Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 746: Two Enemiesʼs Arrival

Zhang Fei [5] did not want to hold back or waste time facing the young blacksmith of the Divine Flame Realm, so he took out his forging equipment. The Portable Dragon Flame Furnace, the Heavenly Forge Hammer, and the Heavenly Soulweave Anvil.

ʼThree divine-grade equipment!ʼ Not only were Li Yanzhi and Yuan Kong shocked to see that, but Duan Zhao and his four disciples were also shocked to find out that Zhang Fei [5] had three divine-grade blacksmithing equipment.

Unfortunately, the Heavenly Forge Array was not a portable formation, and Zhang Fei [5] had already set it up in the training space, so he could not use it in the competition. Even so, it wasnʼt a big deal for him because he had already forged dozens of spirit-grade swords, and he had already created the most perfect one.

However, Zhang Fei [5] was curious about the true effect of his hammer and anvil. He wanted to try to implant his soul mark in his weapon later, and he intended to infuse his soul power into it.

[Do you really intend to use Nalan Yushu as a sword spirit for the new sword, Master?]

ʼMei, these forging materials arenʼt that good, and it would be a waste if I used her soul to be the sword spirit. I will do so after I find a way to go to the realms beyond the upper realms and find materials of much higher quality, so the sword I will create at that time will be of the best quality.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] heated his furnace before starting to soften all the materials, and he softened them at the same time.

Li Yanzhi and Yuan Kong frowned at Zhang Fei [5]ʼs actions because no blacksmith had ever done such things before, and they usually softened the forging materials one at a time, especially since each material required different heat, like the herbs in alchemy.

Xian Xian and the others were also confused by Zhang Fei [5]ʼs actions, but Duan Zhao asked them not to say anything and focused on watching how he softened them and forged his weapon.

ʼThis guy is crazy! The starsteel and the shell of the metal tortoise have different hardnesses, so he needed different heats to soften them, but he softened them at the same time.ʼ Li Yanzhi and Yuan Kong muttered in their hearts, but they were shocked when they saw the fire inside Zhang Fei [5]ʼs furnace split into two, and the heat they produced was clearly different. One was blazing hot, and the other was mildly hot. ʼHe is still twenty years old, and his cultivation is still in the ten mortal realms, but his control over his fire element is simply amazing. Not all fire cultivators can separate and control their fire elements in two different heats at the same time, and only our leader Ji Changlan can do it.ʼ

The young blacksmith of the Divine Flame Realm became nervous watching Zhang Fei [5] do that, which caused his fire element to go out of control. However, he quickly stabilized his fire, but it couldnʼt reduce his nervousness.

Half an hour later, Zhang Fei [5] pulled the two materials out of his furnace and hammered them both in a fast and alternating rhythm. Although he looked reckless, Duan Zhao and the others could see that every beat of his hammer was precise, and they could also feel that he infused his soul power into the two metals, which made them confused and wonder about his purpose for using his soul power, especially since blacksmiths would only do that if they intended to forge a soul weapon.

Once the two materials were evenly flat, Zhang Fei [5] stacked them together and used his aura to mold them into a single piece of material. After molding the two materials, he dipped them in a special cooling liquid and waited for it to harden first.

[Master, I think you have become more skilled at forging spirit-grade weapons, so you should start focusing on forging earth-grade weapons.]

Zhang Fei [5] released a soft sigh in response to Meiʼs words. ʼYou know that I have tried to forge earth-grade weapons several times, but I have not succeeded until now, and I feel that there is something wrong with the pores. Unfortunately, Tie Xuan is in the Blossom Heaven Realm now, so I canʼt ask him for guidance, but I will ask Duan Zhao later.ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] and the others suddenly felt two powerful auras enter the Nine Stars Realm, and they saw an artifact flying across the sky, but it quickly flew towards the Huangfu Kingdom.

Since they came from the upper realms, Li Yanzhi and Yuan Kong immediately recognized that the owners of the two auras were cultivators from there. They did not dare to check their identities, especially since their aura was clearly stronger than theirs.

ʼYou donʼt need to think about them, and they came here for a specific purpose.ʼ Duan Zhao and his four disciples immediately looked at Zhang Fei [5], but he did not say anything further and thought about something. ʼThese two auras should belong to Li Tiannan and the person from the Huangfu Clan. Since they have arrived, I will make a move on them, but I have to investigate their true strength first.ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] then contacted the fake Ruo Yanxi and ordered her to find a way to do something about the person from the Huangfu Clan. He also instructed Huangfu Ziyuan, Huangfu Lian, and Old Ling to monitor the person.

Zhang Fei [5] did not forget to contact Xian Feng, Yun Shang, Long Huang, Linghu Yingchen, and Xian Lianghua.

