Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 547: Xian Lianghua

Meanwhile, Yun Shang and Guo Xuehua were standing behind a middle-aged man, Yun Yishan, the sect master of the Yun Imperial Sect, who was giving instructions to dozens of disciples.

Although he was the Emperor of the Yun Kingdom, Yun Shang was never directly involved in the affairs of the Yun Imperial Sect; instead, Yun Yishan handled all matters. ”I understand that many of you are eager to pass all the first-floor tests, but I urge you not to push yourself too hard, as you are the future of this sect and kingdom. All of you are still very young, and your chances of challenging the Star Tower are still very long, so you guys must know when to advance and when to retreat, or else you will all face the repercussions of the backlash of your failures, which will be detrimental to yourselves. Do you all understand?”

”Yes, Sect Master Yun!” All the disciples answered in unison.

”Youʼll lead them to the Star Tower, but you must stay vigilant to protect them, especially since the other three kingdoms will send their people there.” The elders nodded to Yun Yishan. ”Huangfu Shou has openly shown his intention to annex our kingdom, so Iʼm sure he will order his sons or daughters to do something against Yun Qihong and Yun Xinyue, and he might also send some of his aides to smooth his plans. If that happens, you guys must use all means to save them, including your lives.”

”Leave it to us, Sect Master. We will definitely protect our prince and princess well.” All the elders answered with solemn nods.

Yun Yishan nodded slightly before turning to Yun Shang and Guo Xuehua, who immediately moved in front of their children, Yun Qihong and Yun Xinyue.

Yun Qinghaoʼs face was similar to Yun Shangʼs, and his appearance was similar to that of a scholar, just like his father. His figure was quite tall and slender, and he wore plain white clothes embroidered with clouds.

Yun Xinyueʼs face is more of a combination of Yun Shang and Guo Xuehua. She wore a long white dress and a light blue silk belt around her waist, showcasing her perfectly curved body. She was like a clean white sheet of paper. Even without any makeup, her beauty doesnʼt have a single flaw. Her long black hair was silky smooth, falling to her shoulder. She had eyes as clear as the purest water, perfect upcurved lips, and one of the biggest chests among the female disciples.

Gu Xuehua spoke directly to her children, but she talked to them via voice transmission. ʼOnce you two arrive at the Star Tower, I want you to join Xianwu and Xianqin. I believe you two will be safe by their side, especially with Zhang Fei by their side.ʼ

ʼZhang Fei?ʼ Yun Qinghao and Yun Xinyue exchanged confused glances, as they had never heard of him. ʼWho is he, Mother?ʼ

Gu Xuehua immediately touched their foreheads and shared Zhang Feiʼs description, which surprised them due to his young age. ʼYour father and I have only met him once, but I can assure you that he is no ordinary cultivator, and he can protect you both. Even Brother Feng and Sister Qingzhuang have high confidence in him, and they want to draw him to their side.ʼ

ʼYour mother is right.ʼ Yun Qinghao and Yun Xinyue immediately looked at their father. ʼAlthough Zhang Feiʼs cultivation is still at the 1-Star Earth Realm, his raw strength has already surpassed many cultivators, and he can even knock Brother Feng back with a single punch. His cultivation is far below the two of you, but he has mastered the laws of light, wind, and fire elements. His speed is even more remarkable; even if I use my best speed, I still wonʼt be able to catch up with him. Thatʼs why you shouldnʼt doubt him, and you will be safe as long as you can build a good relationship with him.ʼ

Yun Qinghao and Yun Xinyue were stunned for a long time after listening to their father, but they knew that he rarely praised others, so they chose to believe him. ʼAll right, we will follow your instructions, and we will try to build a good relationship with Zhang Fei.ʼ

Yun Shang and Gu Xuehua nodded in satisfaction with the answer. ”You all can depart now, and you just need to try your best. You shouldnʼt feel disheartened if you fail this time, and you should work harder to challenge the tower in the future.”

”Yes, Emperor!”

After that, the elders immediately led them to leave the Yun Imperial Sect using a large flying artifact, and all of them looked impatient to challenge the tower.

”What do you think will happen in the tower, Second Brother and sister-in-law? Do you think Huangfu Shou will order his children to do something to them openly?” Yun Yishan suddenly asked Yun Shang and Guo Xuehua.

”Yes.” Yun Shang nodded to his little brother. ”Unlike us, Huangfu Shou is a maniac, and he will not hesitate to sacrifice anyone to fulfill his sky-high ambitions, including sacrificing his children. He probably told them to attack my and brother Fengʼs children, but I donʼt know which ones will go to the tower.”

