the effect of the Divine Metac is superb on other kinds of cultivators.

With this kind of precedent, it is unlikely that the Wealth Status Metac would be able to work on this new Gold Body. But Monarch Wealth Status didn’t think he had anything to worry about.

When he thought about what he knew about the new Good Body, he chuckled and said inwardly, ’He used to be a mortal 5 minutes ago. This is the first time he is becoming a divine being, so he shouldn’t have any heritage from previous lifetimes.’

’He also just destroyed a city and killed a lot of people, so he should be in a lot of debt for that. Plus, I am hundreds of years older than him, so I should be richer than him. There is no way that this won’t work.’

With these thoughts to assure him, he used the Wealth Status on the new Good Body. So he was very surprised when the Divine Metac judged him to be less wealthy than the new Monarch Gold Body.

Since he had been judged to be less wealthy than the target, the Wealth Status Metac backfired, and he was weakened by 50% for the next one minute.

This outcome nearly made him choke to death in surprise. If he had air in his lungs, all the air would have been kicked out of his lungs because of the shock of being wrong and the drastic crippling of his strength.

Fortunately, he was a divine being and didn’t need air. But while he was able to get over the impact of the shocking outcome, he wouldn’t be able to get rid of the loss of 50% of his strength for the meantime.

This made him fall back in his position for fear that the other three would notice his weakness and take advantage of him. As for the new Gold Body taking advantage of his weakness to attack him, he didn’t worry about that at all because there were other people attacking the new Monarch Gold Body.

Actually, he thought about giving up now. When he thought about it, he said to himself, ’I don’t know how a young divine being like him can be richer than me. But if he is that rich, he will be very difficult to kill. After all, his Gold Body Divine Metac can use wealth to heal his injuries.’

He began to have thoughts that the new Monarch Gold Body might not be as easy to deal with as it appeared to be. But just like Monarch Life’s Worth, he didn’t want to give up now.

He also didn’t think that Gold Body could get out of these alive when there were three other divine beings pursuing the new Gold Body. So he decided to stay along to take advantage of the situation.

The other three didn’t know what had happened. But when they saw Monarch Wealth Status’s Life Fire flash briefly, they knew that he had just made a move against Gold Body.

Since they knew what the Wealth Status Metac could do and were also sure that the Monarch Wealth Status was richer than the new Gold Body, they were sure that the new Gold Body had been weakened. So they took this as a cue to attack the new Gold Body too.

Monarch Money Construct was the next to make a move. He used his Divine Metac to create a golden bow. Then he created a golden arrow in the golden bow and shot it at Gold Body.

The golden arrow flew over to Gold Body like a ray of light. It was incredibly fast and could also twist and turn its trajectory. So, even though Gold Body dodged and the arrow flew past him, this didn’t put an end to the threat of the arrow.

The golden arrow turned in front of Gold Body and returned to pierce his body. As if this wasn’t bad enough, Monarch Money Construct was still shooting more arrows at him.

Monarch Money Construct kept making and shooting golden arrows at him, and didn’t stop until he made 10 golden arrows. Each of the golden arrows was as fast as a ray of light and was also capable of tracking the target.

This quickly put Gold Body at a disadvantage. He couldn’t dodge all of the targets because there were too many, too fast, and impossible to get rid of by dodging, so he kept getting pierced.

But each time he was pierced by an arrow, a gaping hole would be punctured in his body. Just as he was reeling from this attack, Monarch Money Construct would produce more golden arrows to keep torturing him with.

The Money Construct Metac can be used to create various items by consuming money. These items are temporary and are more extensions of their wielder’s will, so the items are easy to control and can do things that normal items of the same kind can’t do.

In this case, Monarch Money Construct is creating arrows that are impossibly fast and will not stop going after the enemy in his sight until they’ve struck the enemy. These extra features that he imposed on the golden arrows make it so that each golden arrow costs a lot of money to make.

Each arrow costs 3 divine merit points, not 1 divine merit point, if he had made ordinary golden arrows with normal speed and an inability to track the target. So by creating ten such golden arrows, he had used up 30 divine merit points.

What he is doing is very expensive. But Monarch Money Construct thought that it was worth it to spend so much money just to prevent his target from avoiding the arrows, rather than letting the arrows go to waste.