Mai Xiaomeng naturally noticed the arrival of the two people, but she forbade her clan members from doing anything. Instead, she went to check on the two people herself, but she contacted Zhang Fei [5] to inform him of her purpose, which he agreed to.

Huangfu Shou, Helian Yueyi, Huangfu Ziyuan, Huangfu Lian, Huangfu Xiaofan, the fake Ruo Yanxi, and several women were waiting at the top of the royal palace.

After a few minutes, a flying artifact landed in front of them, and Li Tiannan led an old man down it.

However, Helian Yueyi and some other women shuddered when they noticed a glimmer of lewdness in the old manʼs eyes, and he clearly wanted to devour them. Unlike them, the fake Ruo Yanxi still looked calm and responded with a faint but seductive smile.

Huangfu Shou also noticed the old manʼs gaze at his wife, but he was too afraid to stop her because he was the messenger of his ancestors, and his cultivation was several major levels higher than his. ʼCrap! Why did my ancestors send a man like him here? I couldnʼt possibly stop him if he wanted to do something awful to my wives and daughters.ʼ

Li Tiannan then introduced the old man to them. ”His name is Huangfu Fanbo, and he is one of the elders of the Huangfu Clan. He is also one of the best physicians in the Grand Royal Realm, so ancestors Huangfu Zhenji and Huangfu Xinnan sent him here to check on Huangfu Xiaomei and Huangfu Xiaoyingʼs condition.”

Huangfu Shou immediately greeted the old man. ”Welcome to our palace, Senior Fanbo.”

”Lead me to your daughters first, and weʼll talk later.”

”Please follow me, Senior.” Huangfu Shou immediately led the old man, followed by his two sons and Huangfu Ziyuan. However, he forbade Helian Yueyi and the others from following them.

The fake Ruo Yanxi immediately contacted Zhang Fei [5] and reported the situation to him. On the other hand, Helian Yueyi asked Li Tiannan. ”Senior, are the cultivators of the Red Sun Realm really that powerful?”

”Is the mysterious man still bothering you?” Helian Yueyi nodded at Li Tiannan. ”There are four strongest clans in the Red Sun Realm: the Shang, Hong, Xi, and Huo Clans. The Murong Clan is also powerful, even though they are not as powerful as the four clans. According to the Huangfu Ancestors, the Shang and Xi clans want to rule that realm, but the other two clans prevent them from doing so. I heard from them that the Hong Clan has succeeded in convincing several clans to their side, and the Huo Clan is in a neutral position. They also told me that the Mai Clan is from the western region, and their strength is on par with the Murong Clan, but they are a beast clan.”

”A beast clan?”

Li Tiannan nodded. ”They donʼt know the exact identity of their beast race, but they said that their leader is quite powerful. Anyway, Iʼve heard from your husband that Zhang Fei is the mysterious guyʼs son, and Iʼve told him not to trouble him anymore. Otherwise, no one can save your family, especially since the Huangfu Ancestors have said they donʼt want to face those clans.”

”I see.” Helian Yueyi sighed heavily in her heart, especially since everything was too late. The matter had become complicated ever since Huangfu Lian wanted to capture Zhang Fei, and he had already made it clear that he would destroy her family. ʼSigh! Since the Huangfu Ancestors clearly donʼt want to help us, I have to think of another solution to save my family. However, that guy hasnʼt come to me in the past two weeks, and I have no way to contact him.”

”Iʼll follow them now.”

After Li Tiannan left, Helian Yueyi immediately said to the fake Ruo Yanxi and the other concubines. ”That old man seems to have bad intentions toward us, so you all should leave this palace for the time being. Our husband has no power to resist him, and you will be in trouble if he really does something bad to us.”

”What about you, Sister Yueyi?”

Helian Yueyi shook her head at them. ”I am the empress of this kingdom, so I will stay here to accompany our husband.”

”In that case, I will accompany you here, Sister Yueyi.” Helian Yueyi frowned at the fake Ruo Yanxi. ”We are both women, and we are our husbandʼs wives. Therefore, I will not leave you two behind, and I will accompany you.”

Seeing the determination on the fake Ruo Yanxiʼs expression, Helian Yueyi did not say anything more to her. ”You guys leave this palace right now, or it will be too late.”

”Yes, Sister Yueyi.”

Helian Yueyi then asked the fake Ruo Yanxi to accompany her to her room, especially since she did not want to meet Huangfu Fanbo. However, she was surprised when they arrived at her room, especially since Zhang Fei [4] was already there and leisurely waiting for them. ”Are you crazy? Why did you come here so early? My husband and the others are in my two daughtersʼ room right now, and they will definitely notice your presence.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [4] laughed upon hearing that. ”Why are you acting like a woman whoʼs afraid of her husband catching her cheating?”

