Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 725: An Impostor

Zhang Fei [5]ʼs words caused the high-level winged races to laugh out loud. One of them immediately mocked him. ”Do you think you can defeat hundreds of thousands of us with your small numbers?”

”Arrogant asshole.” Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”Not only are you the most hypocritical, but you are also the most idiotic beings in the entire universe.”

The winged races immediately became alert as soon as a gate and portal appeared in front of them. Soon, Hong Xinxin walked out of the gate with Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen. From the portal, Shang Yumei led all of Zhang Feiʼs wives and partners. Additionally, he also summoned the thunderbird out of the beast space.

Unlike Hong Xinxin, who already knew Zhang Fei [5]ʼs true identity, Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen were shocked to see so many women present at that place. Furthermore, they had previously encountered him in the Azure Sky Realm, but now another him stood before them. They also felt the absence of Qi in the Tian Realm, confirming that they were in another realm.

”Do you think your numbers are useful in the face of absolute power?” Zhang Fei [5] turned to all his wives and partners. ”All this time, youʼve trained so hard, but most of you have never fought real people. Show them the results of your training and kill them all.”

”Letʼs go!”

Liu Hua and the others vanished from their positions in an instant. They spread out to various areas and attacked those winged races. Despite their cultivation being below the Earth Realm, their strength and speed were more than sufficient to fight those winged races. The thunderbird, Lei Que, also flew to attack the winged races flying in the air.

Of the demons of the Diyu Realm, only Virgil, Angela, and the Amaris Twins joined the battle. Zhang Fei [5] asked Oz the Second, Ursula, and Tharnon to stay where they were, as their strength was too overpowered to fight the high-level winged races.

Zhang Fei [5] also prohibited Boitata, Shang Yumei, Xian Xianqin, Qian Ying, Yun Xinyue, Zhou Shenxin, Ling Long, Dan Qingying, and Gu Hanshuang from moving. They are more experienced than his other wives and partners, and their cultivation is also too high to face those winged races.

Liu Hua and the Wen Twins were basically experienced assassins, and their movements were difficult for the winged race to predict, especially when they used the Vanishing Mirage Steps.

The fighting abilities of Liu Qingyu, Zhang Lingxue, Ye Lian, Shen Xueyi, Shen Yu, and Hu Yue were beyond doubt. Their experience, combined with the results of their training in the training space, made them too strong for those winged races.

Despite their lack of fighting experience, Chu Ying, Chu Qing, Zhao Ziqin, and Zhang Feiʼs partners were still experienced cultivators, so they had no difficulty fighting those winged races.

Zhang Lin, Qing Yi, Tang Ziyu, and Ru Xue often practiced using battle simulations and killed countless beasts. However, the way they fought was still stiff due to their lack of experience fighting against real people, and they still needed to adjust to such a fight.

Zhang Yueʼs ice element presented a formidable challenge to all those winged races. She easily froze them and shattered them into pieces.

”How did you train them?” Hong Xinxin asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”Most of them are still in the Earth Realm, but their speed is incredibly fast. Even I am not confident that I can catch up to them, let alone these non-cultivator winged races.”

”Despite their weaknesses, they are quite formidable, right?” Hong Xinxin nodded to Zhang Fei [5]. ”I havenʼt brought you there because you still have a lot of things to do, and I still need a lot of help from you. I will bring you there once everything settles, and I am confident that you can surpass Shang Huaqiang, even if your cultivation is still far below his.”

Hong Xinxin appeared eager to train with them, particularly after observing Zhang Lin and the othersʼ impressive fighting skills, especially their speed. ”Where is their leader? Why did he let his subordinates be slaughtered like this?”

”Their leader is a coward who only dares to hide.” Shang Yumei then pointed upwards. ”The strongest among them is on the upper three floors, but that person is too shocked by our strength, so he doesnʼt dare to appear in front of us.”

”Since their leader doesnʼt dare to appear, we just need to kill his subordinates, right?” Ling Long casually spoke.

Xian Xianqin nodded in agreement. ”Actually, I donʼt want to fight with them, but they are our enemies.”

”They are too arrogant and ignorant, so they just throw their lives away in vain.” Zhou Shenxin commented with a shake of her head.

”Husband, I want to try something.” Zhang Fei [5] turned to Yun Xinyue, who had already taken out her purple spear. After she injected her Qi into her spear, it instantly shot toward those high-level winged races, and the lightning field surrounding it immediately electrocuted them. ”Hehe! I can finally use that technique, and I can fight from a long distance now.”

