In the blink of an eye, more than half a month had passed.

On this night, in North Canyon at the heart of Misty Mountains…

*Crack* A bolt of lightning streaked through the air, illuminating the pitch-black canyon, revealing an enormous tree reaching into the vast sky.

*Haaaa…* Exhaling a long, deep breath, Yu Zi Yu opened his eyes for the first time after this long period of cultivation.

The lightning streaking around him had already become scarce and dimmer. If it were not for the silver-blue color of his body and the terrifying energy surging deep within him, Yu Zi Yu would have suspected that all of it was a dream.

“How long have I been cultivating?” A faint voice echoed in the night sky, eliciting countless terrifying entities to slowly open their eyes.

“A month and a half,” replying, Nine Tails befittingly appeared before Yu Zi Yu, her gigantic four tails churning the night sky,

In the pitch-black night, Nine Tails’ figure was exuding an extra sense of mystery. Her aura happened to be far more terrifying than before.

Faintly, her cultivation had stabilized at Tier-3.

“En.” Yu Zi Yu nodded, understanding everything.

One month and a half might not have been long, but it was not short either.

For Nine Tails, it was long enough for her to stabilize her cultivation.

As for Yu Zi Yu, it was as short as a nap.

More importantly, he needed to immerse himself in cultivation for an even longer period.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu was a bit excited. The more challenging it was to break through to Tier-4, the more eager and excited he became.

[I guess it’s about time I devour the Lightning Spirit Grass.] Thinking this, Yu Zi Yu focused his gaze toward the center of the Spirit Pond.

There, a blue grass with intermittent electric arcs streaking around it caught his eyes.

The Lightning Spirit Grass was not that tall, just about half a meter tall. Be that as it may, it was the most concentrated agglomeration of the Lightning Element.

Looking at it, almost half of the Spirit Pond was sparkling with lightning because of it.

Not far from the Lightning Spirit Grass was a giant purplish-black egg, seemingly breathing in and out, as black lightning arcs wantonly spread from it.

“Hmmm, this little one is about to be born.” Smiling, Yu Zi Yu flicked one of his branches.

*Whoosh…* Followed by a sound akin to a piece of cloth ripping, the Lightning Spirit Grass split into two. Just half of the Lightning Spirit Grass was enough for Yu Zi Yu.

And the remaining half he had left for the young Wyvern.

Yu Zi Yu’s branch twirled around one half of the Lightning Spirit Grass and put it beside the Wyvern Egg.

At this moment, as if sensing Yu Zi Yu’s intention…

*Roooaar…* A pleasantly surprised Dragon’s roar echoed through the night sky. Although it sounded immature, it carried a considerable majesty. So much so that Mutant Beasts like Nine Tails could not help but glance over.

Dragon’s Prestige was no joke. Even if it was immature, the innate pressure of being born at the top of the food chain still caused many Mutant Beasts to feel their heart tighten.

However, just at that moment…

*Skitter, skitter…* A strange sound suddenly came from a giant tree nearby. Looking toward the source, many Mutant Beasts discovered an emerald-green scorpion, as large as a palm, glaring in the direction of the Wyvern Egg. Its long green-scaled tail, far longer than its body, stood erect, much to their surprise.

“This little one actually dares to challenge the Little Wyvern?” Yu Zi Yu’s voice sounded amused and a bit surprised as well.

Although the Little Scorpion had pretty good Innate Talent, it fell behind the Wyvern in terms of bloodline by a lot. Nonetheless, the Little Scorpion was actually glaring at the Little Wyvern. It was proof in itself of the Little Scorpion’s audacity.

“Well, don’t you see who’s taking care of this Little Scorpion?” With pride, a figure dressed in green slowly emerged from the darkness. On her shoulder was a Five-Color Spirit Flower that seemed to embody all the worldly beauty. Its petals were trembling slightly, just like her voice, giving the impression of triumph.

However, she should be. The fact that she raised this Little Scorpion to this level gave her the capital to be proud.

“You…” Yu Zi Yu smiled, and did not argue on this.  After all, in terms of psychic training, the Five-Color Spirit Flower ranked second to none in the entire Misty Mountains.

It was worth mentioning that Misty Mountains now had four indispensable figures among the Mutant Beasts.

One was Leng Feng, who was skilled in looking after young beasts. He took care of them in every possible way. He had a great hand in the growth of every new generation. The most common examples were Lupin and the King of the Rat Clan, Shadie.

The second was Qing Gang. As the Chief Instructor of Misty Mountains, he had significant experience in training the Mutant Beasts. Even the strongest clan of Misty Mountains, the Chimpanzee Clan was cultivated by him. At present, he was currently residing at Misty Mountains’ Arctic Island, patiently training the Polar Bear Clan.

Presumably, another formidable clan would be born in Misty Mountains very soon.

The third was Bull Demon. Proficient in Gravitational Force, he would construct a Gravity Field as a part of his daily training. In the field, gravity would gradually increase as one moved closer to the center. It was the best training ground for tempering one’s body.

Every Mutant Beast possessed a robust body, and sharp claws and fangs. Thanks to Bull Demon, the physical strength of Mutant Beasts of Misty Mountains was generally 10-20% higher than that of the Mutant Beasts living outside.

Moreover, there were also the Spirit Pond and Spirit Lake, the waters of which were like Spirit Essence, providing significant aid in recovery.

In short, as long as Mutant Beasts trained in Bull Demon’s Gravity Field for an extended period of time and they timely healed their bodies using the Spirit Essence, those Mutant Beasts would definitely possess far greater physical strength.

Some a rowdy bunch even privately organized a ranking, based on who could walk the farthest in Bull Demon’s Gravity Field among those of the same Tier. It was one of the few ranking systems for the new generation of Misty Mountains.

The last figure that could not be ignored was naturally the Five-Color Spirit Flower, Aurora.

Proficient in psychic manipulation, she had unique insight in mental training.

Apart from the six Knights who often sought her help, other Mutant Beasts also more or less troubled Aurora.

—

“Leng Feng, Qing Gang, Bull Demon, Aurora…” muttering, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes flickered incessantly.

Thanks to these four, the starting point for Mutant Beasts of Misty Mountains was considerably higher than that of the ones living in the outside world.

It might not be obvious now, the difference would become evident in the future, when the new generation forces like Little Wyvern and the Little Scorpion had grown up.

Effort does pay off, however, some individuals were born already standing at someone else’s finish line. The young generation of Misty Mountains was like that.

Furthermore, they already possessed impressive Innate Talent from the get-go. As such, they would only grow stronger and stronger with every step.

Yu Zi Yu could already picture each Mutant Beast emerging from Misty Mountains, shaking the world and gaining fame no less than Misty Mountains.

As these thoughts flashed in his mind, Yu Zi Yu felt a bit gratified.

[All these years of nurturing have finally paid off. Now, I no longer need to worry about the growth of the new generation. Thanks to these four, all I have to do is wait, and the new generation will be fully matured one by one.]

Ashish: Will be using Aurora for the Five-Color Spirit Flower as a name. Finding it a bit odd to address her without a name.

Silavin: Do note that this is a name we injected. Not something the original author wrote.
