Brewmaster was appointed as the Chief Blacksmith of Misty Mountains, tasked with crafting equipment and weapons for the entire Misty Mountains’ elite.

There was no denying that this was a massive undertaking. However, as he looked at the excited Brewmaster, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but smile. “This should be a piece of cake for Old Ninth.”

After all, Brewmaster had also reached Tier-3. His strength was not just unfathomable, ordinary people couldn’t even imagine it.

For forging equipment, such strength was like adding wings to a tiger. Moreover, Brewmaster generally had nothing to do, so this arrangement was good for him.

At least Yu Zi Yu didn’t want to see him sitting on his branch, doing nothing but leisurely drinking Spirit Wine.

With a smile, Yu Zi Yu also began considering what to do with other Great Beasts, including the Left and Right Guardians.

Bull Demon, White Tiger, Sarcosuchus, and Brewmaster, they all had received their respective assignments.

As for Nine Tails, she had already gotten used to Yu Zi Yu’s presence and depended on his Tree Body to cultivate. So, he couldn’t assign her any assignments.

As for Golden Ant, he was going to be traveling to other continents.

As for the other Great Beasts, they were more or less immature and couldn’t be entrusted with important tasks.

Just then, as if remembering something, Yu Zi Yu focused his gaze towards the girl sitting not far away on a branch, dangling her beautiful feet.

Thorns—the Sixth Great Beast—was a very strange life form. She was both Human and Plant. In a sense, she was a Plant Hybrid. However, she happened to be clever and could be entrusted with important tasks.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu ordered, “Thorns, you are entrusted with overseeing the second Human City within Misty Mountains.”

“Second city!?” Thorns was perplexed by this revelation.

Murmuring, Thorns seemed puzzled.

At this moment, Qing Gang’s voice rang in Thorns’s ears, “Other than Crescent Moon City, we also occupy another decent city, Smoghaven.”

Smoghaven was a medium-sized city in China. It got the name Smoghaven because of the hazy purple smog shrouding it for a long time.

However, after occupying it, all the powerful beasts of Misty Mountains discovered that the purple smoke in Smoghaven could accelerate biological evolution to a certain extent.

It was an amazing asset. As such, guarding Smoghaven was of utmost importance.

Previously, Yu Zi Yu had entrusted Smoghaven to Qing Gang. However, Crescent Moon and Smoghaven were far apart—one was in the south of Misty Mountains, and the other was in the southeast, So no matter how much Qing Gang wanted to look after it, it posed quite a bit of challenge to look after both cities.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu had to make separate arrangements for Smoghaven.

At this moment, listening to Qing Gang’s explanation, Thorns slightly nodded and accepted the directive, “Thorns will obey whatever Master orders.”

“Great.” Nodding his acknowledgement, Yu Zi Yu breathed a sigh of relief.

In order to oversee a city and make countless Humans sincerely accept them and their rule, Qing Gang and Thorns, who resembled Humans, were the best choice. After all, the people of different races or ethnicities could not easily trust each other.

And Humans had a natural aversion towards other races.

Of course, they wouldn’t know that the Human-looking Qing Gang and Thorns were no longer true Humans.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

In the future, if Humans of Crescent Moon and Smoghaven were to find out that their Mayors were not Human, it might cause quite a stir.

But by then, things would have already settled, and it should not cause any major disturbances.

…

After some unknown period of time…

*Haaa…* Yu Zi Yu breathed out a long, deep breath, after assigning the appropriate public and secret duties to Great Beasts, Guardians, and Elemental Commanders for the time being.

He had also instructed Spirit Butterfly and Nine Tails to help them when necessary.

After this, if they still couldn’t manage Misty Mountains properly, then all the efforts Yu Zi Yu had made to nurture them would be for nothing.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu glanced at Nine Tails and the others and stated in a deep voice, “I’ve already given you all the necessary instructions. Now, everything rest in your hands.”

“Yes, Master.” The Great Beasts and Guardians, who were standing on Yu Zi Yu’s branches, shouted in unison with firm looks on their faces.

In their mind, all they were thinking was, [Master rarely gave so many instructions. If we can’t fulfill them, he would be disappointed. We can’t disappoint Master!]

Just then, as if realizing something, Aurora, who had been silent all the while, suddenly asked, “Divine Tree, you’ve assigned major and minor matters to Nine Tails and the others. What would you be doing?”

