THE GOD EATER

Fenrir changed, and so did the energy threads. The energy threads finished spreading to every part of his body, including his brain. Then they congregated at the base of his brain on the middle of his brain stem and began fusing there.

The energy threads didn’t fuse completely after converging on his brain stem, though. Only two of them fused immediately. As for the rest, he would have to make them fuse manually.

But that is for the future. For now, he has successfully advanced to rank 3. So he has a lot to get used to.

He wanted to see how much he had changed after the breakthrough, so he immediately used the Power Identification Ability on himself.

Age: 23 Years and 5 Months /77 Years 9 Months.

Race: Human

Energy Quantity: 9,856 + 9,856 + 9,856 + 9,856 = 39,424 >> 22,016 + 22,016 + 22,016 + 22,016 + 3,328 = 91,392.

Energy Density: (8)(8)(8)(8) >> (9)(9)(9)(9)(9)

Energy Rank: 2 >> 3.

Energy Threads: 77 + 77 + 77 + 77 = 308 >> 86 + 86 + 86 + 86 + 13 = 357.

Body: 2.0 > 3.0

Soul: 2.0.

Mind: 2.0.

Will: 5.

Skill: 150% >> 210%.

CORE METAC:

1. Fenrir (Divine): Power Identification. Tracking. Seal. Devouring. Siphon. Shifting Armor (Life Ability).

2. Rewind. Sword Heart. Telepathy. Telekinesis. (Empty)

BRANCH METAC (RANK):

1. Mind Hunter Pathway: Mind Stab (3). Mind Shield (3). Hypnotize (3). Double Mind (3). Triple Mind (3). Concentration (3).

2. Forging Pathway: Liquid Metal (3). Body Lever (3). Living Armament (3). Copper Body (1). Iron Body (2). Refined Steel Body (3).

3. Sword Pathway: Sword Break (3). Sword Edge (3). Sword Dance (3). Sword Steps (3). Hidden Sword (3).

His age has increased from 22 Years 7 Months to 23 Years and 5 Months. This is because of the 10 months he spent learning how to forge, and the one month he spent in the initiation program after reverting time since then.

Still, the most important change is that his energy rank has increased from 2 to 3. This allowed his energy density to break through the limit of level 8 and reach level 9.

So the energy that each chamber was carrying became more powerful, doubled in quantity, and could now reach level 12 in density.

When combined with the fact that the potential of each energy had been increased from 77 units to 86 units and the fact that he recently gained a fifth energy chamber with a capacity of 13 units, his total energy increased from 39,424 to 91,392 units.

In comparison, a normal rank 3 cultivator with one energy chamber with a potential of 86 units will have an energy storage of 22,016. So his total energy size is 4.15 times greater than that of his peers.

To possess this much energy at rank 3 is clearly abnormal. But there is still something that is more abnormal than this.

He possesses 357 energy threads now, so his energy recovery will be improved by 357%. His normal recovery is 5.95 units per minute. This is increased by 357% for each energy chamber to 21.2415 units per minute.

Since he has five energy chambers now, his combined energy recovery rate is 106.2075 per minute. In other words, he will recover 106.2075/357, which is approximately 29.75% of his total energy capacity per minute.

Since his total energy capacity is 91,292 units, he will be recovering 27,189 units of energy per minute or 1,631,347.2 units per hour. In comparison, at rank 2, he required four minutes to recover all of his energy. But now, all he needs is 3 minutes.

As he thought of this, his eyes lit up as he said, “This is just what I can recover now. When I advance to the peak of rank 3, my total energy capacity and energy recovery will increase by 8 times.”

“Then, when I get a Core Metac for the fifth energy chamber, I will experience another boost. At that time, I will have no problem using rank 4 Metacs.”

He doesn’t have any status, so he will be two times weaker than his peers with a rank 2 status. Using rank 4 Metacs will help him narrow that gap, so it is a welcome development for him.

If using rank 4 Metacs doesn’t help him catch up to his privileged peers with statuses, then upgrading his body, mind, and soul to rank 3 should do the trick. If this still doesn’t work, he can only hope that the perks he gained when he advanced to rank 3 will help cover the difference.

He gained two perks when he advanced to rank 3. The first is the Life Ability, and the second is the participation of the size of the energy well in the creation of power.

To be honest, it is because of the Life Ability and the fusion that it facilitated between the host and the Core Metac that this second perk came about.

At rank 2, the Core Metac fused with the energy well. But only the Core Metac counts as part of the power output, and it counts specifically as the cultivation rank.

But after the Life Ability increased the level of fusion between Core Metac and the host, the size of the energy well will now count as part of the power output. To be specific, it will count as part of the (Stats) portion of power, similar to body, soul, will, and mind.

His power formula used to be (Cultivation level) × (Stat) × (Metac) × (Overdrive). But it is now (Cultivation level) × (Stat + Potential%) × (Metac) × (Overdrive). So any stat that he uses, be it body, soul, will, or mind, will gain a boost of the potential of the cultivator.

This shows just how important potential and talent are to a cultivator. Not only does potential affect energy recovery rate and overload limit, but it also grants another passive boost to the host that is in the form of direct power.
