Time passed slowly, and in the blink of an eye, half a month had gone by.

On this particular day…

“The fruit should be about ripe by now…” A faint smile crossed Yu Zi Yu’s face, his expression tinged with anticipation.

For him, the Blood Demon Fruit held considerable promise. If it met his expectations, he’d have all the more reason to set larger plans in motion.

But for now, it was time to test the results.

With these thoughts, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted to the deepest part of the Nine Realms.

There stood a strange tree, its bark a mottled mix of gray and green, its texture rough, resembling Dragon Scales.

The Tree of Miracles, that was what it called itself. However, most referred to it as the Demonic Tree of the Cursed Tree.

The reason? Its power was overwhelmingly sinister and terrifying.

…

At this moment, within Yu Zi Yu’s focused gaze, a red fruit growing on the twisted branches of the strange tree appeared.

This fruit was peculiar. Red as blood, yet shaped like a skull, it looked eerily strange.

Even when separated by such a huge distance, a faint fragrance still drifted towards Yu Zi Yu.

“So this is the Blood Demon Fruit…” Yu Zi Yu’s voice laced with curiosity echoed as countless roots surged up from the ground. They intertwined, gradually weaving together into the shape of a humanoid figure.

With his Void Elf Form unavailable, Yu Zi Yu had no choice but to rely on this ‘primitive method.’

The form of the Purple Dragon was far too massive and had to be scaled down. In comparison, a Humanoid form woven from roots was far more convenient.

…

At that moment…

Yu Zi Yu raised his hand, cradling the fruit.

The fruit was not very large, just about the size of a pineapple. Its color was vivid and translucent. Were it not shaped like a skull, it might even look adorable.

Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly as he examined the information about the Blood Demon Fruit.

Blood Demon Fruit — A product of the Tree of Miracles, containing unfathomable power.
Ability: Blood Demon Physique — Allows any being to transform into a member of the Blood Demon Clan, granting them the Blood Demon Clan’s Innate Talents and abilities. Furthermore, they can freely revert to their original form at will.

However, this is not the truly frightening part.

What is truly frightening is that, once the fruit’s full potential is unlocked, its consumer could trace their lineage back to the Blood Demon Clan’s very origin, becoming a true member. The transformation would be so seamless that even the greatest mystics of the Blood Demon Clan would be unable to detect it.

Studying the fruit, Yu Zi Yu could not help but marvel at its fearsome properties. Or, to be precise, the fearsome nature of the Tree of Miracles.

This tree was, indeed, worthy of being called a Demonic Tree. It could flawlessly steal the power of all races. Although it could only produce a single fruit per race, its harrowing nature was undeniable.

If…If Yu Zi Yu were to encounter a formidable race, it would mean that even one of his followers could possess that race’s powers.

This power of appropriation was truly frightening. Fortunately, this power was firmly under Yu Zi Yu’s control.

Now, the Tree of Miracles—also known as the Cursed Tree—had taken root in the deepest part of the Nine Realms. Unless the Nine Realms were to be destroyed, no one would be able to find this Demonic Tree. While Yu Zi Yu could use its power to secretly the abilities of other races.

Moreover, if a subordinate who had consumed this fruit were to die, it would not mean the fruit’s power was lost.

On the contrary, whatever insights that subordinate gained and a portion of their power would, through a mysterious link, return to the Tree of Miracles.

This was, perhaps, the way the Tree of Miracles grew. It thrived by absorbing the growth of those who consumed its fruit.

Thus, it would be more accurate to call this the Cursed Fruit rather than a miracle. Because once one consumed this fruit, the Tree of Miracles had already ‘set its greedy gaze upon the consumer.’

Of course, now it was not the Tree of Miracles hunting but Yu Zi Yu—a far more terrifying predator. Using the Tree of Miracles as disguise, Yu Zi Yu quietly cast his gaze upon the myriad races.

With a smile, Yu Zi Yu waved his hand towards the distance.

*Thud… thud… thud…* Immediately, heavy footsteps filled the air as a towering Treant, over ten meters tall, approached Yu Zi Yu.

This was the Realm of Mist, known as the Tree Realm, inhabited by Treants. And the Tree of Miracles was rooted in the heart of the Tree Realm.

As such, even the likes of Bull Demon and White Tiger were unaware of its presence.

The entire Tree Realm was within Yu Zi Yu’s firm grasp. Apart from the Ruler of the Tree Realm—Thorns, no one knew that the Nine Realms’ deepest secret was hidden here.

Currently, if one swept a glance across the Tree Realm, they would see hundreds of thousands of Treants rooted in various corners of the Tree Realm.

Used to being rooted in the earth, the Treants did not care much for leisure or chatter.

For them, cultivation was the most captivating pursuit.

And so, as far as the eye could see, Spiritual Energy storms could be seen gathering across the Tree Realm.

In just five years, over two thousand Tier-4 Treants had emerged within the Tree Realm. Such numbers hinted at the dreadful power concealed within this hidden realm.

But that was not all…

Without even including the Tier-5 Dragonblood Treant, the nine Tier-5 Jianmu Treants alone carried strength comparable to half of the Demon Court, or even the current Society of Fiends and Demons, in terms of peak combat force.

*Zeze…* Yu Zi Yu could not help but smile to himself, feeling ever more satisfied with the race he had personally created.

And now, he was about to grant this race an even more terrifying power.

“Don’t disappoint me…” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu handed the Blood Demon Fruit to the Tier-4 Treant who had approached him.

“Eat it.”

“Yes, Tree Ancestor…” With a low, unwavering response, the Treant tossed the fruit into its mouth without a shred of hesitation.

This was the nature of the Treants. They were unwaveringly loyal to him, so much so that Yu Zi Yu felt comfortable entrusting his back to them.

In the entire Demon Court, only a selected few possessed such loyalty. And this explained why Yu Zi Yu placed so much emphasis on nurturing the Treant Clan.
