Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 706: Building His Force I

While Zhang Fei was having fun with Han Yuanzhi and Ling Long, Xiong Ningwu returned to her Xiong Clan. She immediately gathered her clanʼs senior members and discussed his offer to join his organization.

All of them were shocked when Xiong Ningwu told them about Zhang Feiʼs relationship with Xian Xianqin, Yun Xinyue, and Zhou Shenxin. Moreover, they knew that Ling Long was Huangfu Lianʼs fiancée, yet she was in a relationship with another man.

Xiong Ningwu threw two more shocking bombs at them, which were about Linghu Yinchengʼs freedom and Shang Yumeiʼs presence at Zhang Feiʼs side. ”You all know that my cultivation has long reached the 5-Moon Divine Expansion Realm, but I canʼt detect that womanʼs cultivation, so I do not doubt that she is indeed a cultivator from the upper realms. Moreover, Zhang Fei was an alchemist, and he also had several other alchemists by his side. If we join his organization, Iʼm sure it will bring us many benefits.”

”Have other clans besides the Han Clan also joined Zhang Feiʼs organization, Mother?” A middle-aged woman with a fair appearance posed the question.

Xiong Ningwu shook her head in response. ”Xiong Qingzi, I only heard about this matter today, and there were no representatives from other clans there, so Iʼm sure Zhang Fei hasnʼt offered this to them yet. However, Han Yuanzhi will take him to meet Bai Zizhen and the others soon, and they might join him, especially the Bai Clan under that old manʼs leadership.”

”Has Zhang Fei really freed Empress Yincheng from Huangfu Shouʼs control, Mother? Was she with them just now?” This time, a middle-aged man asked Xiong Ningwu.

”Linghu Yincheng is not with them, Xiong Junhong.” Xiong Ningwu was silent for a moment. ”Even though I didnʼt see her before, I believe Zhang Fei has indeed managed to free her from Huangfu Shou. Furthermore, I heard that Bai Shouyi, Bai Chongxi, and Bai Renfu have not returned to this kingdom since the Star Tower. I think their disappearance had something to do with him, and that powerful woman helped him do it.”

An old man who had been silent since the beginning finally spoke. ”Big Sis, if all your guesses are correct, this kingdom will undergo a major change soon. If Zhang Fei really has saved Empress Yincheng and her three children, I believe the Linghu Clan will join him soon. Additionally, the Bai Royal Family may establish a relationship with him through Bai Shouyi or the other princesses.”

”Old man, do you really believe that Empress Yincheng, Bai Shushi, and the others will allow their daughters to have a relationship with Zhang Fei?” An old woman asked.

The old man nodded his head. ”Old Lady, Zhang Fei already has Xian Xianqin, Yun Xinyue, and Zhou Shenxin by his side, remember? At first, Empress Yincheng and the others might be reluctant to hand over their daughters to him, but they might change their minds once they know his relationship with the three princesses. However, I still donʼt understand how Ling Long could become his woman since she is Huangfu Lianʼs fiancée, and Ling Baozi is completely loyal to Huangfu Shou. Perhaps that kid has already taken action against the Huangfu Kingdom, and no one knows about it, including the two of them.”

”Youʼre right, Xiong Han.” Xiong Ningwu said to the old man. ”I think Zhang Fei had done something against the Huangfu Kingdom, especially against Huangfu Lian. Additionally, I suspect that Zhang Fei was the mastermind behind the destruction of the Alchemy Union in our kingdom, given the sudden opening of his shop and the fact that none of the cityʼs residents were informed prior to its opening.”

”Doesnʼt that mean he was intentionally using you and the others to destroy them, sister-in-law?”

Xiong Ningwu gave the old woman a helpless nod. ”At first, I didnʼt suspect that Zhang Fei was the culprit, Gan Ning. However, his offer and the people around him made me think that he deliberately lured us to Lian Jinshuʼs residence at that time.”

After discussing several other things, all the members of the Xiong Clan decided to join Zhang Feiʼs organization. However, Xiong Ningwu refrained from going directly to his shop, primarily because she was certain that he was still enjoying himself with Han Yuanzhi there.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [1] was already somewhere in the Zhou Kingdom, where Zhou Tong, Zhou Fang, and Zhou Hanling were waiting for him.

Zhang Fei [1] then approached Zhou Fenghu and Zhou Fanzhi, who had been unconscious since last night. Similar to the other three men, he enslaved Zhou Fenghu and Zhou Fanzhi. Immediately, he instructed the other three to return the two men to their respective places, ensuring Zhou Xiaochuan would not be suspicious. ”Now that everything is ready, I can start my next plan against the Zhou Emperor, and the Zhou Kingdom will be mine through Zhou Shenxin.”

[Master, you still have three gifts that you havenʼt opened.]

