Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1144: Chapter 1145: Crowds Buying Land

According to Old Master Ning of the Ning Family, Cheng Su may have luck, but what truly impresses people is her boldness and vision.

Cheng Su is only twenty-two this year. As a young woman her age, most are either focused on family matters or busy with daily meals.

But when it comes to vision and ambition, Old Master Ning has seen many girls, yet the only one who truly impresses him is this young girl, Cheng Su.

Her perspective is much broader than that of ordinary men.

Now, when she talks about the future development of Guangcheng, Old Master Ning can see a flourishing picture, plus the country’s leaders are vigorously promoting economic reform.

”Our family’s foundation is all here in the Capital, but for long-term plans, investing a bit in the South isn’t a bad idea,” Old Master Ning said. ”This is the principle of not putting all eggs in one basket.”

”But won’t this cause disturbances over there?” Ning Gang was cautious.

”It’s just privately buying two pieces of land, what’s the disturbance? Just use the fourth son’s name, like Cheng Su, and take a loan,” Old Master Ning said. ”The funds are clear, what can move a businessman?”

Ning Gang thought for a moment, and had nothing more to say. Once the old master decided something, it was rarely changed. He looked at Ning Ge, meaning to say it was up to him to handle.

Ning Ge, helplessly, had to call Cheng Su again.

At Cheng Su’s place, Qi Taiguo noticed that after Cheng Su had just finished a call with Ning Ge, he called again, which aroused his curiosity.

After Cheng Su hung up, hearing her talk about the Ning family’s plans, Qi Taiguo found it amusing.

”Why does it sound like buying land is as simple as buying vegetables, and you’re even buying in bulk?” Qi Taiguo said.

Who buys land like this? It’s not like going to the market to buy vegetables, you buy, I buy too.

And from the looks of it, the Ning family seems to be following Cheng Su’s actions. Whatever she does, they do too. It’s a bit absurd.

”Are you sure I’m the only one who knows you’re from the future?” Qi Taiguo asked.

Cheng Su said, ”Of course, am I going to shout it on the streets?”

She gave him a look of ’are you dumb?’, then suddenly felt something was off, squinting her eyes and asking, ”What do you mean by that? That it’s not right for people to follow me in buying land?”

”No, it just seems, uh, quite blind,” Qi Taiguo laughed.

”That’s because they’re smart, knowing following Cheng Su brings benefits,” Cheng Su said with a proud smile.

Qi Taiguo snorted and said, ”Don’t be too smug just yet. The land hasn’t been bought yet. Are you sure you can get it?”

”That’s where networking comes in,” Cheng Su’s eyes sparkled as she said, ”The head of the Cheng family is quite influential.”

”Are you exploiting the common people?” Qi Taiguo was a bit disapproving.

He was a soldier, full of integrity, and didn’t like exploiting the people’s resources.

”What exploitation? I’m promoting economic development, you know? The wool comes from the sheep’s back. I bought the land, and that money will be used for construction, thus boosting the economy. I’m just changing the name of the landowner to mine. I’m buying with real money, not robbing. Maybe the government has been waiting for wealthy groups like us to make a move!” Cheng Su scoffed.

What’s money for? It should be used wisely. Leaving it in the bank is just like a piece of paper. It can’t do anything. What if everyone just hoarded their money? But if it circulates in the market, that’s a different story.
