Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 52: Conflict

Zhang Chen was talking to the two women in the living room, since the three policemen were Hong Yaoʼs men, so she told her that Zhang Fei had already killed them.

They were shocked to hear that, and Hong Yao couldnʼt help but sigh in her heart. ʼSigh, this is all Zhang Haiʼs fault; if it wasnʼt for him, then they wouldnʼt need to have died, I donʼt know what to do now about their deaths.ʼ

Soon, Zhang Hai, Zhang He, and Chen Xin walked into the house, and Zhang Chen immediately asked her son coldly. ”What do you mean by paying those cops to arrest Feiʼer?”

”Mother-”

”You donʼt have to bother denying it; my subordinates have already admitted that you paid them to arrest Zhang Fei, Mr. Zhang.” Hong Yao interrupted Zhang Hai directly. ”Since they even dared to fake an arrest warrant against Zhang Fei on your orders, I have dismissed them from their positions.”

Since it was impossible for her to say that Zhang Fei had killed the three policemen, Hong Yao was forced to tell him that.

Zhang Hai froze after hearing that, and he was too speechless to answer them. While Zhang He was darkened by their words, he was still angry at what Zhang Fei had done to him. and Chen Xin could only sigh in her heart, as she had no right to interfere.

Qing Yi, who had made up her mind, spoke to her husband directly. ”I apologize to you, but I have already decided to divorce you, Zhang Hai.”

”What!?” The father and son exclaimed in shock upon hearing that.

Zhang Hai wanted to say something, but Qing Yi hurriedly said again. ”Mother has agreed with my decision to divorce you, and I have contacted my lawyer to arrange our divorce. To be honest, I regret supporting your decision to abandon and disown Feiʼer two years ago, but I couldnʼt refuse you because I was too scared of you.

However, the situation is different now, and I wonʼt be scared of you anymore.”

Zhang Haiʼs face darkened at his wifeʼs words. Zhang He also couldnʼt believe that his mother would decide on such a thing, and Chen Xin laughed in her heart at Qing Yiʼs decision.

”Iʼm really disappointed in you, and your actions towards Feiʼer have gone too far, Haiʼer.” Zhang Chen expressed her disappointment. ”Since-”

*Tap... Tap...*

Suddenly, they heard footsteps and looked outside, and they saw Zhang Fei walking into the house hand in hand with Zhong Yan; they all had different reactions to their closeness.

Zhang Hai raised his eyebrows, seeing them so intimately; as an active person in the business world, he naturally recognized Zhong Yan. Moreover, his company cooperated with her, and she also helped him a lot. ʼHow did he get together with her?ʼ

Zhang Chen and Qing Yi also recognized Zhong Yan, but they really didnʼt expect that Zhang Fei had such a relationship with her, and both smiled.

Hong Yao, as the police chief, must have recognized Zhong Yan, and their relationship took her by surprise. Since no man had managed to get close to her before, but she fell into the demonʼs arms now.

Zhang He, who had also met Zhong Yan several times, looked at them enviously. Meanwhile, seeing their intimacy filled Chen Xin with jealousy, especially since she was much prettier, sexier, and richer than her.

Zhang Feiʼs lips curled in response to their reaction, and he casually asked his father. ”Are you surprised that Iʼm not in prison, Zhang Hai?”

Zhang Haiʼs expression darkened upon hearing Zhang Fei call him directly by his name, Zhang He also darkened upon hearing that, but he didnʼt dare to utter a single word, as he was still frightened by him.

Before Zhang Hai opened his mouth to scold Zhang Fei, Zhong Yan suddenly spoke to him. ”I would like to inform you that I have decided to terminate our companyʼs cooperation, Mr. Zhang. You donʼt need to ask me the reason because you already know the answer. Besides, I give you one month to repay your debts to me. Otherwise, I will take this matter to court.”

Zhang Hai froze at her words, and he looked at her with dismay and disbelief. If she really did that, then his company would definitely collapse. ”Zhong Yan-”

”You donʼt have to bother begging me.” Zhong Yan stopped him from speaking further. ”Even if your company is going to collapse, then itʼs none of my business.”

Qing Yi sighed inwardly; since she had always been helping her husband in his company, she knew very well how crucial Zhong Yanʼs role was in it. ʼPerhaps this is the best way to make him realize that wealth is not everything.ʼ

Seeing that his fatherʼs reaction was so bad, Zhang He realized that they were in a pinch, and he then pointed his finger at Zhang Fei as he shouted angrily. ”You! You are a jinx! It happened because of you!”

Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows, and in a blink of an eye, he was already standing in front of Zhang He. He then strangled his neck tightly and lifted his body high, and he said it coldly. ”Looks like my previous lesson didnʼt deter you, huh?”

”Feiʼer!” Qing Yi and Zhang Chen cried out in shock upon seeing that.

”Let go of my son!”

”Let go of my husband, Fei!”

Zhang Hai and Chen Xin also shouted at him as they tried to free Zhang Heʼs neck from his strangulation, but Zhang Fei was strangling his neck very tightly.

*Swish*

Zhang Fei used his qi to push them away, Zhang Hai and Chen Xin instantly fell backwards, and they were shocked to see that.

Zhang Heʼs face was extremely red, and he struggled to breathe, as Zhang Feiʼs grip on his neck tightened.

”I told you before, right? If you seek trouble with me again, then I will not hesitate to kill you.” Zhang Fei spoke very coldly, and he strangled his neck tighter, making it even harder for Zhang He to breathe.

Zhang Hai and Chen Xin were horrified by his words because they had no idea Zhang Fei was an incubus as well as a fox.

Zhang Chen immediately stood up to them, then she grabbed Zhang Feiʼs hand. ”Thatʼs enough, Feiʼer. You donʼt need to do something like this to him.”

”Alright.” Zhang Fei nodded, and then he threw Zhang He on the floor. ”Youʼd better engrave it in your little brain about todayʼs events, and donʼt you ever think that I donʼt dare to kill you; I didnʼt kill you this time just because of Grandmaʼs request.”

After he said that, Zhang Fei immediately entered his room. Zhong Yan also said goodbye to them, and she left Zhang Chenʼs house right after.

Zhang Hai and Chen Xin immediately helped Zhang He to stand up. Moreover, he seemed to be still struggling to breathe.

”Cough... Cough...” Zhang He choked hard, his eyes continued to stare at Zhang Feiʼs room, and his heart was filled with hatred for him even more.

Zhang Chen sighed softly, she still couldnʼt believe that Zhang Fei could be that strong and vicious. Luckily, he was still willing to listen to her words. She then looked at Zhang Hai, Zhang He, and Chen Xin one by one before finally saying. ”From today onwards, you guys are not welcome in this house anymore, and I ask you all to leave this house right now.”

They looked at Zhang Chen in disbelief, but then they returned to their rooms to pack their things. Before long, they left the house without saying goodbye.

After they left, Qing Yi pulled her mother-in-law to sit down and massaged her shoulders. ”Are you all right, Mother?”

”Iʼm fine, Yiʼer.” Zhang Chen replied with a nod, but even so, she still felt sad in her heart.

”Anyway, Iʼm returning to the city first; I need to clear up the deaths of my three subordinates.” After saying that, Hong Yao hurriedly left Zhang Chenʼs house.
