Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1953: Chapter 1955: The Hurricane Rises

Chiang Qing had just stepped out the door when someone followed right on her heels, and she didn’t notice a thing. It wasn’t until she entered the company that someone reported her movements.

”Got it. Keep staring at her!” Lin Biao hung up the phone.

”Well? Did she bite?” Shen Qizheng looked at Lin Biao, eyes gleaming.

”She just went to the company!” Lin Biao gritted his teeth. That bitch, she really dared!

”That bitch finally couldn’t hold back anymore. Makes sense, the old man’s been away these two days, doesn’t that hand her a golden opportunity?” Shen Qizheng snorted coldly and said, ”Then let’s hurry and take the old man over. If we don’t catch that bitch red-handed and beat the crap out of her, she’ll think everyone in the Shen Family is a bunch of idiots!”

But Lin Biao hesitated.

”What’s wrong?” Seeing him just stand there, Shen Qizheng couldn’t help asking.

”Young Master, the old man is at that age, and his health hasn’t been great lately. The doctor said he has to avoid emotional agitation.” Lin Biao was very hesitant.

That was also why he’d never torn the lid off this matter; he’d been thinking of quietly dealing with it first and then finding a chance to slowly talk it through. But dragging the old man along to catch them in the act—at his age, if something happened because he couldn’t take it, wouldn’t Lin Biao become the sinner?

Shen Qizheng’s gaze flickered. If that’s how it played out, that would actually be perfect—two birds with one stone!

He quickly straightened his expression and said, ”Chief Secretary, something this important, are we really going to hide it from the old man? That’s not right, is it?”

”No, I mean we could handle it privately...”

”Chief Secretary, you’re thinking way too simply. Sure, we know about Chiang Qing’s dirty business, but no matter how rotten she is, she’s still the old man’s third wife. We have no right to step in and decide for him. Out there, that bitch is, by title, still my ’Third Mom’. You tell me, what can I do?” Shen Qizheng drawled nastily.

Lin Biao was still wavering.

”Relax. The old man’s been through storms bigger than this. It’s just a woman; how could she break him? Us hiding it, that would be the real betrayal. Besides, with something like this, if he doesn’t see it with his own eyes, how’s he supposed to give up? It’s not like you don’t know how that bitch Chiang Qing coaxed him into losing his mind!” Shen Qizheng curled his lip.

The old fool had given five percent of the casino shares to that bitch. That was basically reaching into his wallet and pulling money out. If that’s not losing his mind, what is?

Lin Biao said, ”All right.”

”Then...” Shen Qizheng rubbed his hands together, chuckling. ”You’re the old man’s right-hand man, he trusts you more than anyone. If it comes from you, it’ll be convincing. I’ll have to trouble you with this!”

Hearing that, Lin Biao gave him a long, deep look.

Shen Qizheng felt a twinge of guilt and said, ”Thing is, I’ve already had my run-ins with Chiang Qing. If I’m the one to bring it up, the old man will probably think I’m framing her, heh.”

”If Young Master could put this kind of scheming into business, the old man wouldn’t have to rack his brains so hard,” Lin Biao said with a meaningful smile.

Heat rushed to Shen Qizheng’s face, but he could only force a laugh.

What a joke—when there’s someone ready-made to do the job, why would he go swing the club himself? He’d rather just fold his arms and watch the show from the sidelines. Why wade into this muddy water?

All he cared about was the outcome. As for the process, who carried it out—what difference did it make?

”I can only trouble you, Chief Secretary. Whatever happens, we mustn’t let the old man get too worked up.” Shen Qizheng said, feigning concern.

Lin Biao gave him another look, feeling a bit disappointed. So this was the old man’s eldest son. How was he supposed to carry the Shen Family’s banner in the future?

He headed toward Shen Rong’s study.

The gale had begun to rise...