ʼHusband? Are they all Longʼerʼs wives?ʼ Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen wondered as they stole glances at all the women.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately looked at the two women. ”Xinyu and Yifen, this is the real me. All of them are my wives and partners.”

”What do you mean by that, Longʼer?” Shang Xinyu raised an eyebrow in question.

”My real name is Zhang Fei, and Iʼm not the 10-year-old kid. Instead, Iʼm 20 years old, and I disguised myself as Zhang Xiaolong because I wanted to destroy Shang Huaqiang.” Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen were completely shocked after hearing Zhang Fei [5]ʼs revelation. ”I know Iʼve deceived both of you, and Iʼve deceived others as well, but I have no choice. My strength is indeed high now, but Iʼm definitely not an opponent of Shang Huaqiang and his Shang Clan, so I have to use other means against them.”

”I was also shocked and angry after he told me the whole truth, but I know more about him now, so I decided to forgive him and become his wife.” Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen turned to Hong Xinxin, who immediately shared her memories of chatting with Zhang Chen and the others with them. ”You two can see my memories, and you guys will understand why he deceived us all.”

Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen immediately closed their eyes and saw Hong Xinxinʼs memories. They were quite shocked to hear that Zhang Fei [5] had died once as an ordinary human, and he could become a cultivator after being resurrected from the dead. They were no longer surprised by his identity as a fox beast and a demon, as they had known about both for a long time. However, they were surprised to discover that he was not a fox demon but rather a lust demon.

”Do you two understand now?” Shang Xinyu and Shang Yifen nodded to Hong Xinxin. ”You two can talk to him later, and we will focus on clearing up these winged races first. Theyʼre almost finished, and we will move to the next floor after this.”

Sometime later, Li Hua and the others killed all the winged race on the seventh floor, and they immediately swallowed Qi recovery pills, especially since the Qi in their bodies was not as abundant as their husbandʼs. Zhang Yue, having used the technique from the Ice Phoenix Scripture, swallowed three Qi recovery pills because her Qi was too thin.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately led them to the eighth floor, where many groups of winged races were waiting for them. However, they had already lost their will to fight, particularly after learning that all the members of their race downstairs were dead.

”Move!” All the winged races immediately opened the way for Zhang Fei [5] and the others. Since they were unwilling to fight, he forbade his people from killing them, and they proceeded straight to the ninth floor.

Upon reaching the ninth floor, they found the winged races already arrayed on both sides, their weapons resting on the ground. Zhang Fei [5] was relieved by their decision, especially since he didnʼt want to kill more winged races.

Once they reached the last stair, Zhang Fei [5] sent almost all of them back into the training space. Only the demons from the Diyu Realm, Zheng Mohei, and all the female cultivators with cultivation in the seven divine realms remained behind.

Zhang Fei [5] turned to Oz the Second. ”After this, the human realm and the Diyu Realm will be peaceful, and I will focus on my personal affairs.”

”Have you forgotten about the Xian Realm? They also have the ambition to rule the four realms, and the situation will never be peaceful as long as we have not conquered them.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”We will first meet the Seraph, and then I will send you to the Diyu Realm. As for the Xian Realm, I will bring Xinxin and the others there, and I will conquer them.”

”Letʼs go in then.”

Zhang Fei [5] and the others immediately frowned as soon as they arrived on the tenth floor, especially since the Throne was different from what they had imagined. He doesnʼt have a holy aura but a baleful aura, and his whole body is black, including his wings.

”His ambition and greed have corrupted him.” Oz the Second spoke in a low tone.

”Hahahaha!” The Throne laughed out loud after hearing his remark. ”I had planned everything for hundreds of years, but I never considered the existence of another variable, which ruined everything. If it werenʼt for that human man, all my plans would never have failed, and I would have ruled the human realm today.”

”You talk too much.” The Throne froze after hearing Zhang Fei [5]ʼs voice from behind, but the demon extermination sword had already pierced through his body before he could react. ”Since youʼve turned into a demon, you can die now.”

”Do you think you can kill me?” Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow as the Throne abruptly vanished. ”I must admit that you are great for a human, but you are only a mere mortal, and a mortal like you will never be able to kill me.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately moved in front of the Throne once more, thrusting the demon extermination sword into his body. However, he remained completely unharmed and vanished once more. ʼCan you check his body, Mei?ʼ

[Iʼm checking it, Master.]

