Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 546: Arrival, Jasmine’s Ancestor

Everyone in the room froze when they heard the voice. They all instantly turned to the source.

Jasmine’s eyes widened in excitement upon seeing the person. Although he looked slightly different from before, she did not take much time to recognize him.

”Chief Grey!”

As soon as she exclaimed, the abyssal being spoke out coldly. ”Who are you...”

However, just before he could finish his words, the abyssal being froze as he felt a power erupt from his body.

Reality violently glitched apart around him as the abyssal being reached finality and was erased to nothing but a flicker of dust.

Everyone in the room froze in fear seeing this.

”Stay put.” Grey casually glanced at Jasmine.

The following instant, he snapped his fingers, and the anchor-looking space station descended down to NeoStar.

”You came at a really bad time, Chief Grey,” Jasmine said with a helpless look. ”The abyssal beings had descended to NeoStar now out of all times.”

”Do not worry about that.” Grey smiled.

His Nexus halo appeared in full motion.

Cleansing this small planet of the abyssal energy was an effortless feat.

A ring of light erupted from him, spreading across the planet. Modern mages and soldiers fighting across the world all froze in their tracks as they saw the corruption fields and the corrupted beings falling one by one.

Jasmine was pleasantly surprised seeing the halo.

”Did you awaken as a full saint, Chief Grey?” Jasmine asked in surprise.

”Of course,” Grey replied with a small smile.

”Perfect. Can I get some samples of your essence?” Jasmine suddenly became excited as she looked at Grey expectantly.

”That is your concern?” Grey asked with twitching lips.

”Should you not worry about NeoStar?”

”Oh yeah.” Jasmine scratched her head helplessly.

”Come with me, Chief Grey. I will take you to the Central Region of NeoStar. That is where my institute is situated.”

Grey nodded. ”The others are here as well. I will bring the reality ship in.”

”This looks like any other planet from our universe, right?” Miwa, who was with Alissa and Julie, could not help but ask.

”Are we really in a different universe?”

”Of course,” Alissa was the one who replied. ”Miwa, you should not look down on Alan Benson. He is a very powerful being who created the Esper Evolutionary Path.”

”Hm.” Miwa nodded.

Alissa was secretly happy on the inside. This powerful being was Grey’s disciple. That was a charm he always had. He naturally attracted the attention of the powerful by defying the odds.

”NeoStar.” Eterna analyzed the place with her eyes.

Soon, they descended at a huge tower.

Jasmine immediately rushed into the arms of Valeria and Lia; they were the closest among everyone.

”Hi, sisters.” Jasmine greeted them with a cheerful smile.

”How have you all been?”

”You left without saying anything to us,” Valeria snorted and said. ”You cannot call us sisters.”

Jasmine smiled embarrassingly.

”But Chief Grey left me in that backwater, saying he would come back in a few weeks. I was getting bored,” Jasmine said while clicking her tongue.

”I came by a week later, by the way,” Grey replied helplessly.

”It has only been a month since you left,” Grey added.

”What? Only a month?” Jasmine was surprised. ”For me, 10 year has already passed.”

”I can tell.” Grey glanced at her. She looked more mature now. But, 10 years to an evolver was nothing.

”Who are these people, Miss Jasmine?” Just then, a blonde-haired girl in a lab coat appeared. What Grey noticed was that the blonde-haired girl looked kind of similar to Jasmine.

He looked at Jasmine and then back at the blonde-haired girl and blinked.

Jasmine, who was by his side, winked at him.

”You thought right, Chief. That is my ancestor.”

”Of course it is.” Grey’s lips twitched.

This crazy woman, was she not afraid of creating a time paradox?

What if she does something bad by meeting her ancestor and does something that significantly changes history? Will Jasmine not get erased as a result?

”I know what you are thinking.” Jasmine, having seen through Grey’s thoughts twice, spoke once again telepathically. ”I am safe from a time paradox or existence erasure due to altering the future because of my Future One physique.”

”There is such a thing?” Grey was surprised.

Indeed, a Future One physique could not be looked down on; it held more mysteries than what meets the eye.

”Miss Isabelle. These are my friends from afar.”

”From afar?” Isabelle pondered. However, just as quickly, she changed the subject.

”But that is not important right now. Miss Jasmine, all the corruption fields across NeoStar, which spawned over millions, have been wiped out in an instant!”

Her voice was filled with uncertainty and disbelief as she spoke.

Jasmine chuckled softly.

”You can thank my friend over there,” Jasmine said as she pointed at Grey.

”Him?” Isabelle looked at Grey. He was pretty handsome. Isabelle also had kept pretty boys like this as well.

Most importantly, this man looked very young.

”Are you sure?” She turned back to Jasmine and asked with a blink.

”This kid did it?”

Jasmine burst out laughing upon hearing this. Grey had dark lines form on his forehead.

Being looked down on was one thing, but he was also reduced to just a ”kid.”

But it was fair, he really was one. But he was becoming more mature and powerful with each passing day.

Every day was eventful for Grey. Sometimes, one day is enough to show drastic changes in someone, rather than needing countless years. That is the reason why people who go through a lot get mature quickly, while some act like they are still young despite being middle-aged.

Soon, Grey and others were invited into the tall tower they had descended into.

The inside was spacious with many floors. Jasmine took them to the top floor, with Isabelle and another man with a stern voice and in a military uniform joining them. He likely came here after Isabelle contacted him.

After seating themselves, the man in military uniform spoke. ”Let me introduce myself. Friends from afar. I am Marshal Antony. Nice to meet you all.”
