Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 555: No, no, that’s not right

Arabel, entering the house, was slightly worried about Idan, not understanding what could have happened. Lost in thought, she did not notice Irene and Arslan, who were in the living room, and immediately went to the kitchen. There, she began to pull out the ingredients from her spatial ring, one by one.

”Do you need help?” came Irene’s voice suddenly, startling Arabel out of her thoughts.

”Huh? What?” she asked, turning to Irene.

”I asked if you needed help,” Irene repeated.

”Of course, join us,” Arabel agreed without hesitation, and Irene approached her with some excitement.

Arabel, noticing her agitation, put aside her thoughts and began giving her instructions on what to do.

”The first step is to prepare the ingredients: peel and slice,” she said, picking up a knife and starting the process, which is an integral part of any cooking.

Irene nodded and stood next to Arabel.

Arabel, carefully observing Irene’s actions, did not stop giving advice and recommendations, as well as sharing her experience.

”Oh, you’re doing pretty well,” Arabel remarked, noting how quickly Irene was picking up new skills.

They quickly completed the preparation of the ingredients, and although the result was not perfect, as Arabel would have liked, she was sure that for Irene, who was cooking for the first time using the method given by their System, it was significantly better than hers.

However, when it came to cooking directly, Irene faced difficulties, as Arabel had expected. From the very beginning of cooking, Arabel noticed that Irene was making mistakes.

”No, no, that’s not right,” Arabel stopped Irene and, taking her place, began to show her how to cook properly.

”How do you do that?” asked Irene, watching Arabel easily manipulate her mana, constantly changing its shape and interacting with the ingredients.

”It’s very simple...” Arabel replied with a smile and began to explain her method. Listening to her, Irene felt more and more confused, but she tried to remember all the details.

”Now you try it,” Arabel conceded, returning to her cooking and watching Irene.

Of course, words alone weren’t enough for Irene to understand everything.

”It takes practice,” Arabel said, and then, laughing, added: ”I’ve lost count of how many dishes I’ve ruined trying to cook my first more or less edible one.”

As a result, they spent much more time than if Arabel had cooked by herself.

But despite this, both Irene and Arabel were satisfied with the result.

Irene realized that cooking new world dishes is not as easy as she thought. However, seeing her small successes, she was delighted and believed that if she tried hard, she would be able to learn how to cook.

For Arabel, the process of learning and observing Irene has become a source of inspiration and new discoveries. She was once again convinced of the value of the cooking ability they had gained through the System. This ability made it much easier for them to manipulate mana during cooking.

Arabel also noticed that her affinity to the element of ice and Idan’s affinity to the element of fire are very helpful in controlling the flame during cooking. This was definitely an advantage over Irene and the others.

”Hmm... it smells delicious,” as always, Hailey was the first to come running, smelling the aroma of the prepared food.

After exchanging glances, Irene and Arabel silently gathered enough food and, handing it to Hailey, sent her upstairs, instructing her to share the treats with Edgar and her sisters.

”Oh, okay,” Hailey took the food with a smile and ran up the stairs without any objections.

After seeing Hailey off, Arabel took a portion of food for the three of them and decided to take it to the other guests on the first floor before Idan and Ivette finished their conversation.

Soon, when Arabel began to worry that Idan and Ivette were delayed, they both entered the house.

”Dinner is ready,” — Arabel greeted them with a smile, and Idan and Ivette responded in kind. However, Arabel quickly noticed that Idan’s smile was slightly forced.

”You’re just in time,” said Irene, holding her son in her arms, and Arslan.

Everyone gathered at the table, and for the first time, Idan’s family, as well as Arabel and her brother Arslan, had dinner together. Idan sat next to Arabel, and Irene, Arslan, and Ivette sat across from them.

The aroma of freshly prepared dishes made from energy-rich ingredients quickly whetted their appetites, and everyone happily started eating dinner.

”Did you cook this?” wondered Ivette, tasting the food and admiring Arabel’s skill.

In Ivette’s eyes, Arabel’s appreciation as a daughter-in-law increased even more. Not only was she beautiful, but she also had a real talent for cooking.

”Irene helped too,” — Arabel happily replied, sharing the credit, and pointed to a certain dish. ”Irene made this personally.”

”Oh, let’s try it,” Idan was full of curiosity and decided to find out what level his sister’s cooking was at.

Irene, a little worried, watched without taking her eyes off how Idan, taking a piece, first appreciated the smell, and then tasted the dish she had prepared.

”Hmm...” Idan said thoughtfully, lost in thought. Then, looking at Irene with a smile, he voiced his assessment: ”Not bad.”

”Really?” said Irene. In her eyes, and from the dishes she had tasted until today, Irene knew that her brother’s cooking level was higher than Arabel’s.

”Of course,” Idan nodded. And to confirm his words, he tried the dish personally prepared by Irene again.

Irene, pleased with her brother’s praise, couldn’t help but smile.

The rest of the dinner was held in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Irene, like Arabel, noticed the unusual behavior of Idan and her mother during the meal. However, she decided not to ask questions, so as not to disturb the harmony.

After dinner, Idan was the first to thank for the delicious dinner, got up and, leaving the kitchen, went out onto the terrace. Ivette, taking her grandson with her, went upstairs.

”Go on, I’ll clean up,” Irene said, noticing that Arabel was worried about something, and offered to help with the table cleaning.

”I’ll help too,” Arslan supported her.

”Thank you,” Arabel said gratefully, and followed Idan out onto the terrace.
