Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 269: Expansion of the secret realm, unexpected surprise

[So this is the true capability of a pseudo third ranker.]

[Isn’t he far too strong? Someone nerf him already!]

[Against a higher ranking evolver, nothing can resist. Not even decades of technological advancement can contend with the might of a third ranker. This is terrifying.]

[People like us can only dream of reaching such a level. I’m honestly shaken.]

The southern region was thrown into shock.

Very few had ever witnessed the power of a third ranker firsthand. Either one was close enough to be erased by the pressure alone, or far enough away to see nothing at all. To observe it clearly and survive was something most people would never experience in their entire lives.

This single display overturned countless assumptions.

”That’s that.” Grey smiled faintly.

With the matter settled, there was no longer any reason to remain here. It was time to pay Senior Xia Qingyue a visit.

Swoosh!

His figure shot into the sky, streaking forward like a shooting star as he headed straight toward the White Spring cities.

Along the way, Grey sensed the situation through his connections. One of the cities infiltrated by the infernals had already been breached, while another had fallen entirely under his control. The resistance there had collapsed far faster than expected.

Time passed in a blur.

In the next moment, Grey arrived back at White Spring Area.

Everything had already stabilized. Under the efficient coordination of the law enforcement bureau, panic had been suppressed and order restored. Defensive formations were active, patrols moved along the streets, and energy fluctuations had returned to safe levels.

Then, he looked towards the White Spring.

The white spring remained calm.

Earlier, the spring had been completely emptied of its cosmic water during Grey’s transformation, the violent surge of power disrupting the cosmic ore embryo at its core and halting its output entirely. With Grey gone and no other powerful presence lingering nearby, the pressure dissipated.

The cosmic ore embryo gradually restored its functioning.

Streams of refined cosmic energy condensed once more, pale liquid gathering as fresh cosmic water began to form. Ripples spread across the surface as the spring refilled naturally, its circulation returning to its original rhythm.

The cosmic ore embryo was far more effective than Grey had anticipated.

It did not simply absorb cosmic energy. It refined it while drawing it in, compressing cosmic energy into something stable before releasing it again. Leaving it here would only allow it to continue endlessly, wasting its true potential.

There was a more better way to use it.

His secret realm!

The secret realm still relied on slow intake. Energy drifted in from the outside, was filtered through the realmheart, and distributed evenly. Stable, controlled, but inefficient.

If the embryo was fused into the realmheart, that balance would change.

The realm would be able to gather energy more quickly, almost 100 times faster than before.

Since that was the case, there was no need for hesitation.

Grey lifted his hand.

The plateau beneath him trembled. Deep layers of earth responded instantly, rock folding inward as if acknowledging his will. A low rumble echoed as the massive ore embryo tore itself free, cosmic light flaring across its surface as space around it distorted faintly.

The moment it reached him, Grey vanished.

He reappeared beside the realmheart, space rippling faintly.

It pulsed steadily, heavy and rhythmic. Each beat drew in chaotic cosmic energy from beyond the secret realm, breaking it down through countless unseen layers before refining it into realmheart energy. That energy flowed outward, sustaining the sky above and the land below, maintaining the laws that bound the world together.

The core of a world’s will.

As Grey observed it, the realmheart reacted.

Its surface parted on its own. Layers unfolded, revealing an opening deep within, as though the realm itself was preparing to receive something essential. Grey did not hesitate and hurled the cosmic ore embryo inside.

The instant it vanished from sight, the secret realm convulsed.

Whrrmmm!

Realmheart energy surged violently. The sky trembled as pressure rippled through space itself. The ground shook hard enough for fractures to spread across the land, energy roaring through them in unstable waves.

For a single heartbeat, the realmheart fell silent.

Grey felt it clearly.

The next pulse detonated outward.

Boom!

The realmheart resumed its rhythm, but every beat carried a density it had never possessed before. Power poured out uncontrollably, the cosmic ore embryo anchoring itself within the core, forcing the realmheart to draw in energy aggressively rather than passively.

The skies roared.

The land quaked as space strained to contain the sudden surge of refined power. At the far boundaries of the secret realm, where rivers once spilled endlessly into chaotic space, the world barrier trembled violently under the pressure.

Cracks spread across it the moment realm power collided with its surface.

Fragments dissolved into nothing as the barrier failed.

Almost immediately, new layers of world energy surged outward, weaving themselves into shape. A fresh barrier formed as it expanded, growing rapidly into the surrounding chaos. As it pushed outward, the sky stretched with it, space unfolding in widening arcs.

The land followed.

Soil condensed from pure realm energy, forming layers of ground where nothing had existed before. Water gathered naturally, carving riverbeds as it flowed. Mountains rose from the depths, stone compressing and stacking under immense pressure until peaks pierced the sky.

Clouds stabilized overhead.

Vegetation burst from the land, roots sinking instantly into newly formed earth. Earthly veins anchored the terrain. Wood veins spread beneath the surface, threading life through the soil. Water veins flowed deep below, stabilizing circulation throughout the realm.

Expansion slowed.

The secret realm settled into a new balance, larger, denser, and far more complete than before.

Grey stood silently at the center of it all, eyes reflecting the reshaped world.

With the cosmic ore embryo fused into its heart, the secret realm had crossed a threshold.

”Wait. It swallowed it completely.” Grey was dumbfounded.

He raised a hand and pressed it against his face, his expression darkening.

The expansion of the secret realm had not come from the cosmic ore embryo fusing with the realmheart.

It expanded because it devoured the embryo....

Dark lines crept across Grey’s face as the realization settled in.

What this meant was the realm would continue drawing in energy at the same pace as before.

He exhaled slowly.

”But it’s not bad.” Grey shook his head. ”At least the energy levels of the secret realm have been restored.”

The residual power left behind by the embryo was dense enough to reinforce the realm’s foundation. With its current state, the secret realm was now capable of suppressing powerful evolvers. Anyone entering without permission would find their strength heavily restricted.

That alone made it worthwhile.

The expansion itself carried meaning.

The secret realm now held more power than before.

The realmheart had expanded significantly, its volume and presence far surpassing its previous state. Each pulse carried greater weight, stabilizing a much larger space.

Grey’s thoughts shifted.

If he could obtain the remaining chaos seals, this realm would continue to expand.

Possibly without limit.

Grey nodded faintly as he stood in the sky, gazing down at the transformed secret realm. His eyes traced the newly extended land before drifting toward the distant boundaries, where the world barrier met the chaotic currents beyond.

At that moment.

A chill ran straight down his spine.

His nervous system flared, instinct sending warning signals through his mind before conscious thought could catch up.

”...?”

The world within his vision began to distort.

Space fractured into unstable segments, reality itself flickering violently as everything he saw collapsed into abstract structures. Lines and points replaced form and depth, the entire world reorganizing itself into countless three dimensional nodes.

They overlapped, intersected, and extended infinitely.

Grey’s eyes widened at the sight.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens!]

[Sensing the chaotic currents of space and the boundaries of the secret realm, you have gained sudden enlightenment into the Law of Space.]

[YOU HAVE COMPREHENDED THE SPATIAL LAW.]
