Chapter 553: A conversation between four sisters

When Idan confessed that Arabel was the same girl he had danced with at that gala, and that she was also Arslan’s older twin sister, Ivette, after a moment of shock, bombarded him with questions.

In just a few meetings, Ivette had time to appreciate Arabel’s beauty, and looking at how much Idan had changed and become prettier, she immediately thought that they were perfect for each other.

Ivette couldn’t contain her joy for Idan. In her memory, Idan had always been a withdrawn and sullen boy, and she began to worry if he would ever find a partner.

Idan calmly answered all her questions without asking his own.

”So you came back about a month ago and have been hiding all this time? And you’re saying that Irene and Arslan knew about this and kept quiet?” asked Ivette, unhappy that Idan did not immediately inform her of his return, as well as the fact that Irene hid his return from her.

Seeing that Idan remained silent, Ivette sighed and decided not to insist.

”And where is she now? Your fiancee?” she asked. ”I’d like to meet her.”

Idan, using his power, checked to see if Arabel was within the Kingdom, but did not find her. He realized that she was still in Limbo.

”She’s not here right now, but if you insist, I can call her,” Idan said after a short silence.

”Yes, call her, I want to meet her,” Ivette insisted.

”Okay, I’ll call her now,” Idan did not refuse her.

Using the Lovers’ Plate, Idan sent Arabel a message asking her to return to the Kingdom. However, he did not mention that her mother wanted to meet her.

Idan deliberately hid this information to see how Arabel would react to it on the spot, rather than coming prepared.

At this time in Limbo, the four Valkyries were enjoying the evening, drinking drinks and having frank conversations.

By that time Arabel and Milena were already pretty drunk, and their faces were flushed. In this state, their tongues were loosened, which allowed the older Valkyries to hear some details from the lives of their younger sisters, which they certainly would not have told in a sober mind.

”You’re lucky, little sister, not only do you have a boyfriend, but he’s perfect for perfecting this secret technique,” Lucinda said with a slight note of jealousy as she read the manual Arabel had given them.

”Yes, Idan is really perfect for this,” Sierra agreed, then, smiling playfully, she looked at the slightly tipsy Arabel and said: ”Be careful, little sister, he’s suitable for me too. If I don’t find a suitable one, then maybe I’ll come and steal it from you.”

Arabel instantly flushed, and her eyes lit up with the color of the energy of Madness, and she attacked Sierra, which greatly surprised Milena, who was sitting next to her.

However, before the energy of Madness reached Sierra, it was quickly suppressed by the all-encompassing element of darkness.

”What? Is that all?” said Sierra, laughing, looking at the mad Arabel.

Realizing that she couldn’t resist her, Arabel pouted and resentfully sat down.

”You see, if I want to steal it, what can you do against me, little sister?” asked Sierra.

”Big sister, you’re evil. I’ll... I’ll hate you, and when I surpass you, I’ll...” Arabel began, but she stopped and did not finish, lowering her gaze.

She was aware that Sierra was just playing with her, knowing her possessive nature.

”Dan is mine! Only mine!” said Arabel decisively.

”Be careful, little sister,” Lucinda said to Milena, addressing her through the Soul Force.

”Arabel is very jealous when it comes to Idan. If you’re not confident in your abilities, don’t joke with her about his boyfriend,” Lucinda warned.

”In a way, she still feels hostility towards me because of her boyfriend,” she added, laughing.

”Idan is really perfect for you as a partner for this technique as well. Why did you decide to give it to us instead of studying it yourself?” Lucinda asked Arabel when her jealousy had passed.

”Because we decided to put it off for later and focus on current affairs,” Arabel replied.

”Is that really the whole point? You haven’t done ”that” yet, have you?” Sierra asked Arabel.

”Oh, that old maid is trying to pry out information again! You’d better find a man and try it yourself,” Arabel replied, and Sierra, like Lucinda, had a sour expression on her face.

After a while, Milena looked at her new sisters and asked in surprise:

”Are we all virgins here?”

”Ha, ha, ha, ha!” roared Arabel with laughter. ”Imagine that, it is.”

Lucinda and Sierra’s faces clouded slightly. They understood that Arabel was laughing at them, calling them ”old maids.”

They couldn’t figure out what was funny about it. It was normal in their world. They were beings of the Highest Realm, whose lifespan was much longer than that of ordinary people. They didn’t have to rush to find a partner and procreate. On the contrary, higher beings had limits on the number of children, and they approached this issue very deliberately and seriously, unlike mortals, who copulated and bred too actively.

”Why are you laughing like a fool? Do you already have a boyfriend and you haven’t slept with him yet?” Milena asked Arabel.

”No, we haven’t gotten to that yet,” Arabel replied, but she still had a smile on her face as she looked at her sisters.

”We would have done it if I hadn’t asked to wait,” Arabel confessed, and her face turned even redder, like a ripe tomato. ”Wait until we become a real husband and wife.”

Of course, this did not go unnoticed, and now the others were laughing at Arabel’s reaction.

”Are you sure your boyfriend is a virgin like you?” Milena asked with a smile, looking at Arabel. She found Idan very attractive, and it was hard for her to believe that such a young man had not had other relationships before he met Arabel.

”Of course, I’m sure he confessed it to me,” Arabel said with confidence, unable to keep her mouth shut. She remembered how Idan had confirmed three times in a row that he was still a virgin.

”Knowing Idan, I can say for sure that my little sister is not lying,” Sierra remarked, and then added: ”When we first met, Idan wasn’t as attractive as he is now.”

”Indeed, he has changed a lot since his return,” Lucinda confirmed.

”Really?” — Milena couldn’t believe her ears, and all three of her new older sisters nodded in agreement. Yes, Milena was the youngest among them, she had already accepted her role as a younger sister.

At that moment, Arabel noticed an unread message notification, which distracted her from the conversation.

Knowing that watching what was happening inside the Kingdom was very exhausting, Arabel looked only at the Lovers’ Plate, and after reading the message, a sweet smile played on her face.

”Well... Well, dear sisters, I need to leave,” she said, getting up with a slight shakiness.

”Hey, look how she’s smiling! Did Idan call her?” asked Sierra, and Arabel’s face flushed even more.

”Looks like you guessed right,” — Lucinda laughed.

”Okay, maybe I’ll come back, maybe I won’t,” Arabel said, opening the Access portal and disappearing into it.

Milena looked puzzled at her disappearance, not quite understanding what was going on.

”Don’t think too much, little sister, these two have strange abilities that allow them to communicate with each other even when they are in different worlds,” Lucinda said, pouring another glass for Milena.

Milena was very surprised to hear this, and she was jealous of Arabel for having such a boyfriend. Taking only the poured glass, she gulped down its contents.

Arabel, once in the Kingdom, was still a little drunk and, stumbling, almost fell face down. She struggled to stay on her feet and laughed.

Laughing, she hiccuped very loudly and then laughed again.

Holding a silly smile on her face, she raised her head and, seeing an evening house with lights on the windows in front of her, hiccupped again, pleased. But then she noticed two people sitting on the terrace.

Arabel immediately recognized Idan, who was barely able to contain his laughter, and pouted with a frown. However, when Arabel saw the second person looking at her in surprise and disbelief, she froze.

Her heart started beating faster, her face turned red, and she instantly opened the Access Portal and ran away.
