“Come back… alive!” Simple words, but they weigh slightly on the hearts of every Mutant Beast. No one said anything, but everyone knew what it meant if they did not come back alive.

Either Elder Sister might leave Misty Mountains for them, or perhaps even Divine Tree himself would venture out!

Everyone was crystal clear about it, but the Mutant Beasts had no other choice either. Compared to these mundane peaceful days, their hearts longed for battles.

At this moment, as if sensing something, the enormous tree, with lightning streaking all around it and a canopy deep in the clouds, trembled slightly. Its branches that resembled divine chains of lightning were swaying amid lightning and thunder.

*Crackle, crackle…* Visible to the naked eye, countless blue lightning bolts fell like raindrops.

“Master…” Golden Ant and the other Mutant Beasts gently called out, feeling the inexplicable power surging within their bodies, with their expressions changing slightly.

Given their strength, they could naturally perceive that their Master was using his strength to temper their bodies.

While it was called tempering, it was more like a blessing.

Feeling their Master’s intentions, the gazes of each and every Mutant Beast could not help but flicker.

After a moment, as if having determined something, Golden Ant suddenly leaped up.

At the same time, a blood-colored vine under Thorns’ feet continuously grew bigger, lifting her towards the top of Titan’s head.

“Master, when you awaken, I will offer you a territory spanning tens of thousands of kilometers to you,” declaring in a firm and powerful voice, Golden Ant gazed towards the east, his eyes burning with a hint of fervor.

“A territory spanning tens of thousands of kilometers…” Thorns smiled, a bit moved.

[I’ve to admit, Fifth Brother’s courage is really something, far beyond ordinary people. But neither is mine.] Thinking of this, Thorns also promised, “Master, when you awaken, I’ll definitely offer a mountain of Spirit Plants to you.”

After having integrated with the Blood Vine, Thorns had gained some knowledge of cultivating the Spirit Plants. However, the Spirit Plants she cultivated must all be soaked in blood.

Blood was used as nourishment, and heaps of corpses served as fertilizer. While they were gorgeous when they bloomed, they were extremely bloody.

Thorns called these types of Spirit Plants as Blood Plants.

It was a terrifying method to nurture sentience, completely different from the Five-Color Spirit Flowers.

…

At this moment, hearing Golden Ant and Thorns’ declaration, the corner of Titan’s jaws drew back, before he grinned and shouted aloud, “I don’t understand so much… but I promise, whoever dares to harm Fifth Brother and Sixth Sister will have to step over my dead body.”

Declaring this…

*Roooaaar…* A roar, akin to a Dragon’s yet not Dragon’s, echoed across Misty Mountains. The determination in that roar not only moved Golden Ant and Thorns but also all other Mutant Beasts.

This was Old Seventh – Titan. While he was brutal and cruel to his enemies, he was really good to the companions he recognized.

…

Not long after…

The Bull-headed Humanoid Bull Demon and Nine Tails, standing side by side, watched the Mutant Beasts leaving, one after another.

“Elder Sister, do you think they’ll come back safely?”

“Who knows?” muttering to herself, Nine Tails’ gaze could not stop flickering.

[In this Era of Transcendence, no one can predict anything. Even a very small den can even give birth to an unparalleled monster, let alone that vast battlefield. If they ran into such terrifying monsters, let alone Little Fifth, even I can’t guarantee that I would manage to return safely. Well, that’s just the worst-case scenario. Given Little Fifth and other Mutant Beasts’ strength, they should have no problem safe-guarding their lives.]  As these thoughts swirled in Nine Tails’ mind, she turned towards Bull Demon and stated, “It’s time to send them out.”

“Very well.”

Hearing Nine Tails’ order, the corner of Bull Demon’s lips rose into a meaningful smile.

…

A short while after this…

Deep underground, the shape of a grand city could be seen.

*Tap, tap tap…* At this moment, neat and thunderous footsteps echoed through the underground city…

One terrifying figure after another, wearing a cold expression on their faces, could be seen marching in an orderly manner.

Upon a closer look, one would understand why they were called ‘terrifying.’

Each of these figures stood over 20 meters tall. Their bulging muscles were simply terrifying, resembling Coiling Dragons, and a thick coat of black hair covered their entire bodies.

However, that was not what made them terrifying. The truly terrifying aspect about these figures was that they were fully armed, like soldiers. They wore black armors that protected the most vulnerable parts of their bodies. Their armor was crafted from the shell of a Tier-2 Mutant Turtle brought back by the Divine Tree.

Using Top-Grade Tier-2 Material, a Turtle Shell as its core, supplemented by a large amount of unique metal, this armor finally took shape after being continuously smelted by breathing fire on it day and night by Old Ninth.

A whopping twenty-seven sets of these armors were forged, out of which twenty-one were large-sized, and six were small-sized.

The twenty-one giant-sized armors belonged to the strongest clan of Misty Mountains—the Chimpanzee Clan.

The remaining six were given to the six Knights of Misty Mountains.

According to the current era’s classification, these armors should be classified as Top-Grade Tier-2 Armors, just a hair’s breadth away from entering the ranks of Tier-3. Their defense was so incredible that even someone as strong as Snake Queen would have trouble breaching their defenses.

However, just the fact that they were wearing armor alone was not enough to call these figures terrifying.

If one looked at their backs, they would definitely notice them carrying weapons—some with long spears, some with huge bows, and some with long whips…

At a glance, they were armed with almost all eighteen types of weapons.

(Ashish: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighteen_Arms_of_Wushu)

Most of these weapons were crafted from the branches from the Divine Tree.

The Lord of the Desert had once bowed his head before the Divine Tree to obtain just one branch. And now, all these twenty-one figures were armed with weapons crafted from the branches from him.

It was quite easy to understand what this signified.

Moreover, the mysterious Golden Monkey also taught these King Kongs the Art of Blood Refining. A method that allowed one to refine weapons using Blood Essence, ultimately achieving unity of man and weapon.

This was a crude and ancient method of refining, the cost of which was that if the weapon was damaged, its owner would also be injured. Be that as it may, this method was quite suitable and practical for these King Kongs.

It was simply because their love for their weapons surpassed even themselves.

More importantly, most of them had mastered their weapons to a terrifying extent.

For example, the King Kongs carrying the giant bows could use their Spiritual Energy as an arrow. They did not need to fire twice. A single arrow was powerful enough to kill an enemy within a thousand kilometers.

This was the peak combat power of Misty Mountains’ strongest clan, the Chimpanzee Clan—the twenty-one King Kongs.

It was also Misty Mountains’ trump card that had never been revealed.