”Oh! Thatʼs right! Open them, Mei.”

[You obtained 1 Golden Auction Token.]

[You obtained 1 Lightning Essence Pendant.]

[You obtained 1 Yin-Yang Union Bed.]

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [1] immediately took all three items. ”This auction token must be the reward from my fourth shop, the pendant from the quest to visit the fifth kingdom, and the bed from my wedding with Qinʼer.”

[Golden Auction Token: Grants access to an elite auction in the Forgotten Land, where priceless treasures are up for sale.]

[Lightning Essence Pendant: Enhances the userʼs control over lightning techniques and increases their attack speed.]

[Yin-Yang Union Bed: The bed is a large and luxuriously crafted artifact designed for dual cultivation. It was created from Moonshadow Jade and Sunfire Gold, symbolizing yin and yang. Effect: Increase the amount of Yin and Yang Qi by twofold.]

Zhang Fei [1] let out a soft sigh after reading the description of the three. ”The forgotten land again! I have to ask Feng Yao about that place later! The pendant is suitable for lightning cultivators, and I will give it to Zhong Yan. The bed is not that big, and it will only fit two people at a time, so I will have to dual cultivate with them in turns. My cultivation will increase even faster if I combine its effect with the Heavenly Qi Convergence Array and the Qi Amplifier, and it will not be difficult to reach the Heaven Realm.”

[Not only your main harem members but also all your partnersʼ cultivation will rapidly improve if you dual cultivate with them on this bed, Master. In my opinion, it would be better if you used it with your clonesʼ partners, especially since you canʼt use harem sharing with them, which causes their cultivation to lag behind your main harem members.]

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Zhang Fei [1] immediately put the three of them back in the inventory and entered the training space. He then moved the bed to the portable mansion, where he began dual-cultivating with all his partners. However, he has to take turns with Feltia [2] and Zhang Fei [4], especially since the partners of both clones are still too weak compared to his main harem members.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] visited the Bai royal familyʼs residence in the Azure Sky Realm, where he received a warm welcome from four people.

”Why did you suddenly come here again? Do you need our help?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] did not waste his time and explained the purpose of his arrival to them, which surprised Linghu Yincheng and her three children. ”I have no problem if you want my Linghu Clan to join your organization, especially since you have helped us so much. However, you will not be able to persuade them by yourself, and you must bring me to them.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] remembered Han Yuanzhi saying that the Linghu Clan was only loyal to Linghu Yincheng, so he immediately agreed with that. ”The situation in the Nine Stars Realm is much safer now, and I have already placed someone by Huangfu Shouʼs side so I can monitor his movements easily. The Zhou Kingdom is also in my grasp, and I will take action against Zhou Xiaochuan soon. If you guys want, I can bring you all back there. However, you cannot stay in the Bai Kingdom, and you must stay in a location that his spies cannot detect.”

”Hmm?” Linghu Yincheng contemplated where she and her children should reside. ”There is an inhabited island far in the middle of the Western Ocean, and my ancestor has built the island as a place to escape if our clan encounters serious problems. I think Huangfu Shou doesnʼt know about it, so we can live there for a while.”

”In that case, you guys can pack up now, and Iʼll take you all there.” Linghu Yincheng promptly led her three children in packing their limited belongings. Once they finished packing, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately brought them to the island in the Nine Stars Realm, where a large residence stood. ”Where does your Linghu Clan live now?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately looked for the location after Linghu Yincheng told him. She also gave him the clan plaque. ”You can show it to Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei, and you can bring them here afterward.”

”All right, you guys can clean up this residence, and Iʼll be back soon.”

After Zhang Xiaolong [3] disappeared, Linghu Yincheng led her three children to clean up their temporary residence. However, Bai Shouyi continued to look gloomy, especially since he did not greet or speak to her.

Sometime later, Zhang Xiaolong [3] arrived at the location previously indicated by Linghu Yincheng, only to find a shabby house. Using the map, he discovered a large group of people hiding underground, directly linked to the shabby house.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately landed in front of the shabby house, but a young man appeared in front of him and stopped him. ”Who are you? What business do you have here?”

”I came here looking for Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then showed the Linghu Clanʼs plaque to the young man, causing him to stare at him in vigilance. ”I know your thoughts, but I am not Huangfu Shouʼs subordinate. Instead, I came here because of your leader and his three children, and I want to bring the two of them to meet him.”

”Braggart! I donʼt believe you!” The young man shouted as he drew his sword, but a powerful aura immediately forced him to kneel on the ground. ”What?”

The young man felt a chill down his spine when Shang Yumei appeared behind him. Zhang Xiaolong [3] knew that the people of the Linghu Clan would not simply believe him, given that no one was aware that Linghu Yincheng had already escaped Huangfu Shouʼs control.