”You—”

”You donʼt have to worry because they will never notice me coming.” Zhang Fei [4] interrupted Helian Yueyi. ”I arrived long before those two people arrived, and they would have already come here if they had noticed my presence here. I didnʼt come here to see you, but I came to check their strength. Li Tiannanʼs cultivation is at the 1-Moon Divine Fusion Realm, and the old manʼs cultivation is at the 1-Moon Divine Transformation Realm, so neither of them is an opponent for me or my wives.”

Helian Yueyi was shocked after hearing about Li Tiannan and Huangfu Fanboʼs cultivation. ”Are you sure you can beat the old man? He clearly has malicious intentions toward me and the others, and his presence here makes me uncomfortable.”

”Do you need to doubt my words? That old man didnʼt even notice my presence, even though his cultivation was that high.” Helian Yueyi nodded to Zhang Fei [4]. ”However, you and the others are not my wives, so your safety is none of my business, and I could not care less if that old man wanted to do anything bad to you all.”

”Why are you so mean?” Helian Yueyi asked with a frown.

Zhang Fei [4] indifferently shrugged. ”If Huangfu Shou cannot guarantee the safety of all of you, then he is not worthy of being your husband. You guys can divorce him and leave this palace, and you will be safe from the old man. Unfortunately, itʼs too late, especially since he already targeted you.”

Helian Yueyi looked angry at Zhang Fei [4]ʼs indifferent response, but she couldnʼt refute him because they had no relationship whatsoever, and they were enemies. ”What can I do to get you to help us?”

”Kill your husband for me, and I will save all of you. You donʼt have to answer now, and I will give you time to think about it. However, you donʼt have much time because Iʼm sure that Huangfu Fanbo will come to you soon, so you must make a decision quickly.” Zhang Fei [4] immediately disappeared from Helian Yueyiʼs sight, but he didnʼt really leave there, and he entered an invisible state instead. After that, he went to Huangfu Xiaoying and Huangfu Xiaomeiʼs room to monitor the old man closely.

”Are you really going to kill our husband, Sister Yueyi?” The fake Ruo Yanxi asked her.

Helian Yueyi sharply glared at her. ”Do you think I will betray our husband for my own safety? If that old man comes to me and intends to do something awful to me, I will commit suicide before he can do it.”

”Oh.” The fake Ruo Yanxi gave a light nod. ”In that case, I will accompany you, Sister Yueyi. The old man may be strong, but Iʼm sure he wonʼt survive if we explode our cultivation cores.”

”Youʼre right.” Helian Yueyi then set up a formation in her room in the hope that Hungfu Fanbo couldnʼt break through it. ”However, suicide is our last option, and we have to think of another solution to avoid it.”

.

.

.

Zhang Fei [4] was already inside Huangfu Xiaoying and Huangfu Xiaomeiʼs room. He observed Huangfu Fanbo examining the two women, but the old manʼs gaze roamed over their bodies, and he repeatedly licked his lips. ʼThis old bastard! I am a lustful demon lord, but he is much more lustful than me. Hey, Mei, how did your examination of the black liquid go?ʼ

[I couldnʼt find any information about the black liquid, Master. Iʼm sure the black liquid came from something that came from the realms beyond the upper realms, so the system couldnʼt detect it. I think the only solution is to take the two women to the Star Tower, and the old man in the tower might be able to do something for them.]

Zhang Fei [4] did not care much about the fate of Huangfu Xiaomei and Huangfu Xiaoying. They were useless in that condition, so he considered taking them to the Star Tower.

”How did it go, Senior?” Huangfu Shou immediately inquired after Huangfu Fanbo had finished examining his two daughters.

Huangfu Fanbo shook his head in response. ”I have never seen this black liquid before, so I donʼt have a solution for them. Where exactly were they exposed to it?”

”Senior, they were exposed to this black liquid in the Star Tower, specifically in the Maze Challenge.”

Huangfu Fanbo turned to Huangfu Lian, who immediately explained the situation at that time. ”I have never heard of the Star Tower before, but if these two little girls were exposed to this black liquid there, I am sure the antidote is there as well. Our best option is to take them there, and I may be able to find the antidote to cure them.”

”How about we go there now, Senior?” Huangfu Shou asked. ”My two daughters have been in this condition for almost three months, and Iʼm afraid they will die if we donʼt cure them soon.”

Huangfu Fanbo felt lazy to help the two women, but he had no other choice because their ancestors ordered him to cure them. ”Letʼs go now! You must bring all your family and aides there so we can find the antidote faster.”
