Time flies like an arrow. In the blink of an eye, three days had passed.

In these three days, Bull Demon and Nine Tails had returned from the Forbidden Zone–White Dragon’s Lair.

When everyone raised their heads, they were surprised by the sight in the sky.

A boundless sea of flames appeared at the horizon, surrounding a gigantic Flame Fox. And atop this gigantic Flame Fox lay a lifeless, dozens of meters, long White Flood Dragon.

“Master!” Nine Tails called out as she emerged from the gigantic Flame Fox and rapidly descended, galloping in the air.

Along the way, every time she stepped on the air, a burst of flame swept through the sky, lighting up the sky like fireworks.

“En.” Nodding slightly, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze fell upon the White Flood Dragon’s carcass carried by Nine Tails’ Fire-Attribute Spiritual Energy.

It looked extremely ferocious. It bore no resemblance to Little White, one of the Guardians of Misty Mountains.

Its long and sharp fangs protruded along its mouth, and rows of spikes ran along its spine. At a glance, it appeared cruel and vicious.

Although this White Flood Dragon had long been dead, the chilling aura emanating from its carcass still made many Mutant Beasts in Misty Mountains feel uneasy.

“So, this is the White Flood Dragon of White Dragon’s Lair…” In rare admiration, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes flickered with brilliant splendor, looking at the White Flood Dragon.

At the moment, he was in need of such powerful creatures. After all, he possessed the Innate Talent–Absolute Evolution. If he could fully understand this creature, he might even be able to replicate its former strength.

“Yes, Master,” replying in a deep and resonant voice, Bull Demon, who had also arrived beside Yu Zi Yu, set down his giant axe and added with laughter, “Master, it took quite a lot of effort to deal with this Evil Flood Dragon. Even Eldest Sister and Elder Sister had to intervene at the last minute, otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to kill it.”

At this point, Bull Demon reached behind and grabbed the White Flood Dragon with one hand.

*Boom…* Suddenly, a purple vortex materialized beneath the carcass of the one-hundred-meters-long ferocious Flood Dragon’s carcass, before it flew towards Yu Zi Yu.

“Master, this is a gift Eldest Sister has prepared for you.”

“A gift…” Murmuring, a wry smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s lips.

[Qing Er, this girl, really… She hadn’t even returned yet, but she has already prepared a gift. If my guess is right, she is probably preparing an even bigger surprise for me.]

Of course, Yu Zi Yu was also quite satisfied with the carcass of the White Flood Dragon. As a matter of fact, every Tier-3 Mutant Beast had its own unique qualities. Moreover, this particular Mutant Beast belonged to the Dragon Clan. Defeating it alone would be a formidable challenge, let alone slaying it.

Such a powerful creature was now coldly lying in front of Yu Zi Yu. One could imagine how precious this gift was.

Even the entire Human Race would be unable to produce such a generous gift.

Even Yu Zi Yu doubted whether China, without the intervention of Nine Tails and Bull Demon, could slay this Flood Dragon.

However, just then, as if noticing something surprising, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed, staring at a bucket-size hole in the chest of the Flood Dragon.

This hole was right where the Dragon’s Heart should have been. In other words, the White Flood Dragon’s carcass was missing its heart.

“Master.” As if sensing Yu Zi Yu’s doubts, Nine Tails beside him took the initiative to explain, “Sister Qing Er took the Flood Dragon’s heart. According to her, while the Dragon’s Heart is valuable, it wouldn’t be of much use to you. It’s better to take that Dragon’s Heart and exchange it with China for something bigger.”

At this point, a smile tugged the corner of Nine Tails’ mouth. “Apparently, China is in a great need for the Dragon’s Heart, to the point that they are willing to pay any price.”

“I see…” Murmuring, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes couldn’t help but flicker.

He didn’t really care about its heart. After all, such things were truly unnecessary for him.

However, Yu Zi Yu was somewhat concerned about China’s determination to pay any price.

[If I’ve to guess, the Dragon’s Heart must be very valuable to some big shot in China.] Thinking of this, a playful expression appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face. After all, he knew that Qing Er was not one to suffer losses.

If China truly needed the Dragon’s Heart, they would have to pay a hefty price to obtain it.

He reckoned that the ‘hefty price’ China would pay might be the gift Qing Er intended to prepare for him.

“This is more in line with Qing Er’s style.” A chuckle escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips as he became a bit more certain of his speculation.

Although it had been a long time since he had seen Qing Er, as his most trusted confidant, he had an extraordinary understanding of Qing Er. [Qing Er truly lives up to the nickname Empress!]

…

While Nine Tails and Bull Demon were recounting the events of White Dragon’s Lair to Yu Zi Yu, Nine Tails suddenly narrowed her eyes as if sensing something.

In her gaze, a figure slowly emerged from behind Yu Zi Yu’s enormous body.

It was a Mantis, but this Mantis stood tall as an average Human, and its entire body was deep purple in color. Its pair of scythe-like arms shimmered with a menacing purple sheen, sending chills down the onlookers spine.

“Who is that?” Voicing her suspicion, Nine Tails looked at Yu Zi Yu.

The fact that it had appeared around Yu Zi Yu, Nine Tails knew that it was not an enemy. Moreover, Nine Tails could faintly sense a familiar aura from it.

“This is Zi Lian.” Yu Zi Yu replied with a smile, before explaining, “Not long ago, Green Mantis underwent metamorphosis, turning into the Zi Lian of today.”

“So that’s how it is.” Nodding, Nine Tails also greeted Zi Lian.

She didn’t know much about Green Mantis, or rather, the entire Misty Mountains knew little about this shadow assassin.

Only Little Fifth, Golden Ant, and Snow Leopard, who were also shadow assassins, were acquainted with Green Mantis.

“Erm… is this really the same Green Mantis as before?”  With doubts in their hearts, Nine Tails and Bull Demon exchanged glances.

Unlike his insignificant role in the past, they could feel a hint of threat from the current Zi Lian.

His cold and emotionless purple eyes gave off a terrifying pressure. And coupled with his menacing scythe-like arms, that would flex upward every now and then, cutting through space, he appeared particularly ferocious.

And adding more to his dread, his body seemed to appear and disappear unpredictably, as if he would vanish the next second.

And this was the current Zi Lian.

Compared to three days ago, not only had he grown from the size of a palm to the height of an average human, but more terrifyingly, he had also adapted to his current body, increasing his combat power by several times over.

Even Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but be astonished by his terrifying growth.
