THE GOD EATER

Amelia ravaged the Earthly Battlefield and recruited the inhabitants of the world into the sect as if there was no tomorrow.

After one week, the sect considered the situation stabilized and began rewarding everyone for the cities that they had conquered. Loki got 8 grade 4 merit points for each of the four cities that he took down. So he earned 32 grade 4 merit points for his work.

Each city is worth 10 grade 4 merit points. Since he didn’t take the city all by himself and only did the bulk of the work, he was given 8 out of 10 points. The rest of the merit went to the people who accompanied him for the attack.

Everyone in the army earned something, from ordinary soldiers up to captains. Even Amelia earned an average of one grade 4 merit point for each city. Considering that they had gained control of nearly 500 cities, she earned nearly 500 grade 4 merit points.

But the main grade 5 merit points that she wanted to get didn’t come until a month after the conquest of Earthly Battlefield E6-137was completed.

During that one month of waiting, she had “recruited” 90% of the mortals in the small world into the Four Directions Sect. She did this by killing every 9 out of 10 mortals in the small world.

She could have kept every mortal alive and let them die naturally. While that will ensure that she will get a steady supply of recruits for the sect, it is slow and will take too long.

She wasn’t willing to wait, so she killed a lot of people. It was clear that she was cashing out. As for the repercussions of the massacre, she didn’t care about it. After all, she was leaving soon, so the next commander would be the one to bear the consequences.

So when one month was over, and the sect calculated the value of the souls they had gained from Earthly Battlefield E6-137 under her control and calculated the value of the cultivators that they had lost to the Martial Body Sect, they found that they had profited and began rewarding her with grade 5 merit points.

The grade 5 merit points came pouring in, and she earned more than 10 in one month. Of course, this surge will slow down since she has killed most of the people who will produce new recruits for her. But for now, this was more than enough for her.

She took what she got and immediately applied to be discharged. After her request was approved, she left Earthly Battlefield E6-137. She left with Loki because she had two promises she had to fulfill to him.

The two of them left the small world by train and took an airship after they got out. The airship didn’t go far before it was visited by an august guest.

A short lady with long flowing red hair that reached her feet suddenly appeared beside them on the deck. She had a mark on her forehead that was glowing brightly and difficult to look at.

Loki was taken aback by the appearance of this person and immediately took up a fighting stance. Two rail guns had appeared on his shoulders, and a sword and shield had appeared in his hands. But when he saw Amelia bow to this person, he relaxed a little bit.

Amelia said to the visitor, “It is good to see you again, Lady Red. Thank you for meeting me here.”

But Lady Red wasn’t looking at her. She was staring at Loki. To be specific, she was looking at Loki’s armor.

Lady Red said to Loki, “So you must be the secret weapon who helped her gain complete control of that small world. At a glance, I can tell that you are no ordinary cultivator. This mutated Life Ability of yours looks interesting.”

She was complimenting Loki, but her words only put her on edge even more.

He said to her, “I hope you won’t ask to borrow my Life Ability. I’m afraid I’ll disappoint you if you do because I don’t like to share.”

She chuckled and said, “Never mind. I have my own.”

As she said that, she produced a large bird of fire in the palm of her hands. The large bird took to the air and flew around her excitedly like a pet.

Then she said, “As you can see, my Life Ability is the Floating Furnace. Plus, it is mutated. So I don’t need whatever you have.”

Loki should have relaxed after seeing that they didn’t have the same Life Ability, but his eyes shrank in suspicion, and he remained tense because he recognized that particular bird.

So he said, “What a coincidence. I seemed to have seen this kind of Floating Furnace somewhere before.”

Lady Red nodded and said, “I’m sure you have, and I am sure that this is the same one that you saw. I have Amelia to thank for bringing that Floating Furnace into my possession, where it belongs.”

Amelia added, saying, “I sold Greg to her. It is why I didn’t kill him.”

After hearing what the two of them said, Loki nodded in understanding and said, “So this is what you meant by saying that he is worth more alive to you than dead.”

Amelia nodded and said, “I sold him for a natural wonder.”

But Lady Red tutted before saying, “It is called world heart fragment now, dear. The days of natural wonders are over. No one can find these things in nature anymore. We have to wage war on worlds, and we have to dig out the heart of those worlds before we can get them.”

As she said that, she threw a multi-colored piece of stone at Amelia. Amelia caught it eagerly and held on to it like it was the most important thing in the world to her. Then she began drooling over it.

After Amelia caught the stone of many colors, Lady Red said, “Congratulations, little dear. Once you fuse with it and get your rank 5 Core Metac, you will become one of us.”