Moreover, the people from the Linghu Clan were too powerful, so Zhang Xiaolong [3] contacted Shang Yumei to help him. She then strangled the young manʼs neck and coldly spoke. ”Do you want to die, brat? My husband came here with good intentions, but you want to attack him instead.”

”Mercy!” Two old people shouted as they walked out of the shabby house, especially after they sensed Shang Yumeiʼs powerful aura and killing intent.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately read the identities of the two people in the system, and they were the people he was looking for: Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei. ”Let him go, Yumei.”

Shang Yumei did not argue with Zhang Xiaolong [3] and instead let go of the young man directly. She then stood beside him and fiercely glared at Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei. ”I came here because of your leader, and I want to take you both to meet her now.”

ʼWho are these two? This kid is too weak, but his wife is much stronger than all the cultivators in this realm.ʼ Both people wondered in their hearts.

Linghu Xiaoting first helped the young man up and took the Linghu Clan plaque from his hand. After she examined the plaque, she immediately spoke to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Please take us to her.”

”Yumei, you can return to the Bai royal capital, and I will meet Bai Zizhen and the other clans after this.” After Shang Yumei left, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately enveloped Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei with his aura, taking them away from that place.

The young man let out a heavy but relieved sigh. ”That woman is truly terrifying! I have never felt that my death was so near before.”

Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei froze in place once they arrived on the island, and both of them stared at Zhang Xiaolong [3] in shock, considering the distance between the two locations was too far.

Soon, Linghu Yincheng and her three children walked out of the residence. Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei trembled with excitement after seeing them, but they immediately knelt on one knee. ”Empress! Youʼre finally back.”

”Please get up, Uncle Shiwei and Aunt Xiaoting.” Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei immediately followed Linghu Yinchengʼs order. ”You two must be wondering how I was able to break free from Huangfu Shouʼs control, right? Zhang Fei is Princess Xian Xianqinʼs husband, and he was the one who freed me from her control. He was also the one who saved my three children from him, enabling us to gather here today.”

Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei are shocked after learning Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs identity as Xian Xianqinʼs husband. ”Prince—”

”Xian Xianqin is indeed my wife, but I am not a prince, and I am just a rogue cultivator.” Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs answer confused the two, but he then turned to Linghu Yincheng. ”Tell them now, and Iʼll handle my other business after this.”

Linghu Yincheng immediately explained the situation to Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei. ”Zhang Fei is our savior, so I decided to accept his offer. From today onwards, our Linghu Clan will be part of his organization. Unfortunately, we cannot return to our kingdom now, so I want you two to inform the others about this matter, and they must follow his orders.”

Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei exchanged glances before nodding to Linghu Yincheng. ”Since you have decided so, we will return and explain everything to the others. But how can we contact you, young master?”

”If you are looking for me, you can go to the Sky Jade Shop in the Bai Royal Capital to meet my two wives, and I will come directly to you.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then spoke to Linghu Yincheng. ”Since my business here is finished, I will return to that realm.”

”All right.” Linghu Yincheng nodded at him.

Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei were shocked when the gate opened before their eyes. Zhang Xiaolong [3] first looked at Bai Shouyi, but he didnʼt say anything to her and disappeared into the gate directly.

After Zhang Xiaolong [3] left, Linghu Xiaoting asked Linghu Yincheng. ”Empress, could you please explain to us why he helped you?”

Linghu Yincheng invited Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei to sit with her and her three children. Bai Chongxi explained to them, starting with their encounter with Zhang Fei at the Star Tower.

After they had talked enough, Linghu Xiaoting and Linghu Shiwei immediately returned to their hiding place to inform their clan members about Linghu Yinchengʼs decision to join Zhang Feiʼs organization.

Linghu Yincheng then looked at her daughter and caressed her head. ”I know you want to talk to Zhang Fei, but he is still busy taking care of many things right now. I hope you can be patient and wait for him to have some free time.”

”I know, mother.” Bai Shouyi replied with a nod, but she still felt sad in her heart.

After he satisfied Han Yuanzhi with a round of dual cultivation, Zhang Fei immediately asked the two women to get dressed. However, Ling Long had a sullen face. ”You donʼt have to act like this, okay? Arenʼt you afraid to do that?”

”Yeah.” Ling Long didnʼt deny it. ”Iʼm still afraid to do that kind of thing, but Zhang Lin and the others have told me that itʼs not painful, so I want to try it with you.”

Zhang Fei smiled and pinched Ling Longʼs cheeks. ”Naturally, I wonʼt cause you pain, so you donʼt need to be afraid anymore, and you will definitely enjoy it later.”

”Hehehe.” Ling Long giggled and hugged Zhang Feiʼs arm. ”In that case, letʼs meet those clans now, and we will enter into seclusion afterward.”
