Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1145: Chapter 1146: Have You Done It Yet?

Since Ning Ge also agreed to use the company for a mortgage loan and he is interested in buying land, both parties are willing, and it’s a perfect match, making it the easiest to handle.

Cheng Su immediately had Ying Xiaoya help prepare the company’s materials and estimate the market value. If this money comes through, it will be split between the two families.

However, these days, the little girl’s emotions seem a bit low!

Cheng Su asked her what’s wrong, and Xiao Ya’s eyes turned red.

”Did you have another argument?” Cheng Su asked at first glance.

Ying Xiaoya said, ”We might break up!”

Cheng Su was stunned: ”What happened? So serious?”

She had been busy with classes, managing the factory affairs remotely on the phone, and hadn’t been to the company much, so she wasn’t aware of their issues.

”His daughter has been hostile towards me. She was fine before, but now she keeps calling me the Fox Spirit who stole her father. Such words hurt deeply. I said a couple of things back to her, and she immediately went to complain to him. At first, he would scold the child, but he couldn’t withstand her pulling her grandmother in for support. Later on, he felt I was petty, saying I shouldn’t bicker with a child.” Xiao Ya said, tears streaming down her face.

Cheng Su sighed and said, ”You know how hard it is to be a stepmother, right? You haven’t even gotten married yet, and she’s already rejecting you. What will you do after you get married?”

”I don’t know. I think the sudden hatred from the child is definitely instigated by her mother. But he said he can’t stop them from meeting.” Ying Xiaoya huffed, ”It’s only natural for them to meet; they act like close family while I’m the unreasonable one, lacking common sense.”

Cheng Su had long anticipated this kind of thing happening, but she never thought Xiao Pinshan could be so capable in his work yet have such low emotional intelligence when it came to handling relationships.

They really aren’t suitable. Xiao Ya is simple-minded and straightforward; she calls it like she sees it and doesn’t overthink things. What she needs is a man who can completely tolerate her temperament.

It’s not that Xiao Pinshan is a bad person; he’s responsible in his work and also in his relationships. But his marital history and family make him unsuitable for Xiao Ya.

”Have you talked about it?” Cheng Su felt a bit uncomfortable inside; she hoped Xiao Ya could be happy.

”We’ve talked. He always tells me to be tolerant of his daughter, saying the child is young and has been through her parents’ divorce, making her more sensitive. Over time, she’ll warm to me,” Ying Xiaoya said mockingly. ”He never stops to think. We’re worse off than before, constantly asking me to put up with it, not considering where the real problem lies, or that I’m exhausted too.”

Cheng Su patted her on the shoulder and said, ”That’s what it’s like dating someone with a child from a previous marriage. This is just the beginning. I won’t make the decision for you. It’s up to you to choose whether you want an easy life or to continue living this way.”

Ying Xiaoya bit her lip and nodded, ”I understand. I’m just annoyed and wanted to vent to you.”

”Yeah, when you have something on your mind, it’s good to vent to a good friend.” Cheng Su said, ”I can’t decide for you, but I can help analyze the situation and listen to you vent.”

”Thank you.”

”What are you thanking me for? When I have something on my mind, don’t I come to you too!” Cheng Su suddenly thought of something else, leaned in, and asked quietly, ”So, how far have you two gone? Have you... done it?”

Ying Xiaoya was taken aback, then her face turned bright red as she swung her fist at her, ”Cheng Su! Can’t you say something nice for once?”

”I’m reminding you, before you decide to get married, even if you guys have done it, make sure to take precautions so you don’t end up with a baby, forcing you into it!” Cheng Su said.

Ying Xiaoya’s face tightened, and she nodded, ”He does respect me, saying he won’t do it before marriage.”

Cheng Su breathed a slight sigh of relief, at least he has some decency.
