THE GOD EATER

The sight of Jane laughing her head off made him curl his lips and say, “Either that man is the funniest man alive, or he is being screwed with. I wonder which one it is.”

He ignored them, and they ignored him, too. Apparently, he was too weak to be schemed against and used as a body shield. As it turned out, he didn’t mind that they thought so of him.

The flying ship moved at a speed of 1,100 kilometers per hour. This was nearly at the speed of sound, so it was very fast. Even so, it still took them 45.5 hours to reach their destination. This was because the distance they had to travel was 50,000 kilometers.

In comparison, the circumference of the Earth in his past life was just 40,000 kilometers. On the other hand, the Central Domain is a square piece of land that is 100,000 kilometers across.

And this is just the size of one domain. The other four domains are also equally large.

When he thought of this, he did a quick calculation and a recollection of the size of the Earth in his past life. Then he compared it to the size of the Central Domain and the Blessed Heaven World as a whole.

He remembered that the surface area of Earth is 510 million square kilometers. In comparison, a quick calculation showed that the surface area of the Central Domain is 10 billion square kilometers.

After calculating this, he said, “If the other four domains are as large as the Central Domain, the combined size of the Blessed Heaven World will be 50 billion square kilometers.”

This number made him click his tongue in wonder and say to himself, “That’s already 98 times bigger than Earth. And this is just the Earthly realm. I wonder how large the Heavenly Realm is. If the Heavenly Realm is remotely the same size as the Earthly Realm, then Blessed Heaven World could be up to 100 billion square kilometers in size.”

He whistled in awe and said, “Wow, that’s a large number. Even Jupiter wasn’t that big.”

While he had the leisure to calculate the surface area of the world, no one had the leisure to do anything in Crystal City, which he left behind. This was because news had been leaked that a Divine Metac had appeared.

Divine beings had been aroused enough to descend to the city after they heard this news. They didn’t appear directly, though. They only hovered and lurked around Crystal City, while they sent some lackeys to enter the city and find the Divine Metac for them.

Most of the inhabitants of the city didn’t know that divine beings had surrounded the city and sealed it off. They only knew that rank 5 cultivators had suddenly appeared in great numbers, and that rank 4 cultivators were lying low.

The city entered a state of lockdown, and commercial activities slowed down to a halt. No one was out doing anything. Everyone was locked in their houses, fearing for their lives. So the entire city looked as empty as a ghost city.

The news that a rank 5 cultivator had reincarnated was also leaked during the investigation. But very few people cared about this or thought that it was important. At least, the rank 5 great cultivators and the rank 6 divine cultivators didn’t care about the reincarnation of a failed rank 5 being.

Many rank 4 cultivators cared about the full reincarnation, though. Unfortunately for them, they couldn’t do anything with this news in the meantime because the city was on lockdown.

Until the Divine Metac is found or determined to no longer be in Crystal City, no one would be allowed to enter or leave it. So the main focus right now is the Divine Metac that Slav awakened.

This main focus meant that the Rein Family and the Viking Blade Society were the first to be hit by the brunt of this investigation. So, for the first time in a long time, Skarg felt helpless.

At this moment, Skarg was standing on top of the headquarters of the Viking Blade Society. There was a cultivator on his left, one on his side, and another one behind him. So there were three cultivators in total, and all three of them had him surrounded.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, all three of them were rank 5 cultivators. He knew this immediately when he laid his eyes on them.

Of the three cultivators, one is a female while the rest are males. One of the males, the one on his right, is the oldest among the three. This old man has white hair. His skin is wrinkled, and his body is hunched over.

The female is the one standing on his left. She is middle-aged, while the last of the three, the male, is young and looks even younger than Skarg.

The three of them come in various shapes and sizes. But he could tell that they were all rank 5 cultivators because of the glowing mark on their foreheads.

He only glanced at that glowing mark briefly before he looked away. This was because the glow of the mark was too bright for his mind to withstand. He felt that looking at the mark one more moment would have caused his mind to be injured.

That was an hour ago. Since then, the rank 4 subordinates of the three rank 5 cultivators have ransacked the headquarters and his home looking for Slav. Even his ancestral home outside of the city, on his slave farm, was also searched up to five feet into the ground.

Despite their dedication to finding the Divine Metac, their efforts bore no fruit. Slav was nowhere to be found, and the Divine Metac that he was supposed to possess had also disappeared.

This is why Skarg was willing to believe that Slav had awakened a Divine Metac. He found it difficult to believe that his youngest child could hide from so many powerful people looking for him without the aid of a Divine Metac.
