Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 585: Anger and fear

Arabel’s heart began to race as the System announced her third warning.

Idan, worried about his beloved’s condition, hugged her tighter.

Arabel even closed her eyes, not imagining what could happen to her and what the punishment from the System would look like.

But as the seconds ticked by, nothing happened to her.

She opened her eyes and met the gaze of Idan, who was looking at her anxiously.

”Are you okay?” he asked.

Arabel nodded her head.

And only then, after waiting for a while to give the couple time to panic and worry, the System started talking.:

[For receiving the third warning, the Host has earned a ”punishment” from the System.]

[Do you want to present the ”punishment” now or postpone it?]

[Attention! The Host can postpone the presentation of the ”punishment” for 24 hours from the moment of its receipt.]

[If the Host does not present a ”punishment” during this time, as soon as the time expires, the System, after assessing the Host’s environment, will take action on its own.]

Arabel, hearing the notification from the System, blinked in surprise and looked at Idan.

He returned her smile.

”Why are you smiling?” she demanded.

”Well, at least you have time to prepare carefully,” Idan said, and gently stroking her head, he added, ”Aren’t you going to tell me later what the System’s ’punishment’ is?”

”Keep dreaming,” — Arabel replied, offended by what was happening. ”Earn yourself a third warning and experience it for yourself.”

[Do you want to present the ”punishment” now or postpone it?]

The System has sent a repeated notification.

”Postpone,” Arabel replied quickly, fearing that the System would make its own decision.

”You... you’re just unbearable,” Arabel said resentfully, looking at the smiling Idan and realizing that he was glad that he wasn’t the first to receive the third punishment.

”Well, well, don’t worry, beautiful. Let me kiss you,” Idan said, leaning over her.

”Who needs your kiss?” Arabel began to kick, pretending to resist.

Idan felt that she was only pretending, not wanting to leave him. If she was really against it, she would have easily escaped from his embrace.

And as soon as Idan was able to catch her and kiss her gently, Arabel reciprocated by hugging him tighter.

”Muah,” they broke the kiss with a sound.

Arabel’s gaze, slightly clouded, was fixed on Idan.

”Okay,” she said softly, lowering her eyes.

”I’ll tell you what the punishment from the System is,” she whispered faintly.

Idan’s smile widened when he clearly heard her whisper. Seeing her in such a state, he found her so sweet and attractive.

Although Arabel told Idan that she was angry at the System, she was also a little scared of what had happened to her in her family’s territory.

”You remember Kraus, don’t you?” Arabel asked after a while, returning to the conversation about Octavian.

”Wait, wait, wait... Are you saying that...” before Idan could finish his question, Arabel nodded in response.

The smile disappeared from Idan face, and he became very serious.

”You said that after killing Kraus, a mark appeared on you and that the System blocked it,” Arabel reminded Idan of his own words.

”Yes, it was,” he confirmed.

”At the moment when I found Octavian and was about to act against him, thanks to this mark, the System sensed that Octavian also had a connection with this mysterious being,” Arabel explained.

”System strictly forbade acting against him,” Arabel felt anger rise up in her as she thought about it again.

She was extremely annoyed that she couldn’t deal with Octavian.

”System reported that although it blocked the first mark and hid you from this mysterious being, it is unable to do so the second time. As soon as I took any action against Octavian, the other side would figure out who I was, and then it would be too late.”

”Now do you understand why I’m so angry?” she asked.

”I used to be afraid of him and always tried to stay away. But now that I’ve become strong, found him, and stood by his side, because of the System and that mysterious being, I couldn’t do anything!”

Idan hugged Arabel tighter, feeling her anger rise again.

He didn’t say a word, knowing how his beloved felt. However, at the same time, he was grateful to the System for stopping Arabel at the very last moment.

”Belle, forget about him for a while,” Idan said softly, stroking her head.

”As soon as we activate our system at full capacity, we will definitely deal with it,” he assured.

Arabel nodded, agreeing with his words.

Arabel sighed, looked up, and without looking away, said with complete seriousness:

”Dan, besides the fact that Octavian is connected to this mysterious being, I also became convinced that it is the source of the black stone.”

Idan, closing his eyes, also sighed.:

”As I expected, all the threads lead to it. It seems that this mysterious being provided the coordinates of our world and invited creatures from another one.”

Back at the association, Irina, answering the question about the black stone, only confirmed that Beings of Light have access to it. She didn’t say anything else.

Thanks to the information received from Irina, Arabel foresaw that Aurel would try to use the black stone, and managed to take it away.

”Stopped by the system and overcome with anger, I stood next to Octavian, staring at him intently. I felt the black stone reacting to him, and the worst part was that Octavian also felt the presence of the black stone in my spatial ring,” Arabel confessed.

”He turned and looked right at where I was standing. And that was the strangest thing...”— saying these words, Arabel began to tremble. ”Although he didn’t see me, he knew I was here and smiled at me...”

”Do you understand, Dan? He was smiling at me...”

”And for a moment, his smile seemed to me very creepy and completely unlike his own... as if something else was looking at me...”

”Sensing danger for a split second, I ran away...”

”Dan... I ran away like a coward...”

”You’re not a coward, Belle,” Idan assured her, looking into her eyes. ”You’re not a coward...”

His words had a calming effect on Arabel, and soon the trembling subsided. She looked at him and asked softly:

”Kiss me.”

Idan did not refuse and tenderly clung to her lips, giving her what she wanted.

Soon after, they moved to the opposite, fiery side of the ring of the seasons, where they planted the second Elemental seed, which belonged to Idan.

By that time, it was already beginning to get light, and Idan and Arabel were in no hurry, enjoying a walk around their territory together.

However, their attention was soon attracted by voices coming from the direction of the house.

They exchanged glances, and only then did Arabel remember something she had completely forgotten.

Idan, using his power over the Kingdom, looked at what was happening, and his gaze froze in surprise.

”You... Did you bring them here?” he asked Arabel incredulously.

She just smiled back at him awkwardly.

”I completely forgot about them,” she said, and as if to justify herself, she added: ”I didn’t bring them here, I kidnapped them.”

With these words, Arabel confessed that she had abducted her parents and brought them here.
