The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 273: Fight against Mikael

A small black dot appears a little above, not too high, but it is still clearly floating, Mikael looks at the dot and quickly draws the Mesumari to defend himself.

My angelic halo gains a crack and breaks off a small piece due to the violent release of mana that the magic requires.

Soon the black dot expands, covering everything in darkness, all the things around are completely erased from the field of vision as the darkness expands, I no longer feel the ground and feel that I am falling, but very slowly.

My magic does not damage me since I made it that way, so I just fall into the hole that was opened while I can’t see anything, due to the darkness and the violent release of mana I don’t see Mikael.

I can’t even feel his mana because the entire area has my mana that is released by the magic, I’m not sure how long this magic lasts, but now the mana reserve of my angelic halo is completely depleted.

But just as Violet and I had discussed, I have no aftereffects or fatigue at all, I only feel pain in my head because the angelic halo has broken and it is a sensitive part of my body.

But I know it will soon regenerate, so it’s not a real problem, I soon feel the violent wave of mana diminishing, time and space become confused within this darkness, so I don’t know how long it’s really been since we’ve been falling.

”Violet, situation report!” I ask Violet.

”It’s been 5 minutes since we’ve been falling, but I urgently suggest you try to climb up, the location is trying to recover from the destruction and soon the entire area will be covered in rocks,” Violet says without much concern.

”Can you find Mikael?”

”Yes, he’s up there.” When Violet says that, I start flying upward with a large pair of wings at extreme speed, now the mana released by the magic has dissipated and the environment is returning to normal.

”CAREFUL!” Violet says urgently, but I don’t know where the danger is coming from, so I use [Dematerialization] to become intangible, and practically at the same moment, everything disappears.

All the darkness that surrounded the area has disappeared, or rather the direction I’m in has disappeared, but if I look in another direction, it still exists, so it was cut in half, this is obviously an attack from the Mesumari.

I see Mikael up there and use the shadows to emerge directly from his shadow, in the past I would never have had enough reaction time to use [Dematerialization] and would have died.

As soon as I emerge from his shadow, I take some distance and notice the location recovering its form, the plain reemerging and the pillars rising again, so half of the scenery is a darkness that covers the ground and the sky, and the other half is the regenerated scenery.

I notice that Mikael’s black clothes now have purple details and have changed in some aspects, so it seems to be a mana armor made by the Mesumari.

I also notice some small wounds on Mikael that soon regenerate, if they had taken so long to regenerate without the Mesumari, Mikael would have died from my attack if he had stayed inside for too long.

”What a devastating attack,” Mikael says to me, carrying the Mesumari on his back. Honestly, I’ll never stop finding the Mesumari a sword with a disproportionate size compared to Mikael’s size.

”I am the Demon King, if with 50% of my power I were weaker than a human, it would be ridiculous,” I respond arrogantly, showing that in pure power I am currently stronger than Mikael.

What really leaves us equal is our swords, without them the fight would be totally in my favor.

”...” I advance against him, forming a Rapier, a sword used mainly for thrusts, Mikael defending my attack by placing the Mesumari in front, as it is huge, it easily becomes a shield.

The impact of my Rapier with the Mesumari generates an extremely powerful shockwave while Violet enters the Rapier, leaving it with a dark color and with purple tones.

The shockwave is covered by the mana of the two swords, generating purple and black rays that spread while the ground is shattered.

Mikael tilts his sword, changing the position and forcing me to take a step back so that I don’t slip and be knocked down.

”Violet, it’s time to test if our training works,” I murmur to Violet, who prepares herself. Violet forms mana threads that come together with mine, and this same united mana is used in the [Creation Essence] ability.

And so I form a huge hammer with a 2-meter handle and the heaviest part being about 3 meters, and with that I move it to hit Mikael, who is caught off guard by the huge weapon. He tries to defend himself, only to be thrown back by the impact.

The hammer that has already been made with the mana of both of us could instantly have Violet inside, which made the giant hammer immediately have the necessary strength to compete with the Mesumari.

If my first attack with the Rapier had already had Violet inside, Mikael would probably have been under pressure.

Of course, this is somewhat unstable, our mana could have a flaw or may not keep up with the exchange rhythm, among other problems that fortunately haven’t arisen yet and that I hope won’t arise.

