Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 274: Privilege of a Creator

Grey was not afraid of releasing the Art to the public and having it come back to bite him.

Because at the end of the day, he held absolute control over all practitioners of his evolutionary path.

If any of them even harbored the slightest intention of harming him, he could reduce them to cripples with a single thought. Their power, their progress, even their future all remained under his authority.

That was the privilege of a creator.

The authority known as Creator Invocation existed for that very reason.

”Speaking of the evolutionary path.” Grey fell into thought.

He still had not uploaded the second level of his evolutionary path.

Given his current state, he was confident that he could already deduce the route all the way to the third rank. The foundations were clear, and the direction was no longer vague.

Even so, he was not in a hurry to publish the next Chapter.

At the end of the day, refinement mattered more than speed.

Now that he had personally stepped into the second rank, his perspective had changed. Looking back at the first Chapter of the evolutionary path, he noticed several areas that could be improved. Some aspects felt rigid. Others could be made more accommodating.

He needed to verify whether those ideas were truly feasible.

More importantly, he needed to refine the second rank path so it could suit a wider range of people.

His evolutionary path was never meant to restrict its followers.

It was not about sacrificing flexibility for raw power.

On the contrary.

It was about drawing strength from other powers.

About integrating different systems, techniques, and paths to continuously elevate oneself.

That was the core philosophy behind his evolutionary path.

Grey’s gaze sharpened.

Only when that foundation was perfected would he release the next Chapter.

Anything less would be irresponsible.

With that thought settled, excitement surged through Grey once again.

Now that his internal deliberation was complete, it was finally time to test his newly created Art.

Just the thought of it made his blood boil.

He wanted to see how powerful it truly was. He wanted to witness just how much destructive force it could unleash when fully activated.

However, just as he was about to act, Grey abruptly stopped himself.

”What am I thinking?” His lips twitched as realization struck. ”If I use it here, wouldn’t I completely destroy this secret realm?”

For a brief moment, Grey did not know whether to laugh or cry.

”Let’s go outside.” He nodded to himself.

With a thought, he willed the secret realm’s portal into existence. Space rippled, and in the next instant, he returned to the location where he had originally been.

Out of curiosity, Grey glanced toward the spatial coordinate where the secret realm’s portal had just vanished.

While the portal existed, spatial nodes followed a distinct pattern, rotating around the edges of the opening as if maintaining stability. Now that it had disappeared, only a single spatial node remained behind.

That node looked different.

The moment Grey noticed it, his eyes widened.

[Your Comprehension Defies the Heavens! By observing the spatial node connected to the secret realm under your ownership, you have gained insight into the Spatial Law and the Divine Law of Space.]

”Interesting.” Grey murmured.

He teleported a short distance away.

Instantly, the spatial node moved.

Like a ball being kicked across a field, it shot toward him, following his position precisely.

Grey froze.

”Oh.”

It made sense.

The portal itself did not truly exist. What persisted was the spatial coordinate bound to his will. The secret realm’s spatial node was anchored to him, following him wherever he went.

As long as space existed, spatial nodes would exist.

And as long as he existed within space, the secret realm’s coordinates would follow him.

The simplicity of it surprised him.

To think the functioning of the secret realm was governed by such a fundamental rule.

Curious, Grey willed the secret realm portal to appear far away, at the very edge of his mental perception.

In the next instant, the spatial node beside him vanished.

At the same time, a distant spatial node swapped positions with it at the location Grey was observing. Space folded, and the secret realm portal opened there immediately.

”Oh.” Grey felt his understanding deepen further.

”Everything makes sense now.” He grinned.

Just then, a voice called out.

”Lord Grey!”

Grey turned toward the sound.

It was Brown. Beside him stood the immortal lady, her brows slightly furrowed as if she were deep in thought.

Grey had sensed their presence the moment he returned to reality. He simply had not bothered paying attention, far too absorbed in understanding the mechanics of his secret realm.

”Where did you disappear to?” Xia Qingyue moved faster than Brown, appearing beside him. ”You suddenly vanished after appearing here a few days ago.”

”A few days?” Grey was stunned.

His mind blanked for a moment.

What did she mean, a few days?

Hadn’t he only been inside the secret realm for a short while?

Then realization struck him.

Enlightenment.

He had been in an enlightened state. It felt brief to him, but time had continued flowing outside. More accurately, during enlightenment, the passage of time simply could not be perceived.

Only comprehension existed.

”I was comprehending something.” Grey replied, a wide grin spreading across his face.

”Comprehending something?” Xia Qingyue’s lips twitched.

Her instincts screamed danger.

”Should I be scared right now?” she asked flatly.

Every time this man claimed to be comprehending something, the result was usually world shaking.

Just in case, Xia Qingyue braced herself.

”You’ll understand in a moment.” Grey smiled. ”But just to be safe, you should put some distance between us.”

As he spoke, his figure flickered.

Xia Qingyue’s expression changed instantly.

She had prepared herself for shock, but what she sensed was far worse.

Spatial fluctuations!

They were emanating directly from Grey.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

For a moment, Xia Qingyue was completely lost for words.
