Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1996: Chapter 1998: Let’s Go Kill Someone Together

For paranoid people, there’s no choice; they’ll only walk a single path until it turns black, especially for those who have already lost everything.

Chiang Qing was just like this.

The sea breeze blew gently, the sun set on the horizon, and the sky was already painted with a magnificent red, like blood, both spectacular and brilliant, making people pause and linger.

This kind of scenery intoxicates people, but it did not include Chiang Qing.

The red before her eyes would only remind her of the blood she glimpsed on that filthy operating table, something she could never forget.

She had once been that miserable!

It also made her remember what she had lost?

She had tried for so long, ultimately, it was all in vain, a waste of effort.

”So you came to the seaside, making it hard for me to find you.” Bi Xiaojin draped a thin jacket over Chiang Qing’s shoulders and said, ”Why didn’t you tell me first, I thought...”

Thought she had been caught by someone.

He grabbed her hand again and said, ”The weather is still hot, and the ultraviolet rays by the sea are strong, be careful not to get sunburned. Look at you, your hands are still cold.”

Chiang Qing pulled her hand back, glaring at that last trace of the setting sun, saying nothing.

Bi Xiaojin wasn’t bothered, sitting next to her, watching the overwhelming beauty, sighing, ”It’s really beautiful!”

”Like blood, what’s so beautiful about it? The blood beneath me is just the same.” Chiang Qing spoke coldly.

Bi Xiaojin was at a loss for words, then said, ”Shall we go back? Don’t look anymore.”

”No, I want to watch.” Chiang Qing said, ”Only by looking at this blood-red can I remember who made me this way.”

Bi Xiaojin’s heart raced, looking at her profile, her thin face still pale, but it looked better than before, at least she no longer looked like a corpse.

In the days hiding in this small fishing village, he was actually quite satisfied and content. The fifty thousand yuan Chiang Qing gave was enough for them to live, even if he didn’t work for a while, they could eat and live well.

He was also planning to stay with her for the next few months while she regained her health, and find a job next year, or start a small business, living a peaceful life, not thinking about anything else.

But now, did she still remember those people?

”Qingqing, let’s forget, forget the past, and start over, okay?” Bi Xiaojin pursed his lips, grabbed her hand, and said, ”I still have the money you gave, it’s enough for us to live well. Let’s not think about anything else, start all over again, okay?”

”Start over, do you think it’s possible?” Chiang Qing looked at him full of mockery.

”Let’s get married!” Bi Xiaojin blurted out, ”I will take good care of you, Qingqing, I love you.”

Marriage... Was this a proposal?

Chiang Qing looked at him; no one had ever proposed to her in this life, what a pity, it was him.

She turned her eyes away, ”I will not marry you, it’s impossible to get married.”

Bi Xiaojin knew what she was concerned about and said, ”No marriage certificate, it’s okay, we’ll have our own ceremony, have my cousin as a witness, it’ll be fine. Don’t worry, no matter how humble, I’ll give you a wedding.”

”I will not marry!”

”Qingqing, what wedding ring do you want, we’ll get...”

”I said I will not marry, can’t you hear?” Chiang Qing’s voice was sharp, looking at him, ”You love me?”

”Yes.”

”Will you do whatever I say?”

”Yes!”

Chiang Qing looked at him, giving a strange smile, ”Then if I want you to kill someone with me, would you comply?”
