Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 545: Meet Morgana And Feng Yao

(A/N: I changed Morlock to Xereth.)

As soon as he arrived at his restaurant, Zhang Fei immediately took all his wives who were in the capital back to their residence. He first sent Wang Zhetian, Dou Luotian, Wang Xiaofeng, and Wang Zhuxian back to earth at their request. After that, he took all his wives, including Mu Lingshu, into the training space for a week of seclusion.

Zhang Feiʼs first clone also immediately entered the training space to enter seclusion with all his partners, especially since he also wanted to test their skills at the Star Tower, particularly at the stone obelisk.

Meanwhile, Feltia [2] traveled to the Diyu Realm to meet Morgana, mainly because he wanted to know Xerethʼs background and his reasons for slaughtering the family of the forger of the demon extermination sword.

”Oh? I thought you wouldnʼt come back to this realm.” Morgana uttered those words as soon as Feltia [2] appeared before her and Oz the First.

Feltia [2] immediately asked. ”Do you know anything about Xereth?”

”Hmm?” Feltia [2]ʼs question surprised Morgana. ”Where did you hear that name? Have you met him before?”

”No.” Feltia [2] replied with a shake of his head. ”Iʼve only heard his name, but Iʼve never met him. Who is he really?”

Morgana released a heavy sigh before telling him, ”Xereth was a traitor to our realm, and he killed our fourth demon emperor. It happened about ten thousand years ago, and we havenʼt seen him since then. I donʼt know what really happened to him, but he was one of the senior demons in our realm. He was powerful, and our current demon emperor was not his match. His cultivation should have reached the divine ascension, so you should run away immediately if you meet him, or else youʼll die at his hands.”

”Ten thousand years ago, huh?” Feltia [2] muttered to himself as he thought that the demon extermination sword should be that old. ”Why does he target humans?”

Morgana shook her head at him. ”I only know that Xereth and the senior demons of his generation really hate humans, but they have never attacked them before. Moreover, he has been missing for too long, so I canʼt confirm the reason he attacked them.”

”I see.” Feltia [2] glanced at Oz the First for a moment, but he could see that he still hadnʼt regained his memories. ”In that case, Iʼll go meet someone else, and he might know Xerethʼs reason for attacking humans.”

After Feltia [2] disappeared, Oz the First immediately asked his wife, ”Is Xereth really that strong?”

”Yes.” Morgana nodded to her husband. ”Not only Xereth, but the five demons of his generation are also powerful. However, they are different from him, and they are completely loyal to our demon emperorʼs lineage.”

”If their strength is not inferior to his, why didnʼt they stop Xereth from killing the fourth demon emperor?”

Morgana shrugged in response. ”They are too old for me to understand their way of thinking. However, they have sworn to protect our current demon emperor, and they will do anything to do so, including sacrificing their lives. Anyway, you donʼt need to think about that guy, and you should focus on getting your memories back. Once you get them back, Iʼll help you open the lock on that soul.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.”

Meanwhile, Feltia [2] had already arrived at the central region of the Sky Jade Realm, and he immediately contacted Feng Yao.

A while later, Feng Yao had already arrived in front of him, and Feltia [2] immediately asked her about Xereth. ”I donʼt know where you heard about him, but you must be careful of him and run away if you meet him.”

”What exactly is his reason for slaughtering humans?”

”I donʼt know Xerethʼs reasons, but my parents said that he was someoneʼs puppet.” Feltia [2] raised an eyebrow at Feng Yaoʼs response. ”He once tried to invade my Phoenix realm, but he was no match for my parents and our race members, and they managed to injure him heavily. However, they did not know the identity of the person behind him, and they suspected that the person was a cultivator from higher realms, especially since he also tried to attack the other realms, including the Heavenly Moon Realm.”

”Higher realms?”

Feng Yao nodded to Feltia [2]. ”According to my father, there are other realms beyond the upper realms, but we donʼt have much information about them yet. We canʼt go there using flying artifacts like we usually do in the lower, middle, and upper realms. He guessed that the only way to get there was to transcend the seven divine realms, but no one has ever managed to do so, and the highest cultivation in the upper realms currently only reaches the 2-Moon Divine Ascension Realm.”

”I see.” Feltia [2] nodded in understanding before asking again. ”Do you know anything about the Starry Sky Realm?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao immediately told him. ”The Starry Sky Realm used to be a gathering place for the best blacksmiths in this universe, but they abandoned that realm and moved to the Xianjin Realm. No humans lived there anymore, and it was filled with beasts of various types. Some mythical beasts, such as dragons, vermilion birds, and others, founded their branch clans there.”

