As they moved deeper into Misty Mountains, the surroundings grew darker and quieter. However, after a while, like a light through the thicket, a glaring light caught their eyes.

Looking up, they saw a spacious area right ahead. It was circular in shape and covered an area about half the size of a soccer field.

And the Human girl, Saroli, happened to be standing in the center of the field.

“I’ve brought the Humans, Divine Tree,” she spoke, bringing her palms together and bowing.

“En.” Nodding, Yu Zi Yu silently praised Five-Color Spirit Flower’s acting skills in his heart. Her performance was truly impeccable. Anyone unaware might genuinely believe she was a High Priestess of some ancient clan.

This was exactly what Yu Zi Yu hoped to see. Mysteries always managed to instill awe in Humans. And Yu Zi Yu planned on using this fact to build a sense of awe in Humans.

[This is just the beginning.] Thinking this, Yu Zi Yu’s countless roots buried deep in the earth began to tremble fiercely.

*Boom, boom, boom…* Then, in the horrified and astonished gazes of the Russians, the open area in the forest began to shake.

Adding more to the dread, thick black roots, resembling the girth of a water bucket, split the ground apart, revealing a section of themselves.

The roots resembled giant Pythons, twisting back and forth, constantly entwining with each other.

By the time the Humans finally reacted, the ground was already criss-crossed with enormous roots, forming a huge structure, protruding from the surface.

However, upon a closer look, these tangled roots seemed to have woven a complex pattern. The pattern resembled a pentagram, with a strange structure rising at its center, almost like an altar.

“What’s this?” The Iron Fist Tyrant cried in astonishment, a hint of confusion evident in his gaze.

But before he could speak, the young girl standing not far from the ‘altar’ explained, “This is an altar for you Humans to carry out transactions with Divine Tree. When you’ve offered something that manages to win the favor of Divine Tree, Divine Tree will naturally reward you back in kind.”

Just at the drop of these words, the countless entwining roots began to slowly wriggle.

Before long, they revealed a pathway through the root-covered area, enough for a truck to pass through.

“Reward back?” murmuring, Benson exhaled a long, deep breath, before walking towards the black truck behind him.

After arriving near the vehicle, he pulled down the black curtain covering the cargo, revealing a dazzling blue electric glow.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a Spirit Stone Ore about four to five meters in width.

Unlike the Fire-Attribute Spirit Stones that were deep red in color, this Spirit Stone had a blue hue.

Faintly, one could even see glimpses of blue electric arcs streaking in the air.

“They have a Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine…” A light chuckle escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips, who was hidden in the depths of Misty Mountains, feeling extremely satisfied.

It was precisely because of the rich and extremely concentrated Lightning-Attribute Spiritual Energy that Yu Zi Yu decided to open his doors.

However, it was also because of this that Yu Zi Yu realized how amazing Humans were in collecting resources.

Even Spirit Treasures of extremely rare attributes like Lightning-Attribute, Wind-Attribute, Darkness-Attribute were hard to come by, let alone Spirit Stone Mines. However, Humans actually managed to locate them.

It stood as a testament of Humans level of control over this continent. In this regard, the solitary Mutant Beasts were far inferior.

Even if they made discoveries, each Mutant Beast would want to claim it for themselves, making it nearly impossible for others to know about it.

At this moment, having already pulled down the black curtain, Benson started speaking, “Divine Tree, this is an unprocessed Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone that I’ve prepared. I wonder if it’s to your liking.”

An unprocessed Spirit Stone meant that it had not been processed by Humans.

Typically, when Humans found a Spirit Stone Mine, they would process and cut it into regular shapes after excavation. This was done for easier transport, distribution, and even trade as a form of currency.

“It is.” a majestic voice echoed in all directions, bringing a pleased expression to Benson’s face.

Immediately after…

*Haaaa…* Taking a long, deep breath, Benson lifted the entire piece of unprocessed Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone with one hand, before slowly walking towards the altar.

Although it was his first encounter with such an altar, the well-experienced and knowledgeable Benson knew a bit about the process.

Now, he was going to trade with the Divine Tree using this huge Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone.

*Tap, tap tap…* With heavy footsteps, Benson followed along the path, more accurately climbed up a staircase, and arrived not far from the altar.

At this moment, Benson finally came to realize that the altar was much larger than he had imagined, much to his surprise.

It was a whopping fifty-six square meters in size.

Even more surprisingly, the floor of the altar was flowing. Like a river, it was flowing continuously, rotating at a slow pace, forming a yellowish-brown vortex.

“Place the Spirit Stone you’re offering into the vortex, and you will get what you desire,” Saroli, who was standing by the altar, as if overseeing the ritual, stated in a calm voice.

“Yes, Madam,” showing a rare respect, Benson suppressed the tension in his heart.

Then, with a light toss, the entire Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone fell into the yellowish-brown vortex.

Without creating any kind of ripple whatsoever, the Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone slowly sank into the vortex until it completely disappeared.

Just as the Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone disappeared into the vortex completely, the entire yellowish-brown vortex fiercely shook.

Immediately after, much to Benson’s astonishment, a drop of extremely concentrated Life Essence rose from the center of the vortex.

“This drop of Life Essence is enough to remove the toxins from your body,” introducing once again, Saroli waved her right hand.

*Swoosh…* With a whoosh, the drop of Life Essence flew towards Benson.

Benson did not show any kind of resistance. Having long seen through the mystical nature of Life Essence, his face rather revealed a hint of excitement and even ecstasy.

The next moment…

The drop of Life Essence fell on Benson’s body, merging into him like water right after.

Before Benson could react, he felt the Spiritual Energy within him suddenly boiling.

Even more terrifying was that his body was slowly strengthening, at a pace he could perceive.

While it was slow, compared to the strengthening done through continuous training, which was so slow that it could be considered as not making any progress at all, this enhancement speed could be described as nothing short of miraculous.

Moreover, this was not the main point. The most important point was that Benson could even feel his bottleneck loosening.

Much to his shock and surprise, the bottleneck which had been hindering him from stepping into the ranks of Apex Superhumans, was loosening at this moment.

[Maybe… Maybe, with a few more drops of Life Essence like this, I can successfully reach the Fourth Order of Tier-2 and finally become an Apex Superhuman?]

Thinking this, Benson’s face could not help but reveal a trace of excitement, shouting, “Divine Tree, I want to make another trade with you!”

“I want to…”

At this moment, what Benson did not know was Yu Zi Yu’s teenage form, woven by countless rootlets, hidden deep within Misty Mountains, had an eerie smile playing on his lips.

“The hearts of Humans are made of greed. If you can’t manage to rule it, even the strongest of wills become its slave…”
