Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 540: Xian Xianqinʼs Invitation

Early in the morning, Zhang Fei had already used up three-quarters of the thunderstrike alloys that Gang Zhishou had given him, and he finally managed to forge his first weapon according to his wishes. Since the materials were low-rank, the sword was only a mortal-grade weapon.

Zhang Fei was satisfied with it, especially since it marked his status as a beginner blacksmith. Based on Gang Zhishouʼs explanation, blacksmiths only have seven ranks: beginner, spirit, master, grandmaster, saint, divine, and supreme.

A beginner-rank blacksmith is capable of forging equipment in the mortal grade, and they can progress to the spirit rank after successfully forging their first spirit-grade equipment. However, forging equipment at that rank is not easy. Blacksmiths at the master and grandmaster ranks are capable of crafting equipment of the earth and heaven ranks. A saint rank is a blacksmith who can forge low-rank celestial to low-rank divine equipment, and those who succeed in crafting mid-grade to high-grade equipment are divine-rank blacksmiths.

Gang Zhishou had never met a supreme-rank blacksmith because the highest rank in the middle realms was only a divine rank, and only one person had reached it: the leader of the blacksmith union. Even his master, Duan Zhao, is only a saint-rank blacksmith. Meanwhile, his blacksmith rank is only at grandmaster rank.

”Are you satisfied with the results?” Liu Hua asked as she and several other women approached Zhang Fei.

”The result is satisfactory, but this sword is only a mortal grade, so itʼs useless.” Zhang Fei immediately handed the sword to Liu Hua. ”This is enough for me to practice my blacksmithing skills, and I will try to forge other equipment later, but I have to meet Old Gang first to get the materials first.”

Liu Qingyu then asked him. ”Why donʼt you build another blacksmith workshop in the training space?”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei pulled Liu Qingyu into a hug. ”Old Gang is kind and willing to teach me about blacksmithing, but I am still unfamiliar with his character, so I did not bring him there. After this, I will bring Huaʼer to the capital and buy materials to build another blacksmith workshop in the training space so I can get more used to forge equipment.”

”Husband, we will join you because we are bored of staying here and want to explore the capital.”

Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows at Zhang Lingxueʼs words, but his other wives also looked eager to go to the capital. They have been staying in the training space ever since they left for the Nine Stars Realm, and they have been in seclusion since they arrived in the realm. Even after their residence was completed, they had not gone anywhere and focused on their training, so they wanted to refresh their minds. ”I will take all of you to the capital, but I wonʼt be accompanying you, so please exercise caution. Lian Jinshu is still pursuing me, and he has even instructed Huan Ya to use the scarlet blossom pill on me in an attempt to seduce me.

Instead, they laughed after hearing that, but Shen Xueyi then spoke. ”Lian Jinshu is such an idiot to send a woman to you; he doesnʼt even know your identity as a lust demon lord. Even though Huan Yaʼs cultivation is in the quasi-divine realm, I believe you will have no difficulty subduing her.”

Zhang Fei smiled at that. ”To be honest, I used my enhanced demon charm on Huan Ya when she and Lian Jinshu visited the restaurant, and Iʼm sure the effects are still lingering in her mind. Thatʼs why Iʼm going to walk around by myself to lure her to come to me, and Iʼll use her to destroy that old man, including his family.”

Shen Yu and the others were unsurprised that Zhang Fei had targeted Lian Jinshuʼs family, as he had previously dispatched Situ Yi to capture Zhang Lingxue. Moreover, their husband is not forgiving and will never forgive anyone who targets them. ”You must clean yourself up now, and we will go to the capital after.”

They arrived at the capital, but Zhang Fei did not bring all his wives from Earth and the two Dryads. He asked them to train to fight beasts with the disciples of both sects.

Senior cultivators like Shen Huang, Shen Xinya, Zhang Long, Yang Yudie, Zieʼer, Liu Rong, and Liu Ming accompanied them to train in the forest.

Zhang Fei [1] and Feltia [2] summoned their respective partners out of the training space, especially since most of them still lacked the experience to fight as cultivators, such as the demons from the Diyu Realm. However, their group did not join the other group; instead, they trained in another forest, especially since the previous forest was already crowded, with Zhang Feiʼs main harem and those disciples training there.

As for Zhang Wuji and Yan Zhixiu, Zhang Fei sent them to the Netherworld Realm because they had spent a long time in the Nine Stars Realm and needed the demon aura there to increase their demon rank.

According to their plan, the women looked around the capital area in several groups. Liu Qingyu left with Chu Ying, Chu Xing, Chu Qing, and Wei Luan. Zhang Lingxue left with three other women: Ye Lian, Zhao Ziqin, and Zhang Xiaoling. Shen Xueyi and Shen Yu left together to see another area first. Meanwhile, Boitata was too lazy to look around the capital, so she joined Liu Hua and went to their restaurant.

