The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 208: Chapter 153: Shocking! Skull Shattered!

Moreover, it’s a criminal case of a highly vicious nature.

After a long pause, Mr. Lin said in a deep voice: ”Immediately instruct the lab examiners to produce results as soon as possible and determine whether there are accelerants like alcohol or gasoline in the burn residue collected at the scene.”

”Yes! We’re heading to the lab right away and will report the results at the earliest time.”

At this moment.

Inside the police station in the industrial park, a young woman was choking with sobs in the office.

She was Chen Minghao’s wife, Wu Juan.

Zhang Hu handed over a pack of tissues, ”Ms. Wu, please don’t be too pessimistic.”

”We are currently only suspecting that the deceased from the scene is Chen Minghao, but have not confirmed the true identity.”

”A body was found in his bedroom bed, if it’s not Chen Minghao, then who else could it be?”

Just after drying her tears, suddenly she burst into tears again.

”Waaa, my husband, hurry back.”

”How can you let me and the child live?”

”How cruel you are!”

...

Zhang Hu gave a signal to the waiting female officer beside him.

The female officer understood immediately, put on gloves, approached, and said, ”Hello! As part of the investigation needs.”

”We need to collect some blood samples from you and your daughter, to determine the deceased’s true identity through biological inheritance patterns.”

Wu Juan pulled out a tissue, wiped her tears, and nodded helplessly.

The female officer said: ”Please extend your right finger.”

Then she took out a blood collection needle and card from the toolkit.

She pricked Wu Juan’s right fingertip, squeezed blood onto the test paper.

After collecting the blood sample, Zhang Hu asked: ”Did Chen Minghao come home yesterday?”

Wu Juan sobbed twice and replied, ”He came back yesterday afternoon, picked up the child from school, said he had a dinner engagement in the evening, didn’t want to disturb us, so he wouldn’t come home!”

Zhang Hu turned to look at the child next to her, estimated to be only five or six years old, and asked in a deep voice, ”Was Chen Minghao remarried?”

Wu Juan nodded, ”Yes, he was remarried.”

”Has Chen Minghao ever had any conflicts with others?”

Wu Juan shook her head.

”He has been in the clothing industry for many years, and there might be some business competition.”

”But as for deep hatred, I haven’t heard of any.”

Zhang Hu nodded, recalling the two bodies found at the death scene, one of them was female.

He continued, ”How is Chen Minghao’s personal emotional life?”

Pausing slightly, he asked, ”I might be a bit direct, does he have any affairs outside marriage?”

Upon hearing this, Wu Juan bowed her head slightly and said, ”Probably not!”

”Sometimes those women he contacts on business occasions are just for social interactions.”

”He cares very much about us; otherwise, he wouldn’t stay out late after socializing.”

Zhang Hu’s lip corner slightly curved, was that supposed to be care about you mother and daughter, clearly, he was enjoying himself outside.

Now, Wu Juan only knew there was one deceased indoor.

If she knew there were two deceased bodies on the bed inside, one male and one female.

I wonder if she would still cry so heartbrokenly.

After asking a few more simple questions, Zhang Hu said, ”Thank you for your cooperation, please head back for now, if we identify the body, we’ll contact you.”

Then, Wu Juan and her daughter stood up.

Suddenly, Wu Juan asked: ”Can I go to his office and have a look now?”

Zhang Hu was a bit surprised, ”After the office was ablaze, it got squirted with high-pressure water, it’s already in a mess.”

Wu Juan said, ”No worries, I just hope to find the safe.”

In a moment, Zhang Hu suddenly understood what she meant.

Zhang Hu hurriedly said, ”Don’t worry! The property inside is still there!”

”Due to the case investigation, we temporarily blockade the death scene, and will lift the blockade once the investigation is over.”

Wu Juan nodded disappointedly.

Watching the two leave, a policeman from the station beside said, ”Mr. Zhang, do you think this woman really doesn’t know?”

Zhang Hu lit a cigarette and asked in a deep voice, ”You mean she wouldn’t know about what matter?”

”About Chen Minghao’s inappropriate conduct outside.”

Zhang Hu replied, ”Did you notice, when I asked her that question just now, her gaze somewhat dodged, indicating she must be hiding something.”

”Mr. Zhang, do you mean she knows about her husband’s affairs outside?”

Zhang Hu took two puffs and said, ”I think this possibility is very high!”

The young officer said, ”Her husband’s corpse is hardly cold, and she’s already concerned about the assets!”

”Now, I find her sorrow was just pretended!”

Zhang Hu said: ”The sorrow could be real, but perhaps it wasn’t heartfelt.”

At this moment.

In the forensic autopsy room, everyone’s gaze was all focused on the trachea of the deceased.

Jiang An once again carefully peeled open the tracheal lining, holding a magnifying glass in his hand, observed closely, still not seeing any dust adherence.

After pondering for a long time, he said in a deep voice, ”Mr. Ma, Mr. Li, I believe this deceased died before the fire broke out.”

Li Jian asked, ”Can you distinguish whether the deceased’s head was severed before the fire?”

Jiang An answered, ”Mr. Li, from the condition at the tracheal entrance, it doesn’t support that conclusion.”

”Oh? What do you mean?”

Instantly, Li Jian and Mr. Ma looked perplexed.

Jiang An continued, ”Judging from the present tracheal entrance’s condition, I suspect this deceased’s head wasn’t separated during the fire.”

Wan looked down at the burnt human tissue on the stainless steel autopsy table and asked, ”Can you differentiate just from this charred lump?”
