THE GOD EATER

Since he is creating a New Divine Position, he will need a mutated Life Ability for the Divine Position. He currently doesn’t have a mutated Life Ability, so he must get one.

In the past, he would have tried to get Greg or Lady Red. But he doesn’t have the time right now. He doesn’t want to waste a month trying to get them when the Thorn House of Commerce could be looking for him for what he did to Crystal City.

So he needed a mutated Life Ability as soon as possible. This is why he decided to go to the heavenly city in the heavens above the sky.

The heavenly city is where most rank 4 and rank 5 cultivators of the sect stay because it is where they need to go if they want to participate in the Heavenly Battlefield. By his estimate, there should be many people with mutated Life Abilities walking around.

This time, he isn’t picky and plans to grab any mutated Life Ability he can find. So, when he got to the heavenly city, he didn’t go looking for a specific person. He just spread his awareness through his Insight Stat to cover the whole city and check everyone one by one.

Other divine beings can’t do what he is doing because divine beings can’t see into the Energy Well. The only way they can tell if someone has a mutated Life Ability is if they see the person use the mutated Life Ability.

But he has the Power Identification Ability, so he doesn’t need to wait for everyone to use their Life Abilities before he can tell if they have a mutated Life Ability. In fact, he can tell exactly what mutated Life Ability they have with a single glance.

However, his Insight Stat did help in that he didn’t need to look directly at the person with his eyes to examine them. As long as they are within his range of perception, he can examine them.

As it turned out, his guess was right, and there were indeed a lot of people with mutated Life Abilities in the heavenly city. They ranged from rank 3 to rank 5. His eyes boggled when he saw so many dazzling mutated Life Abilities.

He licked his lips and said to himself, “So many to choose from. But what do I choose?”

He had been spoiled with too many options and didn’t know which one to pick. This was because he wanted all of them.

However, he was running out of time, so he had to pick one quickly. This made him choose the first familiar person he saw.

His eyes focused on a certain rank 5 forger and said, “It is you.”

Then he flew over to her and grabbed her. She screamed in fear and tried to escape, but Loki used the Mind Freeze Metac to immobilize her.

He took her into the world barrier and extracted her mutated Life Ability there. This mutated Life Ability was the mutated Craftsman’s Hammer Life Ability.

The forger the mutated Life Ability used to belong to was the same rank 5 forger that he had gone to his first Heavenly Battlefield with. She usually used her Life Ability to create meteors.

She was also the one who was killed by her own Life Ability when the seer with the Skill Copy Life Ability copied her mutated Life Ability and used it against her.

When Loki remembered that story, he patted her quickly decaying body and said, “You don’t have to worry about your mutated Life Ability anymore. I will help you turn into a Divine Metac, and I will achieve things that you could never do with it.”

She had come to the heavenly city in preparation to attend the upcoming Heavenly Battlefield. But since she was going to die in that Heavenly Battlefield, Loki thought that her mutated Life Ability was better off with him.

Of course, she wouldn’t agree with this. But she was now dead, so her opinion didn’t matter much.

Loki tossed aside her corpse and entered the third dimension again. This time, his destination is the small world with the rank 6 chameleon serving as the world king.

This is the small world that he learned about through Lady Red. He acquired the information about the small world by searching her mind until her mental world broke.

In the previous timeline, he had used the small world to upgrade the mutated Floating Furnace Life Ability into the Fire Weapon Divine Metac. But now he plans to use the small world to create a new Divine Position.

He is in a particular rush for time, so he used his Divine Metacs to speed up. This consumed some of his lifespan, but the consumption wasn’t something to worry about since he had just replenished his lifespan.

Besides, this consumption of lifespan is something he can’t avoid since he doesn’t have infinite life energy anymore. He is not a divine being of the Blessed Heaven World, so he doesn’t have an infinite supply of life energy from the world and can’t use the power of his Cave Heaven indefinitely.

So he was always going to have to spend his lifespan in order to reach his destination. This is why he ate Crystal City. As for the consequences of his actions, he put aside as something to deal with in the future.

Of course, by dealing with the consequences, he doesn’t plan to pay for the damage to the Thorn House of Commerce. Anytime he thought about

While he was rushing to the small world, what he did had caused a small stir in the Blessed Heaven World. It wasn’t that big of a stir, because it mainly affected some mortals and too few divine beings.

However, many people paid attention to the matter, including divine beings. This was because it was rare for a territory of the Four Directions Sect to be attacked and destroyed like that. Now that an entire city had been wiped out, they wanted to know how and why it happened.
