Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 472: Domain Expansion: Nexus Ascension

The world strobed blinding white and pitch black. Space and time shattered like cheap glass as the dragons and Grey’s Nexus Angels completely froze.

The only breathing entities left in the void were Grey and the Beast of Finality.

”Nexus Ascension.” Grey’s voice ripped through the silence like a glitch in the fabric of reality.

The frequential wave of the universe instantly desynchronized. A colossal dome of pure black light swallowed the dragons and Grey whole.

Vwoom.

”Huh?” The Dragon Monarch blinked.

He realized the starry sky was entirely gone. The light around him twisted into sickening spirals, and everything had come to a dead standstill.

”Elders?” The Dragon Monarch turned, but the sight punched the breath straight from his lungs.

Beside him, the ancient elders floated limp. Their eyes burned blank white, and their jaws hung unhinged in silent terror. Black smoke poured from their scales, carrying a terrifying aura he recognized instantly.

”Chaos miasma?!” he gasped.

Countless epochs ago, a chaotic rift had poisoned the starry sky. The higher beings who absorbed that corrupt power, mistaking it for chaos essence, rotted from the inside out. The ancient Dragon Ancestor had to use localized time reversal just to save them before leaving for the higher world.

”How is this here?”

But his nightmare continued. At the far edge of the black dome, his mighty dragon army was gone. In their place floated thousands of translucent embryos. The Dragon Monarch felt his chest tighten. Embryos. The ultimate sign of a dragon aging hundreds of thousands of years in reverse after a true death.

These remnants held the pure essence of the higher world. Melissa had awakened her true dragon bloodline through this exact power. Any being could absorb them to gain true dragon essence, though surviving the brutal inheritance was always a lethal gamble.

The core motto of the Dragon Clan was kinship, but the Monarch cared nothing for that. His eyes flashed with ravenous greed. He took a single step toward the floating prizes.

”What a pathetic sight.” A chilling, sympathetic voice echoed from every corner of the shattered world. ”I actually feel bad for the dragons. To think someone like you was their supreme ruler.”

A heavy sigh vibrated through the void.

The Dragon Monarch snarled and tried to spin around, but his physical body refused to obey. His arm was rapidly dissolving into glowing sludge.

”Huh?” His voice cracked in rising panic. ”Why is my body melting?!”

Pure terror flooded his eyes. He desperately tried to detonate his core, to summon his boundless mana. Nothing answered. There was only dead silence.

”Do not bother. In my domain, concepts that reject the Nexus simply cease to function. It does not matter how much of a god you think you are.”

This was the fundamental law of the Nexus. Once trapped inside this conceptual bubble, escape was mathematically impossible. The only reason Grey could sustain such godly suppression right now was the Beast of Finality continuously pumping endless energy directly into the domain core.

The Dragon Monarch stared at his dissolving flesh as true horror dawned on him. ”Is this... finality?”

”Correct,” Grey whispered, his cold voice resonating right beside the Monarch’s ear. ”The true power of my domain is creating an inescapable convergence point for your end. In this web of the Nexus, time and space die. Your past injuries, your present weaknesses, your inevitable future death... they all collapse into a single point in time.”

Grey’s eyes glowed with a merciless black light.

”To erase you.”

As the final word dropped, the Dragon Monarch completely liquefied and condensed into a pulsing embryo.

This was the inescapable finality of the dragon race. The domain forcefully accelerated the concept of the end. By fusing the Myriad Law of Chaos, his natural laws, and the Nexus Creator Invocation, Grey had forged a perfect execution ground.

Without the Nexus Halo, this domain only had a fifty percent chance to force a true death. Now, powered up and burning bright with supreme energy, that lethal probability had spiked to an unstoppable ninety percent.

”Still, to think these dragons would die to finality in the future. Are you the one causing trouble for this universe?” Grey softly patted the Beast of Finality with a chuckle.

He held the Crown of Finality now. With it, he could effectively deflect finality away from this universe.

In the next moment, the domain broke apart.

Normal experts never bothered giving their domain a second thought before collapsing it into an Origin Core for transcendence. But Grey felt his domain held much more potential than it appeared. It was the cumulative power of exactly what he was. By increasing this conceptual power, maybe he could evolve the domain into something even more terrifying?

Although, he honestly could not imagine there being something scarier than this inescapable void.

The domain disappeared like shattered glass. The million Nexus Angels all looked at Grey in perfect unison and bowed deeply.