“Cultivating!” Yu Zi Yu affirmed with a smile.

“Uh…” Slightly stunned, Aurora was choked by Yu Zi Yu’s words.

[You’re still going to cultivate? You’ve already reached Tier-4! With your unfathomable strength, you can easily dominate the entire world, let alone a continent. And you still want to cultivate!? Are you freaking kidding me!?]

Of course, Aurora didn’t say this out loud. However, feeling the intense mental fluctuations from Aurora, Yu Zi Yu understood.

After a moment, Yu Zi Yu looked towards the night sky and explained, sighing, “Since my breaking through, I haven’t really stabilized my cultivation… If I don’t stabilize my foundation soon, I might face trouble in future breakthroughs.”

With that said, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze also fell on one of his branches, where an enormous dumpling-like thing was hanging in the distance, with countless Willow Branches tied around it.

The thing tied up in countless Willow Branches was a Black Willow Tree. It bore striking resemblance with Yu Zi Yu’s Tree Body, and its vitality was growing stronger day by day.

The Black Willow Tree was none other than the Sea Beast King, who was undergoing a brand-new evolution, initiated based on ‘Yu Zi Yu’ as a template.

However, Yu Zi Yu’s as a Life Form, far exceeded the cognition of the Sea Beast King, so it couldn’t fully complete the transformation for a long time.

At this moment, gazing at the Black Willow Tree, Yu Zi Yu added with a smile, “I have suppressed the evolution of the Black Willow Tree. If nothing unexpected happens, its evolution would continue to be prolonged, again and again. By the time it finishes its evolution, it will be the time when I awaken.”

“Awaken!?” Everyone was a bit puzzled.

“Yes, awaken,” confirming, Yu Zi Yu’s corners of lips curved into a slight grin.

Then, he deeply glanced at the numerous Mutant Beasts, his gaze sweeping across them one by one—Nine Tails, Bull Demon, White Tiger…

“While I stabilize my foundation, all the trivial matters of Misty Mountains will be entrusted to you…” Dropping these words, Yu Zi Yu no longer paid attention to the bewildered gazes of the Mutant Beasts, his consciousness slowly sinking into the depths of his Tree Body.

…

What the Mutant Beasts didn’t know at this moment was that while Yu Zi Yu did say that, the main reason he was entering a secluded cultivation was because of the imminent third round of Spiritual Energy Tide.

To prepare for the upcoming Spiritual Energy Tide, Yu Zi Yu had no choice but to try to spread his roots towards outer space. After all, the Spiritual Energy Tide this time was likely to come from space.

If Yu Zi Yu could perceive it early, he could plan ahead.

At this moment, if anyone paid attention to the depths of the earth, they would surely hear thunderous cracking sounds, akin to a mirror breaking, as black tentacle-like roots shattered the space one after another, slowly spreading towards the dark depths.

The third round of Spiritual Energy Tide was about to rise, and what Yu Zi Yu needed to do was to detect it early.

Moreover, to take the initiative to prepare for the Spiritual Energy Tide before anyone else and concentrate it in Misty Mountains.

If his plan succeeded, Misty Mountains becoming the number one power in the world would be set in stone.

Yu Zi Yu would gain an even deeper foundation thanks to this early contact with the Spiritual Energy Tide. It would help prepare him for his future breakthroughs to Tier-5, 6… or even truly realizing Dao.

However, even Yu Zi Yu himself didn’t know that his slumber would last for several seasons.

During this period, the forces and Forbidden Zones that had been suppressed by Misty Mountains would quietly surface to the world.

At Tian Shan Forbidden Zone, which remained extremely cold round the year, a strange Snow Lotus phenomena appeared.

In the historically mysterious Shennongjia, strange Dragon-shaped phantoms were sighted.

However, this was not all. Even the silent Qin Emperor’s Mausoleum, which had been dormant for thousands of years, echoed with the sound of war drums.

Seclusion in the opening of a prosperous era was inevitably a choice he made. One made by a ruler of his standing. His existence couldn’t prevent the arrival of such a prosperous era. With his current strength, it would not have been difficult for him to lift his head under the pressure of such an era. Regardless, being able to lift his head alone was not enough.

This was another choice made by Yu Zi Yu. He was waiting for, and anticipating, the arrival of a true prosperous era. Only with the advent of this prosperous era could his path to transcendence and achieving Dao truly begin.