”I think he will send Huangfu Lian and Huangfu Xiaofan, especially since Huang Xiaogang is more focused on military affairs.” Both men nodded in agreement with Guo Xuehua. ”However, he might also send his other children, especially since he is growing impatient to take over our kingdom and the Xian Kingdom.”

”Have you ordered those old folks to protect Qihong and Xinyue from behind, Second Brother?”

Once again, Yun Shang nodded to his little brother. ”Two of them have been in the Star Tower for the past few days, and I asked them to make sure that the situation there is safe before our children arrive there. The other two will follow behind their entourage, and I asked them to bring them back immediately if there are any changes in the situation there.”

”I see.” Yun Yishan was slightly relieved after hearing that. ”However, the situation might get complicated because the Bai Kingdom is on Huangfu Shouʼs side now, and Bai Yaowei will definitely order his children to help them. Moreover, Zhou Xiaochuanʼs relationship with the two demon kingdoms is also worrying, and Iʼm afraid the situation in the tower will become even more chaotic this time.”

Yun Shang exhaled heavily in response to that. ”Iʼm not overly concerned about the demons under Ximen Changtian, but the demons under Ximen Gongfu pose a significant threat and could potentially cause chaos in the tower. However, the kingdoms of the beasts and natural races will also send their representatives to the tower. Iʼm sure they wonʼt dare to act openly with their presence, but we canʼt underestimate their emperorʼs ambition, especially since we canʼt predict his plot.”

”Donʼt worry, Iʼm sure our children will be safe.” Guo Xuehua expressed this while embracing her husbandʼs arm. ”The seniors of my Guo Clan have also moved to the Star Tower, and I ask them to focus on protecting our children.”

”Brother, we will return to the royal palace now.” Yun Shang said to his little brother, and he immediately took his wife away from the sect.

Not long after the group from the Yu Kingdom departed, several flying artifacts also left the Bai and Zhou kingdoms, and their destination was the Star Tower.

Meanwhile, in the Beast Kingdom, Long Huang and Long Baiyun stood side by side above their palace, looking at several flying artifacts that were rapidly flying away from their kingdom. Unlike the Yun and Xian Emperors, neither of them looked worried in the slightest, and they fully believed that their children would be fine in the Star Tower.

”What did you previously say to our two sons?” Long Baiyun suddenly asked her husband.

”Haha.” Long Huang laughed before telling her. ”I asked Chenʼer and Tianʼer to test that kidʼs abilities, and I asked them to use all their abilities in doing so.”

”Hmm?” Long Baiyun raised his eyebrows. ”Arenʼt you afraid that kid will die at the hands of our sons?”

”You underestimate that kid too much, wife.” Long Huang replied with a shake of his head. ”Chenʼerʼs cultivation has reached 3-Moon Divine Transcend, and Tianʼerʼs has reached 1-Moon Divine Transcend. However, they may not be able to defeat him, especially since he has four elements and he has mastered the laws of three of them. Moreover, a heavenly fox has an innate ability, which is related to the space element. I believe it will not be easy for them to defeat him, let alone kill him.”

Long Baiyun let out a soft sigh and looked far away. ”Do you think those demons will target our sons? Ximen Changtian may not do anything, but Iʼm sure Ximen Gongfu has already sent the demons under him to the tower, and he may have ordered them to capture our sons.”

”Heh!” Long Huang snorted coldly. ”If that guy dares to send the demons under him to attack our sons, I will go straight to the dark demon kingdom, and I will teach Ximen Gongfu a severe lesson that he will never forget for the rest of his life. However, I believe he will not do that, and his target should be the children of those humans, so you donʼt have to worry about our sons. Not to mention, Xiao Lianghua also sent many members of the natural races there, and those heretics will not dare to move openly.”

”I hope youʼre right about that.” Long Baiyun replied with a slight nod.

At the top of a tall and large tree, several people from different races stood side by side while looking at flying artifacts speeding toward the center of their realm, where the Star Tower was located.

In front of them, a man with an appearance of about 30 years old stood straight with both hands behind him, and his long black hair kept dancing in the wind. Even though his expression looked serious, a calming and cool aura radiated from his body. Black and red clothes cover his tall figure, his slanted eyes feature two green pupils, and his ears point at the tips.

At the manʼs side stood a woman around 25 years old with long bluish-white hair and skin as white as snow. She had a charming oval face and an elegant appearance in a light blue silk dress with white sleeves. Her light blue eyes were as clear as crystals, her ears looked attractive with pointed tips, and her heart-shaped lips were covered in a red rose color.

”Will they all be okay, Lianghua?” The woman asked in a melodic tone.