Their presence attracted the attention of the capitalʼs residents, especially the men. Many admired them from afar, but others tried to approach them because of their beauty. Naturally, they ignored them and maintained a cold attitude toward them, which caused some of them to become angry. However, they immediately ran away like frightened rabbits when they sensed several intense pressures pressing down on them, as they knew the owner of those pressures.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei leisurely walked toward the market district to buy materials to build another blacksmith workshop. His gaze never shifted from the map, and he kept watching the women. He found several names following their groups, such as Old Wen and Old Feng.

ʼXian Feng deliberately sent them to get my attention.ʼ Zhang Fei suddenly looked up and smiled at Xian Xianqin, who was floating down toward him. ”Did you miss me, Princess?”

Even though they already knew about Zhang Feiʼs closeness to the royal family following the opening of his restaurant yesterday, the people around him continued to curse and mock him, believing that he was overconfident.

ʼThis guy is truly shameless! He already has many beautiful wives by his side, but he still tries to seduce me.ʼ Xian Xianqin then answered Zhang Fei. ”I came here wanting to offer you something, but Iʼm not sure youʼll be willing to accept it. It is related to the Star Tower, so I hope you can consider it first.”

The Star Tower caught Zhang Feiʼs interest. ”What is your offer?”

”Can you stop calling me a princess?” Xian Xianqinʼs question baffled the people around them. ”You can call me something else, especially since weʼve known each other for a while.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed and immediately grabbed Xian Xianqinʼs hand, leaving the onlookers gasping in shock. His next question made them ridicule him even more. ”What if I call you my darling?”

”You… you…” Xian Xianqin stuttered as red hues appeared on her cheeks, but she immediately pulled her hand back from Zhang Feiʼs grasp. ”Iʼm not your darling! You must address me as a princess forever!”

The onlookers exchanged confused glances after they saw Xian Xianqinʼs behavior, especially after they noticed the red hues on her cheeks. They had never seen her lose her cool like that before.

Zhang Fei just smiled in response to Xian Xianqinʼs behavior. ”Do you want me to join you?”

”Yes.” Xian Xianqin replied with a nod. ”We were planning to go to the tower in a week, and you were interested in going there, so I wanted to invite you to join us. We will go with our sect members, and I will take you to our sect if you are willing to join us.”

Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows because he had not decided to join any sect, and he could go there using his Nine Cloud Steps and teleportation. However, if he went there, he would meet too many powerful cultivators, so he needed strong backers to protect him, and the people of the Xian Imperial sect were his best choice. ”Do I have to join your sect for that?”

”No.” Xian Xianqin denied it with a shake of her head. ”My parents told us not to force you to join our sect, so you donʼt need to join us. I know you can go there with your abilities, but going there with us is much better than going there alone, right?”

Zhang Fei immediately agreed. ”Iʼll go with you, but I need to buy some materials first.”

”Do you want to build something else?” Xian Xianqin inquired.

Zhang Fei immediately told Xian Xianqin about his plan to build a blacksmith workshop. He then showed her the swords he had forged before, but she seemed uninterested in them since they were only mortal-grade. ”I know their quality is ordinary, but these swords are my first equipment, so Iʼm quite satisfied with successfully forging them. At least I have officially become a blacksmith now, and I will continue to improve my skills in forging equipment under the guidance of Old Gang so I can forge high-grade equipment in the future. After I succeed in forging one, I will forge a lot of equipment for them.”

Xian Xianqin stared at Zhang Fei for some time before releasing a sigh in her heart, as his talent made her feel extremely jealous. She already knew that he was an alchemist apprentice, a rank one array master, and he was now also a beginner blacksmith.

While walking towards the market district, they discussed various topics, particularly the Star Tower. However, Zhang Fei smiled faintly when he saw Huan Yaʼs name on his map, and he followed them at a distance.

