*Booooom…* A thunderous clap shook the very fabric of the cosmos.

And in Yu Zi Yu’s expectant gaze, a colossal yet intricate and enigmatic Phantom Tree emerged within the starry expanse.

Its branches were adorned with complex patterns, covered in layer upon layer of Dao Marks, symbolizing Life itself.

A single glance at it evoked an indescribable depth.

And this was the Kabbalah Tree of Life—A tree symbolizing the evolution and rebirth, the most profound and mysterious of all Divine Trees.

Even Yu Zi Yu himself could not fully comprehend the Dao Marks etched upon it.

He only vaguely understood that any Lifeform that drew near would experience accelerated evolution, ascending toward a higher state of existence.

The closer one approached, the faster the transformation.

And should one consume the Fruit of Life birthed by this Divine Tree, their inherent flaws and limitations would be mended.

Some might even directly evolve into a superior Lifeform.

For instance, a Two-winged Angel could ascend to a Four-winged Angel; a Three-tailed Spirit Fox might awaken their fourth tail.

To a certain extent, this Divine Tree represented the very origin of life itself: From nothingness to existence, from existence to higher realms…

Of course, forming these Fruits of Life, capable of guiding evolution, was no simple feat.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu could only produce three.

1,000 years to bloom, another 1,000 years to bear fruit, and another 1,000 years to recuperate, a cycle spanning across 3,000 years.

And this was yet another strategic resource that Yu Zi Yu had to treasure.

If used wisely, it could very well give rise to formidable powerhouses.

*Hahaha…* Yu Zi Yu laughed heartily to himself, lifting his gaze toward the four Divine Trees towering over the vast starry expanse.

And including his true body, the Immortal Tree, five Divine Trees now stood tall in the vast cosmos, seemingly propping up the very fabric of the stars.

*Hoooo…* Yu Zi Yu took a deep breath, and along with him, the five Divine Trees too began breathing in harmony.

And as they breathed in and out, they began absorbing Spiritual Energy, their leaves moving along the flow.

Within moments, five torrential whirlpools of Spiritual Energy had taken form.

Adding more to the terror, these whirlpools were expanding at a speed visible to the naked eye.

…

Having spent decades in seclusion, Yu Zi Yu’s Five Divine Trees now required nourishment.

And now, standing beneath the vast Starry Sky, they could devour Spiritual Energy without restraint.

*Rumble… Rumble…* Erupting with increasingly terrifying roars, the five whirlpools had already spanned across hundreds of thousands of meters.

What was even more astonishing was that the five Divine Trees were growing at an incredible rate.

100,000 meters…

200,000 meters …

300,000 meters …

As they grew bigger, their auras became ever more awe-inspiring.

However, just then, seemingly sensing something, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes happened to narrow slightly.

For at this moment, he had detected the presence of powerful beings approaching.

Among them, there were several unfamiliar auras that stood out.

“Death and darkness… This should be the Netherborns that Nine Tails mentioned, huh?” Yu Zi Yu murmured to himself, and put his guard up.

Right now, while he may be powerful enough to drive others into despair, at the end of the day, he was in the midst of a breakthrough.

In such a moment, even he was at his most vulnerable.

There was no telling whether someone harbored ill intent.

Setting everything else aside, just a single one of the Five Divine Trees Yu Zi Yu had forged could serve as the legacy of an entire race.

So, certainly, those Tier-6 Overlords would be tempted.

However, temptation was one thing. Whether they could withstand the wrath of Yu Zi Yu and even the Demon Court was another matter entirely.

This was a crucial decision, not just for the Elemental Clan, Angel Clan, and even the Divine Titan Clan.

A single rash decision could lead to the annihilation of their entire race.

Of course, if they managed to severely wound Yu Zi Yu and seize one or more of his Divine Trees, that would be a monumental fortune.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly as he heightened his vigilance.

And this could very well be considered as the ‘Human’ Tribulation encountered during breakthroughs.

The Tribulation was divided into three stages: Heaven, Earth, and Human.

The Heavenly Tribulation needed no explanation.

The Earthly Tribulation involved getting burned by the Earth Fire, a kind of Divine Fire that could reduce everything to ashes.

And finally, the Human Tribulation was a man-made ordeal, where foes sought to drive one into a certain death situation.

Most of the time, this Human Tribulation came in the form of old enemies or those blinded by greed, just like now.

*Hmph…* Yu Zi Yu coldly snorted in his mind.

He was unafraid.

His trump cards were far too many.

A few mere Early or Intermediate-Stage Tier-6s were not worth his concern.

However, even he had not expected that, on the fringes of the Milky Way Galaxy…

“So the Lord of the Demon Court… truly is a Divine Tree…” A voice, trembling with ecstatic delight, echoed through the starry expanse.

The source of the voice was a figure shrouded in a murky black-gray mist, who appeared to be pretty excited.

This was the ruler of the Netherborns—the Nether God.

And beside him were two other Overlords: The Nether Dragon King, another mighty figure of the Netherborns, and the Ghost Emperor, an Overlord belonging to the Ghost Clan.

At this moment, the trio, tracking the aura of the Heaven and Earth Divine Tree, had arrived in secret.

“And it’s not just an ordinary Divine Tree… This bastard has condensed Five Divine Forms! He’s attempting an even greater breakthrough…!” The Ghost Emperor sounded astonished, his facial expression unable to hide his overwhelming greed.

[If I can get my hands on just one of these five Divine Forms… I might just ascend to the Realm of Hegemony in an instant! Damn it…!] This temptation was simply too sweet, so sweet that even he was struggling to restrain himself.

And just then, noticing Ghost Emperor’s impatience, the nearby Nether Dragon King waved his claw, and stated in a calm voice, “Don’t be hasty…Let’s wait until he is undergoing the actual Tribulation. Then we strike.”

Saying this, the Nether Dragon King turned to Nether God, and asked with caution, “I’ve heard the Demon Court is terrifying. Are you sure about this?”

“Yes.” A grin spread across Nether God’s lips as he nodded decisively, and flicked his right hand.

The next moment…

*Booooom…* With a deafening roar, a sinister suit of armor, gleaming with eerie ghostly glow, emerged behind him. The suit of armor resembled no different than a vicious wraith.

This was the Netherborns’s Imperial Artifact—Netherworld Divine Armor.

Although it was merely a Low-Grade Imperial Artifact, it had been excellently preserved.

Donning this armor, his power could soar exponentially. And this was his greatest confidence in coming here.

Of course, he was likely not the last.

[I’m sure there are other powerful beings who have brought their own Imperial Artifacts. However, I wonder how many of them would actually dare to make a move. From what I gather, the Titan Clan, Angel Clan, and most of the others fear the Demon Court. There’s even a chance that they might intervene, not to oppose the Demon Court, but to stand against me instead.]

*Hmph…* A cold snort escaped Nether God’s lips as he muttered in a cold voice, “You’d best not stand in our way. If you dare ruin our chance to attain the Dao… we guarantee that we’ll fight to the death.”