Feltia [2] was interested in going to the Starry Sky Realm after hearing that, but he immediately threw away the idea because his abilities were not yet sufficient to go there.

”So, howʼs your life in the Nine Stars Realm? Have you caused any trouble there?”

”Do you think I like to cause trouble?” Feltia [2] then told Feng Yao. ”Your guess is right; Iʼve encountered some troubles in that realm. A representative from the Alchemy Union is targeting Lingxue, and it was my fault because I didnʼt know anything about that organization. I purchased quite a lot of herbs from their shop, and many of them were high-ranking. The shop owner wanted her to join his organization, but I refused him. Thatʼs why he sent two guards from that organization, but Iʼve already dealt with them, and theyʼre on my side now. However, Iʼm sure that he wonʼt stop, and he might send more people to disturb us.”

Feng Yao was not too surprised by this. ”The Alchemy Union is indeed arrogant, and they control the alchemy market in the entire middle realms. Their leader is too confident and overconfident about his abilities. He once tried to expand his organization to the upper realms, but the alchemists there beat him so badly that he didnʼt dare to set foot there again. Anyway, people from my realm will be arriving here in two weeks, so you need to bring Zhang Yue back by then.”

”All right, I will bring my big sister here in two weeks.” After that, Feltia [2] immediately returned to the Nine Stars Realm and went to the Xian Imperial Sect, especially since Zhang Fei had already said that he would spend a week there to consolidate their teamwork before going to the Star Realm.

Immediately after Feltia [2] left, Feng Yao took out her interspatial communication device and contacted someone to go to the Alchemist Union headquarters. ”That old bastard, how dare he target my sister? I must teach him a lesson for that, or else he will continue to be arrogant.”

Inside the inn, a middle-aged man kneeled on one knee in front of Huangfu Lian. ”How did it go, Huangfu Bo? Did you manage to find that bratʼs residence?”

”I couldnʼt find his residence, first prince.” Huangfu Lian immediately frowned, so Huangfu Bo hurriedly explained everything to him. ”If my guess is right, that brat has the space element, or else he wouldnʼt have been able to disappear just like that.”

”What about all the women in the restaurant? Are they still there?”

”Yes.” Huangfu Bo answered with a nod. ”They live in that restaurant, but Old Wen keeps protecting them. We canʼt do anything about them, or weʼll face the Xian royal family. Prince, your father contacted me after learning that Chao Yuanfeng planned to send all his disciples, including Xian Xianwu and Xian Xianqin, to the Star Tower. Thatʼs why he asked you to come back today, and he wants you to lead our people to that tower to do something about them.”

Huangfu Lian didnʼt care about Xian Xianwu or Chao Yuanfengʼs other male disciples, but he was eager to get Xian Xianqin and his other female disciples. ”All right, we will return to our kingdom right now, and I will bring our best people to capture that princess and her friends.”

”Prince.” Huangfu Lian immediately turned to his two women. ”Since you want to go to the tower, and our strength is not enough to challenge it, Qingying and I will return to our sect. After you return, we will accompany you again.”

Huangfu Lian nodded to them and retrieved his returning jade. He then looked at Huang Bo, who also immediately took out his jade. The moment they crushed it, the two of them vanished from the room, leaving the two women feeling relieved.

”So, how should we look for that guy?”

”Isnʼt that easy?” Gu Hanshuang then lay down on the bed. ”He owns that restaurant; we can look for him there. However, itʼs already nighttime, so we should rest first before meeting him tomorrow morning.”

Dan Qingying nodded in agreement and lay down beside her friend. ”What do you think is his reason for doing such things to us? We donʼt even know each other, so I feel strange about that.”

”I donʼt know, and weʼll find out when we see him tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Feltia [2] had already arrived at the Xian Imperial Sect, where he was engaged in conversation with Chao Yuanfengʼs male disciples, including Xian Xianwu. They explained the survival challenge test to him, especially since the tests they had faced in the past were different. ”Does that mean we will face a different test?”

”That might happen.” Xian Xianwu replied with a nod. ”The purpose of the survival challenge is to reach the deepest area before time runs out, but we also need to overcome all the obstacles that hinder us in each area. The most challenging obstacle is the riddle, as it presents numerous random questions that are difficult to understand. If one of us fails, then the whole team will fail.”

Feltia [2] nodded in understanding. ”Can we help the others solve their riddles?”

”We can do it, but we must first solve our riddles, which is difficult.” Ying Shanhu then pointed to a male disciple. ”Yu Chongming is the smartest among us, but he always has difficulty solving his riddles, so we canʼt expect too much help from others, and we have to try hard to solve our riddles ourselves.”