Xian Xianqin frowned after Zhang Fei told her about Huan Yaʼs whereabouts, but he asked her not to pay attention to the female guard and to contact her fatherʼs subordinates, asking them not to stop the woman. ʼAre you sure you can face her alone? Her cultivation is on par with mine, and I heard she has a unique ability, so you may not be her opponent.ʼ

ʼIf we fight using our cultivation, Iʼm not her opponent.ʼ Zhang Fei then looked at Xian Xianqin. ʼHowever, you still remember my other identity, right? Not many people can resist my lust demon abilities, and there are only two people who can resist them so far.ʼ

ʼOnly two people?ʼ Zhang Fei answered Xian Xianqin with a nod. ʼWho are they? How can they resist your abilities?ʼ

Zhang Fei told her right away. ʼFeng Yao came from the upper realms and is a unique cultivator. The other one is Jiang Yinghua, and she is a winged race with strong light elements.ʼ

ʼEh?ʼ Xian Xianqinʼs expression changed to surprise upon hearing Jiang Yingyuaʼs race. ʼHow do you know the members of the winged race? Iʼve met some of them in the past, and their light element is indeed extraordinary; even my mother admits it.ʼ

ʼMy original home realm is directly connected to three other realms.ʼ After hearing that, Xian Xianqin put on a curious look, so Zhang Fei immediately told her about the three realms. ʼLillea and Janette are Dryads from the Diyu Realm, but I have relocated the members of their race to the Sky Jade Realm.ʼ I have a pretty good relationship with the demons of that realm, but they are not demon cultivators. The Tian Realm is home to the winged race, but they call themselves angels. As for the Xian realm, that realm is where humans with supernatural powers live, and they consider themselves to be gods.ʼ

ʼArenʼt they too arrogant to call themselves gods?ʼ Xian Xianqin asked with a frown.

Zhang Fei gave a nod of agreement. ʼThey can brag about themselves because they are much stronger than ordinary humans, rivaling the winged race or the demons. They tend to think highly of themselves since they have no opponents stronger than them because there are no cultivators in my home realm. Cultivators are no different from them; many consider themselves gods due to their superior cultivation.ʼ

ʼYouʼre right.ʼ Xian Xianqin replied with a slight nod. ʼXimen Gongfu was one of them; he always thought he was a demon god. Thatʼs why his thoughts were never aligned with those of Ximen Changtian, and his ambition to rule this realm was simply too lofty.ʼ

ʼA demon god, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei muttered with a slight smirk. ʼXimen Gongfu was too naive to believe he was a demon god, and there were countless demons stronger than him in the universe. Iʼve met one of them, and she could easily wipe out both demon kingdoms in this realm. Moreover, sheʼs not even the leader of her race, and the leader of her race is much more terrifying than him.ʼ

Before long, they had arrived at the market district, and Zhang Fei rushed to buy all the materials he needed to build a blacksmith workshop. After he bought everything, Xian Xianqin immediately led him to the Xian Imperial Sect, which was located quite far outside the capital.

Huan Ya, who had been following them, felt confused seeing them leave the capital. She hurriedly followed them, but she maintained a safe distance to prevent their discovery. Unfortunately, she was unaware that they had noticed her presence and purposefully allowed her to follow them.

.

.

.

After they were far enough away from the capital, Xian Xianqin asked Zhang Fei. ʼAre you going to do something about that woman now? If you want to do it now, I will help you deal with her, and she will not be able to fight both of us at once.ʼ

ʼNo need.ʼ Zhang Fei declined, casting a quick glance at Huan Yaʼs hiding place. ʼI know your worries, but I am confident in my abilities and speed. For now, I just want to get to your sect and hear your plans regarding the tower, and Iʼll confront her after we get back.ʼ

Xian Xianqin didnʼt say anything, but she doubted that Zhang Fei could handle Huan Ya alone. ʼSigh! Iʼll follow him later and help him if he has trouble handling her.ʼ

After some time, they reached the Xian Imperial Sectʼs location, leaving Zhang Fei in awe of its grandeur. The sectʼs prominence was significantly greater than all other sects in the Sky Jade Realm, and its area extended several miles in all directions. Moreover, the protective array that protected the sect was as powerful as the one that protected the Xian royal palace. The top of the walls was equipped with various types of ordinary weapons or artifacts, and he could see countless dots gathered inside it.

”Hehe.” Xian Xianqin chuckled at Zhang Feiʼs expression. ”Are the sects in the Sky Jade Realm this big?”

”No.” Zhang Fei answered with a shake of his head. ”The Blazing Phoenix Sect is the largest sect in my realm, yet it still pales in comparison to this sect. As for my sect, the Yin-Yang Pavilion used to be a prostitution area, but Shen Xueyiʼs ancestor turned it into a dual cultivation sect.”

”Does that mean all your sect members are prostitutes?”

”Do you think Iʼm a prostitute?” Xian Xianqin immediately covered her mouth with both hands. ”Many of them are indeed no different from prostitutes, and some of them even have two partners, either male or female disciples. However, many others are loyal to their respective partners, and some of them are even still virgins, such as Mu Lingshu and Lin Dongʼer.”

Xian Xianqin had no interest in discussing dual cultivators, so she guided Zhang Fei into the Xian Imperial Sect. ”Letʼs go; I will introduce you to my master.”
