THE GOD EATER

When he thought about how much time he had left to achieve rank 6, he said, “It is tight, but I should be able to make it. Even if I don’t make it, as long as I advance to rank 5, I can give it another shot.”

He is confident in his talent, but isn’t confident about advancing to rank 6 because it has been stated many times that it isn’t about talent. But no matter how difficult it is to become a divine being, he is sure that he will be able to achieve it in this life or the next.

The second thing that he saw was that the size of the fifth energy chamber had gone from 13 units to 86, like the other four, while the energy density in the other four energy chambers had increased from level 9 at the early state of rank 3 to level 12 at the peak stage of rank 3 because of the rank 3 Cloudy Date Metacs that he bought and used before going after Slav.

These two changes increased the size of his energy chamber from 357 to 430 units. As for his total internal energy, it increased from 91,392 points to 726,528 points.

As large as this is, there is still room for improvement in the fifth energy chamber. Once he raises the cultivation of the fifth energy chamber from the early state of rank 3 to the peak stage, he will gain another boost.

The third change that he noticed was that nearly all of his stats had diminished. Actually, he sensed the weakness even before he saw just how much he diminished through the Power Identification Ability.

This made him say to himself with bitterness, “I guess all of the stuff I bought to strengthen my body, soul, and mind has gone to waste again. I can only count on my skill, will, and now my Life Ability.”

His will remains the same at rank 5, but his recent brush with death has added a whooping 50% progress to its advancement to rank 6. His skill also improved by 1%. As small as this was, it brought a smile to his face.

He even said, “So it wasn’t all bad.”

His brush with death wasn’t all that bad at all. He had regretted taking the Danger Sense Metac before. But all of that regret has left his body after seeing what was residing in his fifth energy chamber.

When Fenrir had taken the Beautiful Woman Metac of the Dual Cultivation Pathway and fused it with the fifth energy chamber, it didn’t just discard the Danger Sense Metac that used to be there. It took something from the Danger Sense Metac and added it to the Beautiful Woman Metac.

He isn’t sure what exactly Fenrir took from the Danger Sense Metac, but he knows that whatever that thing is, it is what makes the Danger Sense Metac a Divine Metac.

So Fenrir removed the qualifications of the Danger Sense Metac and gave it to the Beautiful Woman Metac before it discarded the unnecessary part of the Danger Sense Metac. This process led to the upgrade of the Beautiful Woman Metac into a Divine Metac.

Not only that, but for some unknown reason, the upgrade of the Beautiful Woman Metac into a Divine Metac also caused it to change into the Reversal Metac. The product of the fusion, the Reversal Metac, is still a Metac of the Dual Cultivation Pathway, though.

This made him rub his chin and say, “It is clear that what was removed from the Danger Sense Metac and fused with the Beautiful Woman Metac is what caused it to change. But what is the Reversal Metac? Is it a new Divine Metac or an old one that suddenly appeared within me after the fusion?”

“And are all Divine Metacs Core Metacs? How are Divine Metacs made anyway? Surely people don’t have something like Fenrir to create Divine Metacs. Even if they do, they will still need another Divine Metac to create another one. So is the number of Divine Metacs fixed, or can new ones be created?”

These questions are too difficult for him to answer, so he couldn’t figure them out. One of the reasons for this difficulty is that information about Divine Metacs is rare.

The only information he knows about them is that Divine Metacs are rare, only Divine Metacs can reach rank 6, and that Divine Metacs are needed to advance to rank 6. As for where Divine Metacs come from, no one has said anything about it.

This made him think to himself, saying, “I should get more information about Divine Metacs. In the meantime, where is the Danger Sense Metac now anyway?”

His eyes glinted with greed as he said, “I don’t mind going for another spin with that dangerous Metac if it can help me upgrade the Sword Heart Metac, the Telekinesis Metac, and the Telepathy Metac to the divine grade.”

He had cursed Slav and had deeply regretted that he took the Danger Sense Metac when that large hand from the sky was pursuing him. But now that the Danger Sense Metac gave him a benefit, and the benefit is so sweet, he has decided that the Danger Sense Metac isn’t so bad.

Not only that, he even wants to find the Danger Sense Metac again and use it to upgrade his other three Core Metac. So his gaze shifted to Slav, and he activated the Power Identification Ability to see if Slav possessed that lovely Metac called the Danger Sense Metac.

He can now see more about a target through the Power Identification Ability thanks to the advancement that Fenrir had undergone, so he was able to see more information about Slav.

He can now see the power of Slav’s Will, Mind, and Skill. They are weak, which is expected for a newly awakened cultivator to have. So, Slav remained nearly the same.