They were all fully sentient and had watched the apocalyptic display just now. They held nothing but pure reverence for their lord.

”The dragons...” Alissa stared at the thousands of glowing embryos scattered across the starry sky in horror. So did everyone else down on the Origin Planet and watching the stream.

”The dragons... are dead?” The Grand Arbiter was visibly shaking.

”They are gone,” Grey’s voice boomed across the cosmos. ”Starting today, there will be no Dragon Clan. Well then, I have some personal business to take care of.”

As he said that, he reached out and gently grasped Alissa’s hand. She was still looking up at him with a completely stupefied expression.

This guy... only a few short months had passed for him, and yet he had grown to the point where he was strong enough to effortlessly erase the entire Dragon Clan.

”Why... How?” Alissa could not help but ask.

She still vividly remembered the Grey Lockhart who could not even evolve due to his genetic limitations. Yet, he surpassed everyone’s expectations over and over, to the point where there was simply nothing left to surpass.

There was no being in the starry sky that could defeat him anymore.

”It just happened. Well, for now, let us head into the Dragon Clan’s territory and look for your mother and our father.”

”She is sealed away in the deepest part of the dragon realm... with Father,” Alissa spoke with deep uncertainty.

”Do not worry. We will get them out.”

He squeezed her hand reassuringly. Alissa glanced up at Grey’s calm profile and then down at his firm grip.

For a split second, she was completely speechless.

Then, she was pulled forward into a tearing spatial crack. Before leaving the battlefield, Grey made sure to sweep all the glowing embryos into his spatial storage. The legion of Nexus Angels silently followed suit.

”Grey...” Anderson and Juli stared up at the empty sky in profound silence.

----

”Intruder! There is an intruder!”

The spatial crack led directly into an immense plane of existence filled with lush natural vegetation and towering mountain peaks designed for dragons to rest.

As soon as Grey and Alissa appeared in the skies of the Dragon World, every single remaining dragon went on high alert.

However, not a single one of them crossed the 6th Rank threshold.

The defending dragons could only stare in shock as just one percent of his Nexus Angels descended onto the realm.

Their holy spears rained from the sky like heaven-piercing light. As the supreme messengers of the Nexus, wherever their spears fell, imperfection was purified in an instant.

From what Grey understood, if he reached a higher level of Sainthood, this power could directly turn conceptual, rewriting imperfections to become actually perfect. It was literal reality-bending.

Grey and Alissa floated above the main Dragon Palace, which was as massive as the entire Star Blue planet back in the Milky Way Galaxy. They entered the grand structure without hesitation.

The King and the elders were already dead.

While dragons naturally possessed strong primal urges, their power levels were simply too high for them to reproduce easily. Hence, their remaining numbers were low, but still strong enough to crush the standard human armies of the Pan-Cosmic Alliance.

Soon, they arrived in the deepest, darkest depths of the Dragon Palace. There, Grey felt a subtle spatial fluctuation radiating from a glowing matrix cube hovering in the center of the room.

The Beast of Finality roared softly, communicating with Grey’s mind.

Hearing its suggestion, Grey shook his head. ”No need. I can unravel it myself.”

Grey stared intently at the seal. ”This matrix cube...”

He activated his Origin Line frequency. Immediately, glowing origin lines became visible, wrapping intricately across the matrix cube. If he cut them all precisely, he could break the cage.

”Perfect.” Grey rapidly uploaded the complex data related to these specific lines directly into his mental server.

His Source began to crack the multi-layered matrix at lightning speed. Soon, the exact conceptual threads he needed to destroy became perfectly clear. He swiftly uploaded the solution into the Event Horizon within his Source, emitting the command outward as pure cosmic radiation.

Normally, he could just smash a lock, but this specific matrix was at least a 7th Rank artifact.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing an entrapment matrix, you have comprehended the 4-Dimensional Entrapment Matrix Artifact Blueprint.]

Boom!

The radiation emitted from his Source acted as a frequential surge. The invisible wave contained all the necessary information and raw power to break down each of these defense lines on its own.

By the time the wave swept past, the complex matrix unraveled flawlessly, and a hidden spatial portal opened up.

Alissa was completely stunned seeing this bizarre, unfathomable power radiating from Grey. She had never witnessed anything like this before in her entire life.

”Let us go.” Grey, still holding tightly onto Alissa’s hand, led her forward into the newly opened spatial crack.

Unexpectedly, the legion of Nexus Angels entered with him in perfect formation.