With our mana, I form two daggers and use [Time Path] to accelerate myself to the maximum, appearing behind Mikael, who with a superhuman reaction turns, swinging the blade against me.

”[Speed Blitz Temporal]” I use the magic, switching positions in the same instant and advancing in an upward attack, targeting his neck.

He delivers a spinning kick, hitting my ribs extremely fast, it seems he’s faster than expected, but instead of being thrown away, I use my flexibility to spin my body.

And so I throw one of the daggers at him, it enters his shoulder, piercing the clothes that proved more resistant than expected.

He strikes with the Mesumari, and since I’m in the air, I can’t dodge in time, so with the other dagger I mold its shape, turning it into a large shield, which receives the blow, throwing me forward.

Mikael quickly heals the dagger wound, but I notice that his defense depends heavily on the Mesumari, just as his regeneration seems to come from abilities and a little of the Mesumari’s mana.

Mikael quickly advances to shorten the distance, but from the small shadow generated by my hair I generate a giant snake that advances in a straight line with its mouth open, forcing him to slow down to stop it by cutting it in two.

”[Hell Sniper]” I use the fire magic, forming a thin beam of fire that he defends by deflecting it with the Mesumari, in a movement I didn’t know, he throws the Mesumari with extreme force.

I form a large war ax that Violet quickly enters now that we’ve connected our mana for the weapon’s previous formation, unfortunately it has the disadvantage of double mana consumption to make the weapons this way.

However, with Violet already inside the weapon, I can instantly adjust it, and thanks to Violet, who is already inside the weapon, I can defend the impact and cut of the Mesumari, which falls to the ground, but quickly flies back into Mikael’s hand.

’I was pushed back...’ Just to defend that, I was pushed back, what an absurd thing, the Mesumari is very strong.

”Pandora, use my ability! DANGER!” Violet says, not explaining enough, but if she speaks of ability, it can only be the ability to cut destiny.

I form a Katana, which is ideal for cuts, I advance against Mikael, who swings the Mesumari downward, while I strike upward with Violet, the force of the Mesumari in this blow is enormous, showing that it is doing something.

”...” As soon as the two blades meet, I see several threads, it’s as if I’m in a completely dark space, only with white, black and purple threads, they are infinite.

A vision that lasts an impossible-to-calculate time, but that passes infinitely fast, and in this vision I see Violet holding two threads, a white thread and a black thread.

She firmly holds the white thread as if it’s important, and cuts the black thread with her hands like scissors, and in the same instant my vision returns to the confrontation between the two swords.

”Ukgf” The weight is enormous, I feel my hands are going to be torn off trying to compete with the force, but using my mana I can compete and avoid taking damage from the shockwave.

However, Mikael is not much better, I see him sweating and his hands and arms trembling as his muscles contract, the mana force pushes my sword to the ground and pushes the Mesumari upward, breaking both our stances at the same time.

Mikael and I obviously have the same reaction, we both jump back to take distance, as we were left with our guard completely open and fear the other using this small opening.

”Violet, what the hell was that?” I say, seeing my hands trembling, the effort was so much that it really affected me.

”What was that? We both came out alive from something that was a guaranteed death!” Violet says proudly, but we don’t have time to talk because Mikael advances against me again.

”Pandora, no time to explain! Black thread is death, purple is severe injury, and white is good!” Violet says only that as we engage in another direct confrontation against the Mesumari.

Violet normally doesn’t talk between the exchanges of blows because she focuses entirely on containing the enemy’s strength, I use the Katana to redirect Mikael’s blow to the ground and use the shadows to move away, going to one of the pillars.

”Explain better,” I say, taking advantage of the brief seconds I’ve obtained, because I already feel Mikael preparing an attack while I prepare another.

”Black threads = Threads where life ends, they symbolize death and are the destiny where life ends”

”Purple Threads = These are threads that represent a future where, although you survive, you receive severe and even mortal or permanent injuries”

”White Threads = Represent a neutral destiny, without gains or losses” Violet says only that quickly while Mikael uses an attack from the Mesumari.

’So Violet cut the black thread and chose the white thread’ Mikael and I retreat, neither of us took advantage of the other’s opening at that moment.

I don’t have much time to think as an attack in the form of a pulsing purple energy cut advances towards me.

”[Kamino Sora]” I use the destruction element magic, making a sphere of this element that advances against the cut.
