Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 537: Law of Infinity, The difference of Divine Law and Normal Law

”How is it going, Kaelith?” After settling his matters, Grey went to visit the gods.

”It is going well, Lord Grey,” Kaelith replied kindly. ”We are all working toward comprehending our Divine Laws with the God Empress and the Divine Primordial Axe.”

”Oh.” Grey nodded. ”How is a Divine Law any different from a normal law?”

He was quite curious about that specific distinction.

”Divine Laws are laws that carry the aura of divinity and Ascendancy Valor, similar to Source Laws.”

”The benefit is that ordinary laws and Daos will not work in the God World. No matter how strong an individual is, unless they possess special means like Ascendancy Valor, they cannot exercise their law or Dao authority over that realm.”

”Oh.” Grey nodded. ”Then, what about its impact over the normal world?”

”A Divine Law can overpower a normal law effortlessly. It possesses the same stages: Minor Succession, Major Succession, Advanced Succession, and Great Circle. However, the Minor Succession of a Divine Law would rival the Advanced Succession or even the Great Circle of a normal law.”

”Is that why it is so hard to comprehend?” Grey asked speechlessly.

”Yes,” Kaelith nodded. ”Even I have only stepped into the [Divine Law of Life and Death] at the Minor Succession.”

”But at my stage, I hold authority over an entire universe’s cycle of reincarnation, even more so than the Great Circle Being that have control over the law of life and death. I can forcefully pull back a soul that died and make them come back to life.”

”Usually, the normal [Law of Life and Death] you have comprehended will only work within your own universe unless you forcefully reach the Great Circle. Even then, you might only be able to operate at a Major Succession potency in another universe. But for a Divine Law, its enforcement is unconditional across the endless reality.”

”Senior Kaelith, what comes after the Great Circle of a law?”

”After the Great Circle? Well, after that, you have to become a ninth-rank transcendental being to take a leap beyond it. The ninth rank precisely deals with this concept, actually. You fuse with the law you have cultivated.”

”The ninth rank is commonly known as the Dao Generation Realm,” Kaelith said with a smile. ”You plant the law in your very existence, give birth to Dao power, and anchor yourself to the law you hold dominion over. At that point, your law transitions into a Dao. A Dao at the lowest level can inflict its authority over any universe, just like a Divine Law. However, because it is a Dao, its power can still be suppressed in certain higher planes of existence, unlike a Divine Law or a Source Law. Of course, there are other ways to reach the ninth rank. This is just the common path everyone uses. The alternative ways are excruciatingly hard but incredibly rewarding. But that is a different topic entirely.”

”There is such a thing?” Grey was startled.

”Yep.” Kaelith nodded. ”The Dao is formed from the core, making it very potent.”

”But a Divine Law or a Source Law equivalent will still emerge on top.”

”Then, what about the [Law of Hongmeng]? What is it?”

”It is a special law, much like the [Law of Finality]. The boundless expression only granted the authority to comprehend it to Pangu and his successors. It represents control over the origin and can command all other Divine Laws.”

”Oh.” Grey had a look of understanding.

”Then, is there a superior Source Law, similar to how the [Law of Hongmeng] is the superior of the Divine Laws?”

”There is.” Kaelith nodded. ”It is the [Law of Infinity].”

”The [Law of Infinity].” Grey’s eyes widened.

”Yes,” Kaelith nodded. ”The [Law of Infinity] is managed by Ouroboros, the Infinity Dragon. It is said to be an extension of a boundless expression from the Ascendancy Domain.”

”The Source Beings are not limited to True Dragons. There is the True Phoenix, True White Tiger, True Turtle, and True Qilin.”

”Uh-huh.”

”But these Source Beings... where were they when the Paragons attacked? Did they not get attacked?”

”The Paragons only attacked the gods because of the Heavenly Dao and because our primordial god, Pangu, spread the immortal path. Our god rivaled the Ascendancy Valor of the Paragons. They did not target the true Source Beings,” Kaelith said while shaking his head. ”They were safe during the siege. The Ouroboros Dragon did try to help, but it was futile in the end. We might be rivals, but we still somewhat team up during a crisis.”

”I see.” Grey nodded thoughtfully. ”Thank you for answering my questions.”

”No problem,” Kaelith said with a small smile.

With a better understanding of everything, Grey now wanted to try comprehending the Divine Laws himself.

After speaking with Kaelith, he understood that the [Divine Law of Space], [Divine Law of Time], [Divine Law of Life], and [Divine Law of Death] were merely the fundamental building blocks of the God World.

The exact same laws that were available in the normal universe were also available in the God World, such as Gravity, Spirit, and the rest.

If he could comprehend just one, his power would instantly rival a Great Circle expert in this universe.

He looked forward to comprehending the [Divine Law of Space] and the [Divine Law of Spirit] the most. With those two powers combined, he could alter reality purely based on his imagination.

He could make cartoons a reality with a simple wave of his hand.

”This is the equivalent power of a Great Circle, but a Divine Law can be utilized freely in any universe.” Grey sighed with deep emotion.

Seeing Grey’s curious gaze, Kaelith took him to a massive, pulsating Divine Crystal. It glowed with arcs of pristine, blinding energy. Immediately, Grey’s comprehension kicked in. He had tuned into the [Divine Law of Lightning].

For a brief moment, Grey fell into a deep trance as he absorbed all the profound insights appearing in his mind.

Unknown, glowing gates opened up within the information layer as the pure, crackling knowledge of the divine lightning surged into his consciousness.

A few days later.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the Divine Crystal, your comprehension over the [Divine Law of Lightning] has reached Minor Succession.]