”Yes.” Xian Lianghua, the Emperor of the Natural Races, nodded in response. ”I know you are worried about them, Xue Jingling. I have provided them with various artifacts, some of which are capable of detecting the presence of those demons. I also sent the strongest elders to protect them, so Iʼm sure those heretics wouldnʼt be able to do anything to our people. The tower will be more chaotic than usual, and I expect a big battle between humans and demons, but Iʼve told them not to interfere in their affairs.”

”Our realm will never be peaceful as long as those demons exist, but we canʼt get rid of them, especially since most are strong.” Xue Jingling then turned to the east. ”Those humans, particularly Huangfu Shou, are no different from them, and his ambition to dominate others is truly frightening. He even succeeded in taking over the Bai Kingdom without the other emperors knowing, and he will probably succeed in taking over the Xian and Yun kingdoms soon. Regarding the Zhou kingdom, the true intentions of Zhou Xiaochuan remain unclear, but itʼs possible that he is already under the influence of demons.”

”Just let the humans mind their own business, and we donʼt need to interfere in their affairs.” Xian Linghuaʼs expression suddenly turned serious. ”We natural races are a peace-loving race, but I will not remain silent if they threaten our safety. If they dare to attack our kingdom, I will immediately lead the others to wipe out their kingdoms, and we will drive them out of our realm.”

After Xian Linghuaʼs statement, the people behind him appeared excited. However, a short and stocky man suddenly asked him a few questions. ”Emperor, what are we going to do with those foreigners? Are we going to let them live in our kingdom? They appear to be planning to open a shop in Lunaris Town, but Iʼve instructed my people to stop them.”

”Ren Zhu, they are indeed foreigners, but they are still natural races like us, so you donʼt need to stop them and let them set up their shop.” Xian Linghua then looked towards the southeast. ”Moreover, their leader is quite interesting, and I canʼt wait for him to come to our kingdom.”

”Emperor, please forgive me if I am being presumptuous, but who exactly is their leader? What is his reason for sending them to our kingdom?” A young woman with long red hair asked.

Xian Lianghua gave a faint smile before sharing the information with them. ”Their leader is actually a human, and he is still very young, around 20 years old.”

”What?” The people behind him screamed in shock. ”Then, we must-”

”No need.” Xian Lianghua interrupted them with a shake of his head. ”That kid is indeed a human, but he is also a beast and a demon. Thatʼs why I canʼt wait for his arrival, and I believe that he will be the key to bringing peace to our realm.”

”A human, a beast, a beast? How is that possible, Emperor?”

Xian Lianghua released a soft sigh before answering them. ”I donʼt know how he can have three forms at once, and his beast form is not an ordinary beast but a heavenly fox.”

”A heavenly fox?”

”Yes.” Xian Lianghua then told them about something. ”According to the legend, there was a fox with ten tails that lived in ancient times, and the heavenly fox was his direct descendant. The ten-tailed fox is the protector of the natural races, and he has helped our races from all realms a lot. Thatʼs why Iʼm not surprised if those foreigners are willing to obey him, and they are clearly loyal to him.”

”Is the ten-tailed fox still alive, Emperor? So far, I have only met the nine-tailed fox, but I have never met the ten-tailed one.”

”The ten-tailed fox died long ago, Shu Yao.” The red-haired woman and the others looked shocked by Xian Lianghuaʼs answer. ”He is actually very strong, and his strength is equal to or even exceeds that of other mythical beasts. However, he suddenly disappeared, and no one knows how he died. After his death, a new fox race emerged, which is the heavenly fox race. Currently, they live on one of the planets in the upper realm, which is the Heavenly Moon Realm.”

”The upper realms?” They were even more shocked after hearing that. ”If they live in the upper realms, then why did he come to this realm? Isnʼt that a loss for him?”

”Haha.” Xian Lianghua laughed. ”Lei Ting, that kid didnʼt come from the upper realms but the lower realms, so itʼs not surprising that he came to this realm, especially since our realm is in the lower realms. Anyway, you guys donʼt need to worry about him. Weʼll find out everything when he visits our kingdom, but I donʼt think that will happen anytime soon, so weʼll have to wait for him.”

After that, they immediately dispersed and returned to their respective places, but Xian Lianghua and Xue Jingling remained there. ”What do you think was his purpose in coming to our realm, husband?”

”I donʼt know.” Xian Linghua turned toward Cyanwood Mountain. ”He has four elements, so I suspect that the reason he came to our realm was the item on the mountain peak, but it is not a trivial matter to go there. Even Lei Ting, with her high understanding of the lightning law, cannot get close to it. He will only die horribly if he forces himself to go there, so I will never allow him to go there.”

Xue Jingling nodded in agreement with her husband. ”My cultivation is becoming increasingly unstable, and I think I will break through to 5-Moon soon.”

”Letʼs go back now, and Iʼll help you to break through.”