Seeing that, Hong Xinxin and Shang Yumei also moved to attack the Throne, but their attacks did not have any impact on him, which shocked and confused them. After all, the leader of those winged races is obviously weaker than them, yet their attacks are useless against him.

”Hahaha!” The Throne laughed at their reaction, and darkness shot out of his body, filling the entire area of the floor. ”You guys are too strong for the current me, so I will not waste my time fighting you, and I will return to this realm in the future. At that time, the four realms will be under my feet, and all the inhabitants will become my sacrifices.”

However, Zhang Fei [5] immediately absorbed all the darkness, but the Throne had already disappeared. Even Mei and the system could not detect his presence.

[Master, I didnʼt manage to check his body, but Iʼm sure that it wasnʼt his real body, and he probably hid his real body somewhere else.]

Zhang Fei [5]ʼs expression was extremely ugly. He was confident that he could defeat and kill the Throne, but the situation was beyond his expectations, and his enemy had already fled without a trace.

”How can a winged race have such an ability?” Shang Yumei asked with a frown.

”I have fought with several winged races from the upper realms, but none of them have such an ability. I donʼt understand how that guy could nullify our attacks, nor could my senses detect his presence once he disappeared. Furthermore, his race aligns with the strong light element, but he actually possesses the darkness element.” Hong Xinxin then questioned Zhang Fei [5]. ”Were you able to track him down?”

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] answered with a shake of his head. ”The Throneʼs presence instantly disappeared into thin air, and I couldnʼt find him anywhere. If my guess is correct, his body is not his real body, but rather a technique similar to that of an avatar.”

”An avatar technique?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at them. ”I have an acquaintance in the Sky Jade Realm; she used the avatar technique, and I couldnʼt detect anything from her. I experienced the same sensation from the Throneʼs body just now, leading me to believe that he is indeed an avatar. Iʼm not sure how he could use such a technique, but I think the person we faced just now wasnʼt the real one, and someone else might have disguised himself as him. If my guess is correct, that person probably came from the middle or upper realms, but I donʼt understand his reason for using these winged races.”

”Is there anything interesting in this realm?” Shang Yumei asked.

Hong Xinxin but then said. ”This realm has no Qi, so it shouldnʼt be interesting or useful to middle or upper realm cultivators.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately disappeared from their sight, but he reappeared a few moments later, bringing Gabriel, Dou Haishang, Jiang Yinghua, and Meng Tianshi with him. ”The Throne that you have known so far is not the real him.”

”What do you mean by that?” Zhang Fei [5] immediately informed them about his recent battle with the Throne. ”That means the impostor has been toying with our race all this time.”

”I canʼt confirm his real identity or his reasons for using your race, but he wouldnʼt possibly do it without a clear purpose.” Zhang Fei [5] suddenly remembered something. ”If my guess is correct, that person captured the Throne a long time ago and took over his position to control your race, and I suspect it has something to do with the past calamity.”

”What do you mean by past calamity?” Hong Xinxin and Shang Yumei asked the same question simultaneously.

Gabriel answered them directly. ”Long ago, countless cultivators and beasts were living in the four realms, including our ancestors. However, they disappeared after the great calamity struck the four realms, and only ordinary races remained, but I donʼt know for sure what kind of calamity happened at that time because there are no records of it.”

”Do you think another impostor is already controlling the people of the Xian Realm?” Oz the Second abruptly questioned Zhang Fei. ”The four realms actually got along well in the past, but the situation suddenly changed, and people from the Xian and Tian realms began to invade our Diyu Realm, so I guessed it like that.”

”The only way to confirm the truth of this matter is to go to the Xian Realm directly.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately opened a portal to the training space, and Zhang Fei [4] walked out of it. ”I have never been to the Xian Realm before, so we have to go there through the gate in this realm. Meanwhile, I want Jiang Yinghua and Meng Tianshi to accompany my clone to Heavenʼs Library, and I want to check all the ancient records available there.”

”All right.” Jiang Yinghua and Meng Tianshi immediately led Zhang Fei [4] to the Heavenʼs Library.

Gabriel asked Dou Haishang to coordinate the remaining subordinates of the Throne. He then led Zhang Fei [5] and the others to the gate that connected their realm with the Xian Realm.

Upon their arrival, Gabriel immediately opened the gate, and Zhang Fei [5] spoke to him. ”You donʼt need to come with us and help Dou Haishang to reorganize this realm.”

”All right, I leave the affairs of the Xian Realm to you.” After that, Zhang Fei [5] led the others to go to the Xian Realm.
