Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1143: Chapter 1144: Let’s Hitch a Ride Too, Ning Family

Cheng Su waited for two whole days before Ning Ge finally called her back. Her yelling almost shattered Ning Ge’s eardrum.

This woman is getting more and more unruly!

”What’s the matter? You’re in such a hurry to find me. You don’t even know I was almost wanted by the whole town because of my brother.” Ning Ge dug in his ear and asked, without bothering about the unfriendly glance his brother gave him.

Cheng Su stammered out her thoughts.

”What, you need a loan? Did the company’s business fall apart while I was away for a few days?” Ning Ge sat up straight. Although he wasn’t focused on the business, it was still his property, and he had to care a little.

Ning Gang and Old Master Ning both looked over. Is the company in trouble?

”No, it’s that I want some money and need to use the company as collateral,” Cheng Su said. ”Don’t worry, I’ll definitely pay it back. It might take a while, but it won’t shortchange you. You name an interest rate, and I’ll calculate the interest for you.”

”It’s not a company problem, then why do you need the money?” Ning Ge couldn’t understand.

Ning Ge wasn’t an outsider, and Cheng Su didn’t intend to hide it from him, so she simply explained why she needed the loan.

She’s buying land, and it’s in Guangcheng.

This woman, why does she have so many ideas?

”You want to use the company as collateral, I don’t have any objection, and there’s no need to calculate any interest rate. But with this land purchase, are you confident?” Ning Ge asked.

Listening to Cheng Su enthusiastically talk about future development over the phone, Ning Ge finally said, ”Since you’ve thought it through, go ahead. I’ll return in a few days; there are still things to handle here.”

After hanging up the phone, Old Master Ning asked, ”Why, is your company having problems? Do you need your second brother to step in and help?”

”It’s not our company; it’s Cheng Su who wants a loan to buy land, using the company as collateral,” Ning Ge replied.

”A loan to buy land?” Ning Gang was a bit surprised, ”How much does she want to borrow?”

”About a hundred or two hundred thousand.”

”Does she have the ability to repay it?” Ning Gang raised an eyebrow. That amount is no small sum.

Ning Ge shrugged, ”I don’t know, but since she has the thought, she should have the confidence and ability to repay it. Besides, I think she has a bit of luck.”

”How do you mean?” Old Master Ning was a bit curious.

Ning Ge then talked a bit about their company’s current development and then mentioned Cheng Su’s adventures in Guangcheng, saying, ”Back then she met you, Old Master. Now, she’s met a Cheng family. Wouldn’t you say that’s good luck?”

”The Cheng family...” Old Master Ning thought for a moment and asked, ”Could it be the Cheng family of Old Red Army Cheng Jiasheng?”

”Dad, you know them too?” Ning Gang was curious.

”To say I know them is a stretch, but how many Old Red Army soldiers are there nowadays? Just a few, so I have some impression,” Old Master Ning said. ”But from what I hear, this girl indeed is well-connected.”

”Stepping in dog poop, walking with dog luck,” Ning Ge shrugged.

But Old Master Ning tapped his fingers lightly on his leg and said, ”Xiao Cheng said she wants to buy land; what’s that supposed to mean?”

Ning Ge was taken aback, then repeated what Cheng Su had just said.

Old Master Ning listened, his eyes lit up slightly, nodded quietly, and said, ”If that’s the case, our family should ride on Xiao Cheng’s coattails and see if we can buy two pieces of land over in Guangcheng.”

This time, it was Ning Gang and Ning Ge who were shocked, looking at their family’s old man. Cheng Su is crazy, why is he following suit?
