The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 150: Chapter 150: Don’t Ruin My Appetite

Han Jing wiped her hands and casually tossed the cloth to Mu Jin: ”Wait until the fight is over, then find another driver.”

Mu Jin...

”Miss, aren’t you worried at all?” Mu Jin had always been calm, but with her miss, she simply couldn’t stay composed.

She had been by Han Jing’s side for almost two months and had never seen her take anything to heart. It seemed that nothing really mattered to her; she did things out of sudden interest and then that was it.

In other words... a typical carefree person.

”What’s there to worry about? Regardless of who they came to assassinate, this kind of setup could never succeed!” Han Jing was a professional assassin; no assassination is done this way! Choosing the worst possible time to act, and the people sent were all a bunch of weaklings. Even if they were somewhat stronger than the Imperial Guard, they couldn’t surpass the strength in numbers! In such a scenario, there are only two possibilities: either the one who sent them is incredibly foolish, or the assassination isn’t the real goal. Maybe they aim to stir up trouble, or perhaps they intend to frame someone.

At first, when those two jumped onto the carriage, she thought someone was trying to kill her. After all, she was just a ”weak woman,” making her an easier target. But the assassins acted as if they had no idea who she was, so perhaps they weren’t there for her!

If they intended to assassinate the Emperor, her mother’s carriage was just ahead of the Emperor’s Imperial Carriage. This was a precautionary measure to ensure His Majesty’s safety should a true master assassin strike. So, if they genuinely wanted to kill the Emperor, they’d certainly send a Spirit Cultivation Level master, otherwise, was it really just for fun?

So, there’s absolutely no need to worry.

Mu Jin... she admitted her miss had a point.

Just then, a sudden clatter of hooves sounded beside the carriage, stopping at Han Jing’s side. A hand swiftly lifted the carriage curtain, revealing the anxious face of Su Xingyan.

The three medicine pills from Yun Feng were excellent for treating internal injuries, so before leaving the palace, his body had almost fully recovered. Just during the assassin’s onslaught, he saw two people get on Han Jing’s carriage. Out of sudden panic, without knowing why, he rushed over without hesitation.

Seeing that Han Jing was unharmed, his anxious heart finally settled.

Han Jing merely raised her head slowly to glance at him, and the words she uttered immediately turned Su Xingyan’s face dark: ”What? Did Prince Ling come to see if I was dead yet?”

Su Xingyan gritted his teeth and said, ”Who cares whether you’re dead or not!”

Han Jing... isn’t he crazy?

”If Prince Ling has nothing better to do, stop blocking the way here. It’s almost the Wu hour; don’t spoil my appetite.” Han Jing truly was getting a bit hungry.

Su Xingyan’s face darkened again, and he shouted, ”You’re still in the mood to wait for lunch? Han Jing, do you realize what just happened? You almost died, you know!”

Su Xingyan was almost tempted to crack open Han Jing’s head to see what on earth was inside! Just now, assassins had jumped onto her carriage. How dangerous was that! If it hadn’t been for Youyou, she would likely have been dead by now! And yet she’s in the mood to wait for lunch? Many other ladies were so scared they fainted immediately! Isn’t she even a woman!
