Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 131: Inheritance (3)

The text below the pill recipe was about this place.

[About This Space]

[This small area is a miniature space built inside a structure within the inheritance ground. It had been expanded using a spatial formation, creating a stable pocket world meant solely for preserving herbs.

Several formations supported this garden. There were formations that watered the herbs, formations that tended to their growth, and formations that automatically collected fully matured herbs into spatial rings to keep them intact for years.

All of these formations were linked and inscribed into a single formation pillar beneath the mountain, known as the Circle Root Array.]

Grey appeared thoughtful. These formations were definitely very useful. A completely automated herb garden was something modern technology could accomplish, but doing it here with only formations felt unreal.

It was like an automatic grinding farm inside a game, except this was powered by the natural laws of the world.

In a way, formations were blocks of commands. You set conditions using the existing patterns hidden within the workings of heaven, and the formation would execute those blocks of commands until the condition was fulfilled. Formations were like a programming language, but one written for the world itself.

Grey continued reading.

The next section surprisingly described the furnace beside him.

[Azure Spirit Furnace]

[A four-star forged furnace, created by a four-star forge master. The furnace was built to strengthen the flames produced within it, making it easier to melt higher grade herbs and maintain stable heat during refinement.]

”A four-star furnace?” Grey’s expression immediately changed, then the very next second, without even thinking twice, he directly put the furnace into his spatial ring as if someone else would come to snatch it away.

”Yes! A four-star furnace!”

Grey wanted to jumped in joy, but that would be too embarrassing to do.

But, anyone who saw this information would have the same reaction.

A four-star forged furnace!

There was only one single four-star forge master in Blue Star, and it was the overseer of Celestial Flame Academy.

The fourth rank expert, the master of thousand hammers, Great Thousand-Hammer Master.

He was a prominent figure in the circle of evolvers, and the majority of the fourth rank experts personally forged elixir weapons or items with his help.

”This furnace can be utilized to forge higher star pills.” Grey nodded.

He had gained plenty from here, especially a herb garden like this.

That said, he flew down from the mountain and arrived next to the herb garden.

All the herbs here were precisely the ones needed to create the Azure Vitality Pill.

They all gave off dense powerful energy.

To a 2nd ranker, this would be no less than a treasure trove.

Beside every plot of land was a huge bronze chest that seemed to be made out of wood. Grey swiftly opened it, and inside, there were a lot of spatial rings in each of them.

Inspecting them, Grey saw herbs that matched the ones that were growing in the plot of garden.

Without hesitation, he transferred all of them into the spatial ring.

”Alright, it’s time to explore the other parts of the inheritance ground.”

Grey would come back here to inspect this place further once he was done exploring the other places. Time was short, and he didn’t know how long the other sides of the inheritance ground would take to explore.

So, the best approach was to come back later and see if he could arrange something about this place, like taking it with him.

The array here was extremely powerful, to the point the herbs were continuously being nourished by it, and the development time was definitely something not even advanced technology could match.

He had to use this, or maybe even comprehend the array, but comprehension of it might take several months as it had spatial laws, and he didn’t know what rank this array was.

With that matter settled, Grey left the space. Immediately, he was back at the lotus petal where he was teleported out from.

Now, it was time to explore the next one. Flying over the second one, Grey swiftly descended down, the patterns in the lotus petal platform lit up, and immediately Grey was teleported out once more.

His vision blurred, and before he knew it, he was standing in a different place.

In a long stretched path to be exact.

Following that, pink light emerged and lit up the space.

”This is...?” Grey looked around curiously.

He first saw a pagoda in the distance. This path was precisely connected to it, and beside him were statues, old worn down statues of what appeared to be powerful evolvers wearing some special armor, and right below their statues, worn out ancient letters could be the names of the people these statues were made in memory of.

They all held a spear in their hands, looking extremely domineering and powerful, and directly in the elixir field part of them, there were cores.

”Does the cores near their elixir field suggest that they were 3rd rank experts?” Grey was thoughtful.

If 2nd rank was transformation, 3rd was liberation. You condensed all your powers into a core, and everything about you would be inputted into that core.

From there, you would become extremely hard to kill, even chopping your head off would not be able to kill you because as long as you had your core, you simply regenerated.

Each level and stage of evolution had a massive gap, like a huge abyss between two continents, and it became more apparent once one reached 2nd rank. Climbing each level would make you unimaginably more powerful.

To the point, a peak 2nd ranker was titled a ”Catastrophic disaster ranked being”.

They could easily destroy cities if they wanted to.

For the statues, he didn’t know if they were fourth rank or third. He had no information on the fourth rank or how to even achieve fourth rank, but it was definitely certain that these statues that were once real people were within the ranks of 3rd rank.

”Was there even this many 3rd rankers during the awakening of Blue Star?” Grey was confused.

At that time, only a handful of people could become evolvers, and only through the three great paths.

Just from counting, there were more than fifty of these status here with the same cores near their elixir fields.

Considering the age of this secret realm, it was quite confusing indeed.

”And that four-star furnace. I was indeed right, there actually used to exist fourth rank beings back then.” Grey mumbled.

He felt like some things didn’t add up, like why was the information related to the old experts hidden away from the public?

It was clear that this inheritance ground was made by a fourth rank expert.

Of course, there was only one way to find out, and that was by exploring this place.

Grey waited no further. He took a step forward and strode towards the pagoda.
