Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 418: The difference between the Beast Soul and a Star

”How many days have I been unconscious?” Idan asked, still enjoying the hot lava lake bath. To his surprise, even in his human form, due to his proximity to the element of fire, he did not cook like an ordinary chicken.

”Three days, — Lucinda said.

”Three days... It’s not that much,” Idan muttered, remembering the first time they lost consciousness for a whole week after they entered Limbo’s third city. Then the System almost fried their brains.

”And the others? How’s Belle? Is she all right? Idan asked one question after another, unable to hide his concern. As far as he could see, it was just him and Lucinda.

”Little sister’s condition was much better than yours the last time I saw her. And yes, she has nothing to do here, so I brought you here alone, and the Witch went to the ice caves with little sister,” Lucinda calmly replied, waving her fan, creating a light breeze and cooling the heat.

”As for the others, they’re in the Temple.”

”So Belle went to the Ice Caves...” Idan nodded, agreeing that it was a better place for Arabel than here.

”How are you feeling?” — Lucinda asked when she saw that Idan wasn’t asking any more questions.

”It’s hard to say, — Idan admitted. ”I need time to assess my condition.”

Lucinda nodded and stopped asking questions, but her gaze was still fixed on Idan.

”System, are you there?” called Idan.

[Yes], the System replied.

”Okay, System, do you have something important to report and show?”

[Ding! The task ”Eliminate all outsiders and rescue the abducted Awakened Ones!” and the additional task ”Enter one of the imperfect worlds of darkness and light and rescue the abducted Awakened Ones” have been successfully completed.]

[Results:

Saved: 40 Golden Rank Awakened

Reward: 4,000 System Points. Since it was a rescue task, the reward is doubled, and the total amount is 8000 System Points.

Eliminated:

_Golden Rank: 78

_Platinum Rank: 29

_Diamond Rank: 2

Reward: 11200 System Points]

”19,200 System points?” — Idan did not expect that the reward for the successful completion of this task would be such a large number of System Points.

[Additional Reward: 1 spin in the lottery of free coupons.]

”Another lottery? Free coupons?” —

Idan was pleasantly surprised by the additional award.
[Ding! Urgent World Task ”Eliminate two Diamond rank outsiders! Eliminated 2 out of 2” successfully completed.]

[Reward for completing the World Task: Land ownership]

”What the hell? Land ownership? What land?” — such an unexpected reward confused Idan.

Idan couldn’t stay confused for long. After reports of successful completion of tasks, the System, as if in retaliation, began to notify about losses.

[Ding! The task ”Fully master your new bloodline” failed due to the loss of the bloodline.]

These words made Idan remember the painful moment when the Queen had consumed his bloodline. Realizing this, he felt an emptiness inside, as if a part of his being had been irretrievably lost.

Realizing this, Idan remembered his most painful loss — the loss of Ned, his first contract and his most devoted partner.

Hoping that it was just a dream, he looked inside his soul space and, seeing the dim, cracked first star, froze.

”This is not a dream...Ned is really gone...” he muttered, unable to hold back the tears.

The System, as if understanding the feelings of its Host, did not issue any more notifications.

After a while, when Idan accepted what had happened, the System started talking:

[Host. This System would like to remind you that in your case, the death of your contract does not mean its final death.]

”Huh? What? What did you just say?” Idan, who had almost come to terms with the loss of Ned after hearing the System’s words, did not immediately believe her.

[The system said that in your case, the death of your contract does not mean its final death.]

”What do you mean by saying that?” asked Idan, as if trying to grab onto a thread of hope.

[Host, have you forgotten who you got the ”Beast Taming” function from?]

”Who did we get this feature from?” It took a while for Idan, who hadn’t fully recovered from everything that had happened to him.

”Supreme Beast Taming System!” At the end, Idan finally remembered who they got this feature from.

[Unlike the path of the ”Beast Tamer”, you Hosts are following a path related to the ”Supreme Beast Taming System” itself.]

[Thanks to this, you have not formed the Beast Souls, but the Stars.]

[The main difference between Stars and Beast Souls is that you can summon and store contracted beings inside them. Those who follow the path of the ”Beast Tamer” and have formed Beast Souls do not have this opportunity until they reach rank 7 along the path.]

[Another important difference between a Star and a Beast Soul is the ability to resurrect a deceased contracted being.]

”How? System, how do I bring Ned back to life?” Now that the System had confirmed that he could save Ned, Idan couldn’t calmly listen anymore. He couldn’t wait to resurrect his partner as soon as possible.

[First of all, Host, you must stop the destruction of the Star. The star associated with the deceased being holds a piece of his soul. If the Star is completely destroyed, this piece of soul will dissipate, and the opportunity to bring Ned back will be lost.]

Idan immediately recalled the process of signing the contract, when the System separated a piece of Ned and Rizzy’s soul and connected them to the Stars.

Before Idan could ask his question, the System beat him to it by opening the ”Trade” function window. In this window, there was a list of the same item, but with different ranks: ”Damaged Star Recovery Potion”. The seller of this potion was listed as ”Supreme Beast Taming System!”.

[Since the success of repairing a damaged Star depends on the quality of the potion purchased, this System strongly recommends that the Host purchase a Rank 5 potion for 5,000 System Points. This is the highest potion rank available to you at your current level.]

”Okay, I’ll take it.” Idan made the decision to purchase what the System offered without hesitation. However, before making a choice, he got to his feet, although he had been swimming calmly on his back while lying on the lava lake.

The depth of the place where he was was not very deep — just to the level of his torso.

Standing up, Idan immediately clicked on the ”Buy” button. At the same moment, 5,000 System Points were deducted from his account with Arabel, and a rift opened in front of him, from which a bottle of liquid flew out.

Catching it and twirling it a little in front of him under Lucinda’s surprised gazes, Idan uncorked the bottle and drank all its contents.
