The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Breaking Off the Engagement!!! (Part 4)

It seems that after all that has happened during this period, Jing’er has truly let go of Su Xingyan.

Now that they’re breaking off the engagement, Yao Zhen has nothing to worry about anymore.

Initially, she thought Jing’er was just acting on a whim and might regret it later, but now it seems she’s truly made up her mind.

Yao Zhen is quite supportive of this outcome. Although she supports any decision Han Jing makes, she hopes her decisions bring her happiness. If a decision causes her pain, it’s better not to make that decision at all.

However, she is quite curious about what happened between the two yesterday. Why did she hear that Su Xingyan sent people over several times today?

The palace is not that big, and any event can easily spread out, so it’s naturally hard to hide from her.

So Yao Zhen nodded and said, ”No problem with breaking the engagement, I’ll go and talk to the Emperor later. But, little girl, tell your mother, what happened last night? How did both of you end up near the Liangshan Snow Forest? Don’t you know how dangerous it is over there? Also, I heard that kid got seriously injured and sent people looking for you several times today. Is he trying to bully you again?”

Thinking about this, Han Jing felt that extorting over 800,000 taels of silver from Su Xingyan was totally worthwhile!

”The day before yesterday, I told him that if he could beat me in the hunting competition, I would agree to break off the engagement. So yesterday, he became like a madman, chasing after me and not letting go. Then we just kept walking and ended up far away...” So the reason they encountered danger yesterday was entirely Su Xingyan’s fault!

Regardless of whether he won yesterday, she had planned on breaking the engagement anyway. Winning against Su Xingyan was simply to embarrass him. Who would’ve thought they’d end up in that place, almost costing her life!

Not even all that silver is enough to compensate for her mental anguish!

”Mother, tell the Emperor I won’t marry Su Xingyan, and beg him to be kind and stop endangering my life in the future!” Even if it’s breaking off the engagement, it must be Su Xingyan’s fault!

Han Jing’s principle has always been that if it’s someone else’s fault, it absolutely cannot be her fault!

That bastard Su Xingyan, he never had good intentions to begin with! He better not end up in her hands again; their accounts are not settled yet!

After hearing Han Jing’s words, Yao Zhen’s face had already darkened: ”That brat! How dare he act so out of line, I’m going to find the Emperor right now!”

To bully her daughter to this extent, does he really think Yao Zhen is just a pushover?

Yao Zhen stormed off to find the Emperor.

It’s still afternoon, and the hunting competition is scheduled to last for three days. Today is only the second day, so right now, the Emperor, along with the royal family and ministers, are watching the performances at the hunting grounds.

Yao Zhen doesn’t care what kind of occasion it is; she went over furiously. Before she even got close, everyone could sense the atmosphere was a bit off. Her presence made even the Emperor feel something was amiss, so he waved away the enthusiastic dancing girls, cleared his throat, and said, ”Zheng’er, what’s the matter? Ahem, is Jing’er doing better?”

Why does he have a bad premonition? At this moment, the Emperor instinctively felt a bit uneasy.

Yao Zhen has never caused trouble, and if she does, even he might not be able to handle it.
