Baring fangs was one thing, being able to swallow the prey was another.

Feigning weakness as usual, Yu Zi Yu lured out the hidden observer lurking in the darkness, exactly as he had intended.

Smirking to himself, Yu Zi Yu channeled his Spiritual Energy, pushing his Immortal Tree Form to recover as swiftly as possible.

Although he had pretended to be weak, his True Body, the Immortal Tree, was indeed cycling through destruction and rebirth, depleting his energy a little.

But ultimately, this was the Immortal Tree. So long as its Spiritual Energy had not depleted, it could not be destroyed, and its life was inextinguishable.

What seemed like grave injuries to others were nothing more than minor wounds to him, wounds that could heal in mere breaths.

At that moment, as the Immortal Tree flourished with life, the Nether God curled his lips into a cold smile.

Then, taking another step, he lunged toward Yu Zi Yu’s Immortal Tree.

Simultaneously, his eerie voice echoed through the starry void, “Heh heh, if you surrender now, I guarantee that your Soul will remain intact…”

“Ensure my Soul remains intact?” A chuckle escaped Yu Zi Yu as he repeated the words, his tone tinged with amusement rather than fury.

Even he was astonished by the arrogance of this unknown powerhouse.

[Did this fool truly think that I’m a pushover? More importantly…Where did he get the audacity? Is it because of the Imperial Artifact his wearing that is emboldening him?]

His eyes narrowed slightly as his gaze landed on the black armor that adorned this figure.

Low-Tier Imperial Artifact: Netherworld Divine Armor
Appearance: Fearsome and menacing as a malevolent ghost, Wandering Souls wreathed around it. Wherever it passes, a ghastly aura fills the air, and demonic energy rages.

Innate Ability:

Devourer — As a Demonic Imperial Artifact, it devours not only flesh but also Souls, including its wielder’s.

Unique Abilities:

Blood-thirsty — The more its wielder fights, the more frenzied it becomes, continuously enhancing its wielder’s power. However, it requires an immense amount of blood and flesh to evolve. If the essence is insufficient, it will consume its wielder’s own flesh.

Netherworld Demonic Armor — A divine armor, that is also a demonic armor. When it switches into a demonic armor, it amplifies its wielder power exponentially. However, it also corrupts its wielder’s mind, blurring their consciousness.

Nether Physique — Legend has it that the first Netherborn, endowed with the Netherworld Divine Physique, forged this Imperial Artifact from his own body. As a result, its wielder possesses unparalleled defense and an ominous, demonic aura.

Demonic Spirit Revival — After the armor has consumed enough flesh and blood, the slumbering Demonic Spirit within the Imperial Artifact awakens, ultimately seizing control of the wielder. At that point, the wielder ceases to exist as himself.

Innate Divine Ability:

Demonic Spirit Rebirth — The armor is nearly indestructible, no force can destroy it. Even if severely damaged, it will revive on a Netherborn, once again growing into the Netherworld Divine Armor.

As Yu Zi Yu read through the Netherworld Divine Armor’s status screen, his eyes flickered with intrigue.

[As expected, it’s truly worthy of being an Imperial Artifact. Its power is beyond question. However, as a Demonic Imperial Artifact, it’s equally terrifying. A single misstep, and even its wielder will be devoured. No wonder…]

Yu Zi Yu detected a hint of urgency on the face of this Netherborn Overlord.

[Clearly, even he is struggling to fully control this Artifact. So, if the battle drags on, he will likely be the first to fall into danger.]

Yu Zi Yu could not help but let out a cold snicker. He silently thanked his luck for the fact that his Imperial Artifact, Sixteen Holy Wings, was vastly superior.

Not only did it treat him as both Master and friend, but it also actively protected him.

Compared to this Demonic Imperial Artifact, its superiority was immeasurable.

[No wonder the Sixteen Holy Wings harbored deep disdain for the slumbering Demonic Spirit within that armor.]

‘That thing is nothing but a lunatic—a mindless butcher who only knows slaughter…’ Recalling Sixteen Holy Wings’ warning, Yu Zi Yu understood that his greatest threat was not the wielder—but rather the Demonic Spirit slumbering within the Netherworld Divine Armor.

It was an Artifact Spirit, just like the Holy Sixteen Wings’ True Spirit, but driven mad by Demonic corruption, it possessed no true intelligence.

Nonetheless, its raw power was undeniably monstrous.

And such an unhinged, mindless being, capable of mass destruction without consequence, posed a grave danger to the Demon Court.

After all, Yu Zi Yu’s current tribulation site was still within the Demon Court’s territory.

A realization dawned upon Yu Zi Yu. “I must suppress this guy as soon as possible to prevent the Demonic Spirit from awakening…”

With that thought, Yu Zi Yu did not hesitate any longer.

“Kill!” With a thunderous roar, Yu Zi Yu’s Immortal Tree Form suddenly trembled violently, scattering countless leaves that transformed into a storm of leaves, blowing  toward the Nether God.

The terrifying storm of leaves rapidly expanded, ravaging across hundreds of thousands of kilometers, swallowing even Nether God in an instant.

However, just moments later…

*Booooom…* A massive explosion erupted as countless streams of black energy burst forth from within the storm.

Then, a figure clad in demonic armor emerged, gripping the storm with both hands and tearing it apart with brute force.

“You think this can stop me?” With a burst of triumphant laughter, the armored figure stepped out of the colossal storm.

Right at that moment…

“Of course not.” Yu Zi Yu’s calm voice responded indifferently, unfazed by the fact that Nether God had shattered his first move.

Simply because, this was merely the beginning.

Or rather, it was a mere diversion to mislead the Nether God.

In terms of pure destructive power, his Immortal Tree Form was not even ranked among his five Divine Forms.

It was because…

*Crackle…* A deafening thunderclap suddenly reverberated, shaking the entire starry voice.

Then, under the horrified gazes of countless spectators, the boundless Tribulation Clouds gathered high above suddenly unleashed a pillar of lightning.

With a deafening roar, the lightning pillar came crashing down.

However, what shocked everyone was that this Tribulation Lightning was not targeting Yu Zi Yu’s five Divine Forms.

Instead, it was striking the Nether God, who had just broken free from the storm of leaves.

“What…!?” Momentarily stunned, the Nether God was flabbergasted.

Even he had not expected the Tribulation Lightning to strike him instead.

And in the next instant…

*Boooom…* The vast pillar of lightning engulfed the Nether God.

“Aaaahhh…!” A sudden, agonized scream echoed through the starry void, leaving countless powerful beings dumbfounded.

The Nether God, even when wielding an Imperial Artifact, had fallen leeward once again.

It was simply absurd.

However, as they looked at the Nether God writhing in agony under the lightning pillar, then turned to the five Divine Trees standing motionless beneath the Tribulation Lightning, many experts fell silent.

Everyone couldn’t believe their eyes. [Is it an illusion or does it seem that the Nether God truly has no way to deal with the Supreme Lord of the Demon Court?]
