*Booooooom…* A sudden, deafening rumble echoed across the starry sky.

Looking towards the source of the sound, a blood-red starship could be seen plunging straight into the depths of space.

This was none other than the starship of a rising prodigy of the Blood Demon Clan—Bosun. However, at this moment, Bosun, who was sitting high on the command deck, happened to have his expression turn a bit grim, as if he had run into some trouble.

“This place feels strange…” muttering softly, Bosun stared at the ship’s indicator panel with a serious gaze.

On the panel, a yellow alert kept flashing. Meanwhile, on the distant display screen, the images had become distorted and blurry.

This was all because they had ventured into an unfamiliar star system.

Unlike the previous star system they had explored, this one was bizarre and otherworldly.

Lifting his gaze to the display screen, Bosun could even see wisps of an unknown gas flowing through space.

“This gas…” Speaking in a tone of surprise, Bosun suddenly seemed to realize something. A flicker of wild joy swept across his face.

“I found it! I found it!” Bursting into sudden laughter, Bosun, without a second thought, reached for the red button on the starship’s control panel.

This button was reserved exclusively for the highest-ranking commander of the starship. It was also the sole device capable of immediately contacting headquarters and transmitting the starship’s coordinates.

Bosun pressed it because he had a vague sense of the significance of this place.

*Haaaaa…* Bosun took a long, deep breath, as a sense of nervousness washed over him.

This button was not to be pressed lightly. Activating it would alarm not only the entire Blood Demon Clan but also the Demons and Fiends Society behind them.

If it turned out to be a false lead, Bosun would face the most severe military punishment.

Nonetheless, he had no regrets. If this place was truly what the Blood Demon Clan and the Demons and Fiends Society had been seeking all this time, then Bosun would ascend to unimaginable heights.

“It must be it, it must be…” Amid his excitement, Bosun’s expression suddenly changed.

At that moment, the entire starship began to spin uncontrollably. Then, in the blink of an eye—

*Boooooom…* A deafening explosion reverberated in silence. Bosun felt a sharp pain in his head before his consciousness began to fade.

Faintly, he caught sight of two wisps of gas—one black and one white—flowing through the starry void.

…

At the moment Bosun pressed the red button, back on the Blood Demon Planet—

*Beep, beep, beep…* An abrupt alarm started ringing, echoing through the depths of the Blood Demon Clan’s headquarters.

Immediately—

*Swish, swish, swish…* Accompanied by the sound of something cutting through the air, countless blood-red figures streaked across the sky.

“What happened?”

“Why is the highest alert sounding? Don’t tell me someone accidentally triggered the starship’s red button again?”

“It shouldn’t be possible. The last person who accidentally pressed that button was executed by extreme measures. Now, most high-ranking officials fear that red button like the plague… How could someone possibly press it intentionally?”

…

One voice after another joined the chatter, and the depths of the Blood Demon Clan erupted into an uproar.

Following the noise, one could see countless figures clad in military uniforms. They exuded a fierce and menacing aura, resembling an army of hardened soldiers as they gathered.

At the highest point of the grand hall, a White Tiger lay silently atop a throne. Its eyes were half-closed, as if caught between slumber and wakefulness.

This was none other than the ‘Storm Monarch’, a Monarch from the Demons and Fiends Society. A mercurial and terrifying presence, he currently presided over the Hall of Seven Reapers.

However, at that moment, as if sensing something, White Tiger’s brow furrowed slightly.

He despised being disturbed during his midday rest—especially by such a commotion.

*Hmph…* A soft snort, like a crack of thunder, suddenly echoed through the grand hall.

In an instant, the uproar came to a halt, and the hall fell into deathly silence. Not a single one of the high-ranking members of the Blood Demon Clan dared even breathe loudly.

Some even felt chills creeping up their spines.

Such was the terrifying aura of the Storm Monarch—overwhelming and suffocating.

“What’s got you so rattled that you’re making all this noise?” With a slight frown, White Tiger glanced at the gathered officials and asked.

*Haaaaa…* Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, one of the Blood Demon Clan members stepped forward and answered directly, “Your Majesty, just moments ago, someone activated the red button on their starship…”

Pausing briefly, the clan member continued, “And shortly after pressing it, the starship’s signal disappeared entirely.”

“Disappeared?” White Tiger’s tone shifted as he adjusted his posture.

“Yes, it’s disappeared,” the official confirmed. “As of now, based on its last known coordinates, we can only determine that the starship vanished near the Vereen System, which we explored previously…”

“I see…” murmuring softly, White Tiger’s expression grew serious.

They had been exploring relentlessly. Every lead, no matter how faint, was worth pursuing.

As such… even the slightest chance demanded his attention.

After all, they had searched for far too long.

“Let’s go. We’ll confirm it ourselves.”

With those words, White Tiger turned to another official and ordered, “Notify the other Monarchs and summon them here.”

“Yes, Storm Monarch.” With this command, the Blood Demon Clan sprang into action like a well-oiled machine.

…

Moments later—

*Booooooom…* A deafening roar echoed as a streak of white light shot skyward.

Wings unfurled, generating a tempest spanning tens of thousands of meters, White Tiger launched into the depths of space at an astonishing speed. Behind him, one blood-red starship after another rose into the sky.

This was the true reason why the red button could not be pressed lightly.

Every activation of that button inevitably sparked a storm in response.