Yu Chongming immediately looked at Feltia [2] and told him about the most problematic riddle he ever got. ”It took me a whole week to solve it, but we failed because Hang Chi couldnʼt solve his riddle.”

”Haha.” Huang Chi laughed as he rubbed his head. ”Brother Yu, I tried hard to solve my riddle back then, but I couldnʼt figure it out at all.”

Yu Chongming shakes his head. ”If only you read more literature about cultivation, you should be able to solve such an easy riddle. Unfortunately, you are too lazy, and you think that muscles are better than the mind.”

”Hahaha!” Another male disciple suddenly laughed out loud. ”Brother Yu, your words are sharp as usual, but I support you that Brother Huang places too much importance on his muscles over his brain, so he is the stupidest among us.”

Huang Chi folded his forehead before shouting at him. ”Hey, Xuan Wuji! I wonʼt help you if we meet those powerful beast hordes again! Iʼm not as smart as you or Brother Yu, but Iʼm still stronger than you. If I didnʼt help deal with them back then, we would have failed from the start!”

Xuan Wuji immediately covered his mouth as he glanced at his other sect brothers, but all of them shook their heads in response, including Ximen Chuixue. ʼTch! Theyʼre not loyal friends!ʼ

Another male disciple named Xi Shen suddenly spoke to them. ”All right, we should take a rest now, and we will focus on strengthening our cooperation in the next week. Since Zhang Fei is our new member, we should help him integrate with our group, and I hope we can pass the first floor this time.”

All of them, with the exception of Ximen Chuixue, agreed with Xi Shen and hurried back to their respective rooms. He then asked Feltia [2] to go with him before asking. ”Do you have any questions for me? Previously, you looked at me with a strange gaze, so I thought you had questions for me.”

”Why did you join this sect?” Feltia [2]ʼs question confused Ximen Chuixue. ”You might be able to hide it from Senior Yuanfeng and the others, but I can tell your true identity.”

Ximen Chuixue shook his head at Feltia [2]. ”You are a little wrong about that, especially since I did not hide my identity from my master. Instead, he brought me into this sect, and he helped me hide my identity from them. He found me nearly dead when I was still very young, but he saved me and brought me here. Since then, Iʼve been living in this sect, and he taught me about cultivation.”

”Oh?” Feltia [2] was surprised by Ximen Chuixueʼs confession.

”You are right. I am a demon, and I am part of the Ximen Clan. However, I am no longer part of them, and I live for myself. In fact, I want to kill Ximen Gongfu and Ximen Changtian, especially since they were the cause of my parentsʼ deaths.” Ximen Chuixue then faced Feltia [2]. ”How did you find out my identity? I have lived in this sect for decades, but no one has been able to find out my identity, including Emperor Xian.”

”I can distinguish each personʼs Qi, so I can tell your darkness element, no matter how well you hide it.” Ximen Chuixue raised his eyebrows in disbelief. ”There are indeed many humans born with the darkness element, but theirs is different from the demon, so I immediately knew that you were a demon.”

”Youʼre a terrible young man, donʼt you realize?” Ximen Chuixue sighed softly. ”Even though Iʼm a demon, I really like them. Iʼve treated them as my real brothers and sisters, and I donʼt want to lose them, so I hope youʼll keep my secret to yourself.”

Feltia [2] nodded to him. ”Does anyone else know your identity?”

”Yuan Luo has long known that I am a demon.” Ximen Chuixue sighed softly before continuing. ”I am a moon demon, and I will return to my true form during the full moon. Back then, she accidentally saw me transform into my demon form, and she was frightened by me. However, we both loved each other, so she slowly tried to accept my true identity. Unfortunately, our relationship is still stuck at this stage, and we donʼt dare to take any further steps, especially since her parents may not be able to accept my identity. Do you hate demons?”

”Why should I hate demons?” Feltia [2] asked back. ”Not all demons are evil, and I know many good demons. Just like other living beings, many demons merely want a peaceful life for their races. However, due to past events, other living beings have come to hate them and have always regarded them as evil creatures.”

Ximen Chuixue nodded to him. ”I only want to have a peaceful life, but people will hate me once they know my identity and immediately hunt me down. Thatʼs why I havenʼt thought about going further with Yuan Luo. Otherwise, she would be forced to share their hatred towards me, and I donʼt want her to go through that.”

”Well-”

”Zhang Fei.” They immediately turned to the woman, and they saw Bai Tianʼer walking towards them, so Ximen Chuixue swiftly left Feltia [2]. ”Can I talk to you?”
