THE GOD EATER

However, there was a slight change in Slav that he had never seen before. This little change caused the gaze he was using to look at Slav to change from that of great interest to that of shock. Then his shock changed into a look of confusion.

He even asked himself, saying, “Where is the Danger Sense Metac now? Did my taking what made it divine destroy it forever?”

“Where did he get this Space Blink? Why does he always awaken Divine Metacs anyway?”

“No matter. Let’s move on. Slav possesses a new divine grade Metac now, and that’s what matters.”

As he said this, the confusion on his face changed into a look of great interest. But by the time he was done speaking, his look of great interest had changed into a look of pure greed.

Meanwhile, the people around him were also looking at him with strange looks on their faces. Their gaze became more peculiar when they sensed a powerful aura emanating from him.

They don’t know that his aura indicated that he was a rank 3 being. All they knew was that the powerful breath that he was exhaling out of his body was similar to the one that Muni also exhales when he breathes out.

But Muni knew exactly what cultivation Loki was at as soon as he sensed it. There was also another person who was able to recognize that Loki was at rank 3. This person was Slav.

Slav had met many rank 3 beings before, so he was able to instantly recognize the power of Loki’s breath. He was also highly knowledgeable, so he was able to guess why Loki had awakened with rank 3 cultivation.

When the guess popped into his head, his eyes widened until they nearly popped out of his skull. His gaze was full of surprise as he thought to himself, “He is a reincarnation! It is a full reincarnation, too.”

Then he asked himself in fear, “How can Loki be a reincarnation? We are doomed.”

He has heard his father say that everyone reincarnates, but there are four types of reincarnation. These four are called Full Reincarnation, Half Reincarnation, Quarter Reincarnation, and Empty Reincarnation.

Full Reincarnation is when a cultivator who is at least at the fifth rank of cultivation reincarnates with both their Core Metac and Life Ability. Of course, they also reincarnate with the memories of their last life.

A Life Ability is only something that a rank 3 Cultivator and above can have, so full reincarnators immediately acquire a cultivation of rank 3 as soon as they awaken. So, full reincarnators possess power and memories from their last life.

For Half Reincarnation, the minimum requirement becomes someone who has achieved rank 5 cultivation in their last two lifetimes. This is a more relaxing requirement as it doesn’t need one to be a rank 5 cultivator in their last life.

Of course, reincarnating like this also leads to a loss of benefits. A half reincarnator can only reincarnate with the memories of their last life and their Core Metac.

Half reincarnators won’t have their Life Ability, so they won’t have rank 3 power as soon as they awaken. But their Core Metac will ensure that they have above 50% potential, and their memories of two lifetimes will make it easier for them to make good use of this talent and advance quickly.

Beneath this level of reincarnation is the Quarter Reincarnation. This kind of reincarnation only grants one memories of their past life and nothing else. He doesn’t know the requirements for this because even his father doesn’t know.

Lastly, there is empty reincarnation. This kind of reincarnation grants no advantages. Even memories are absent.

This is the kind of reincarnation that everyone undergoes. Everyone reincarnates lifetime after lifetime, but they don’t have any memory of their previous lifetimes, so they don’t remember anything about their previous lifetimes.

In general, rank 5 cultivators who die once get Full Reincarnation. But if they fail to advance back to rank 6 before they die again, they will only be able to achieve a Half Reincarnation in their second lifetime. But if they still fail to return to their rank 6 cultivation a third time, they run the risk of only reincarnating with their memories or not reincarnating with anything at all.

He remembered that when his father was talking about this, his father had said, “So anyone can be the reincarnation of a great cultivator who failed to become a divine being.”

His father had even chuckled and said, “Heck, they might even be the reincarnation of a divine being, too. Who knows?”

He had always taken what his father said to heart and viewed everyone as being the possible reincarnation of a great being. But never in his life did he consider Loki to be a full reincarnation of a great cultivator because no full reincarnation will be a slave.

A full reincarnation means that they were at rank 5 in their previous lifetime. So with that kind of power, they should be able to buy reincarnation insurance and many other things that will ensure that they awaken and don’t waste their second lifetime.

But no matter how absurd it is, it has already happened. It has happened that he and his family dated to enslave a great cultivator. Not only that, but they tried to stop the great cultivator from awakening, and they even sent someone to kill the reincarnator.

The repercussions for all these cannot be good. The more he thought about this, the more he began to panic.

He wanted to run away as soon as possible. Fortunately, he awakened a Core Metac that can help with just that. So he immediately activated the Space Blink Metac to create some distance between himself and Muni.

His position flickered, and he appeared behind Muni. So not only had he crossed the room, but he had also put someone who could contend with Loki before himself as a shield.
