In the pitch-black night, a streak of green light streaked across the land towards the west of the continent.

However, at this moment, unbeknown to Yu Zi Yu, in a corner of the Taklamakan Desert in the west part of the continent…

*Yip!* A loud and resonant Fox’s scream, seemingly coming straight from ancient times, resounded through half the desert.

Gazing upward, one could witness cluster of deep red flames gathering in the sky across half of the desert.

In the midst of these seemingly endless deep red flames, one could also catch a figure with four limbs floating within, stretching its body completely.

Additionally, enormous tails were attached to its rear, swaying gently like banana leaves.

“One, two, three…” Counting the tails behind Nine Tails, the voice of Five-Color Spirit Flower sounded a bit surprised.

“It seems like Nine Tails has gained another tail,” the Five-Color Spirit Flower mumbled in astonishment, her attention focused on the fourth tail behind Nine Tails, which seemed tender and smaller in size.

“Indeed.” Nodding, Golden Ant also affirmed.

Then, looking at the puzzled Five-Color Spirit Flower, Golden Ant explained, “Every time Elder Sister advances, she gains an additional tail.”

Hearing this explanation, the Five-Color Spirit Flower was even more astonished, and stated in disbelief, “You mean Nine Tails has become a Tier-3 Transcendent?”

“Uh…”

Golden Ant hesitated for a moment, a bit somewhat uncertain.

He did not know much about Nine Tails.

However, sensing his Elder Sister’s aura growing more and more horrifying, he asked doubtfully, “Seems like a breakthrough, doesn’t it?”

“Seems like!?”

“I… don’t know…”

Shaking his head decisively, Golden Ant could not provide a precise answer.

However, at this moment, a very enchanting voice echoed in their minds, “Half-step…”

Saying that, Nine Tails emphasized again, “Now, I could be considered a Half-step Tier-3 Transcendent, with only a bit more than 900,000 Spiritual Energy. If I can absorb enough Spiritual Energy, breaking through to Tier-3 should not be difficult…”

Having finished speaking, Nine Tails in the sky slowly lowered her head.

After a moment, like a whale inhaling water…, a terrifying suction came from the sky.

At the same time, wisps of red Spiritual Energy rose from the hill in the desert.

In the blink of an eye, the wisps gathered into a storm of flame, swirling towards the sky.

…

As she continued to absorb vast amounts of Fire-Attribute Spiritual Energy, Nine Tails’ aura grew even more frightening.

Consequently, her fourth tail behind her grew a little thicker.

However, just at this moment…

“Roar, roar, roar…”

Continuous roars and howls echoed on the horizon.

Evidently, the commotion caused by Nine Tails’ breakthrough had alarmed most of the Mutant Beasts.

In the distance, sand waves, hundreds of feet tall, could be seen surging over.

Riding atop of the sand waves was an enormous serpent, yellowish-brown in color, dozens of feet wide, seemingly made of sand.

The Sand Python happened to be one of the most terrifying Mutant Beasts in the Taklamakan Desert.

Each of its attacks could create enormous sand waves.

On another side, the ground was fiercely quaking…

Looking closely, one could see numerous basketball-sized, Rats-like, sandy-yellow creatures approaching.

These sandy-yellow creatures were Desert Rats, exclusive to the desert.

However, they too happened to be a dreadful type of Mutant Beast.

Wherever they went, the land would be reduced into desert.

They were one of the pioneers in the development of the Taklamakan Desert’s territory.

And in the rear of these Desert Rats, there was a huge Desert Rat, over ten meters long. Its eyes, like soybeans, would occasionally dart around, a hint of cunningness and cruelty flickering in them.

…

“A beast tide! Big Sister’s breakthrough has alarmed these terrifying beings of the desert.”

With a touch of solemnity, Golden Ant clenched his fist.

“What else can these guys do, apart from taking advantage of others’ troubles?”

Full of complaints, the petals of the Five-Color Spirit Flower began to slowly tremble.

At the same time, an inexplicable force began to spread in all directions.

“For these guys surviving in the wild, once they smell an opportunity, they will go for it regardless of everything.”  Expressing his opinion in a cold voice, the Transcendent Snow Leopard began to stretch his body.

However, judging by his serious expression, it was clear that this beast tide was not something easy to deal with either.

After all, the majority of the creatures in this beast tide were formidable in strength; otherwise, they would not dare to come and claim a share of the spoils.

These entities were strong enough to fight Golden Ant and others on equal footing in one-on-one combat. And now, they were coming in swarms.

However, at this moment…

Even the terrifying perception of the Five-Color Spirit Flower failed to detect that, deep in the Taklamakan Desert…

*Tap, tap tap…*

Accompanied by heavy footsteps, a Human-shaped figure slowly walked out.

“This aura… someone has reached my level again?”

A deep, hoarse voice echoed in the depths of the Western Desert, causing the surrounding air to freeze, as if some almighty existence had descended.

…

At this moment, the Five-Color Spirit Flower and the others engaged with the approaching beast tide.

“Attack.” Tenderly shouting, the petals of the Five-Color Spirit Flower trembled uncontrollably.

At the same time, the pupils of the countless Mutant Desert Rats that were attacking suddenly constricted.

Much to the astonishment of their companions, these Desert Rats actually pounced on their nearest companion and bit.

In the moment of pain, the Desert Rats, not controlled by Five-Color Spirit Flower, counterattacked without a moment of hesitation.

They bare their sharp fangs as a hint of fierceness flashed in their deep eyes.

In just an instant, thousands of Desert Rats were entangled in a chaotic battle, dyeing the desert red in an instant.

Sensing the commotion, a terrifying Mutant Desert Rat in the rear, let out a terrifying squeak.

*Squeak…* The terrifying squeak swept layer after layer of sand into the air, reaching such heights that the skyline turned dark. However, it caused a dramatic change in the expression of Five-Color Spirit Flower.

Because, at this moment, she lost control of nearly half of the Desert Rats.

Apparently, the Desert Rat King had awakened most of its kin with a squeak.

*Haaaa* Sighing, Five-Color Spirit Flower also felt somewhat helpless. She glanced at the nearby Inferno Snake Clan, who were already prepared, and ordered, “Stop them.”

“Yes,” responding in unison, the two leaders of the Inferno Serpent Clan then hissed towards the sky.

*Hisss, hisss…* Hearing their terrifying hisses, the innumerable flame-like Inferno Snakes rushed out, bringing up a billowing sea of flames along, fueling their terrifying momentum further.

They were definitely not inferior to the Desert Rat Clan, which was bringing in waves of sands.

On the other side, Golden Ant, Lupin, and Snow Leopard, among others, gazed solemnly in several other directions.

“Just stall, don’t push it,” reminding them, Golden Ant shot towards one direction like a cannonball.

“Strength Boost–1st Stage.”

No sooner had Golden Ant finished speaking, his aura underwent a drastic change.

However, just right after, Golden Ant whispered again, “Strength Boost–2nd Stage.”

*Boom!* Accompanied by a fearsome, Golden Ant’s entire body shrugged with a tinge of blood color.

However, before the red color could linger, the rising temperature of Golden Ant’s body evaporated the blood.

From a distance, Golden Ant seemed to be enveloped in a mist of blood, and the extremely terrifying aura emanating from him made everyone feel suffocated.

Faintly, everyone felt their chests tighten up.
