Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 406: How... how is this possible?

Erza, unable to wait any longer, rushed to the place where Idan had fallen. The Guardian of Light did not block her path this time. Turning into a bright flash of light, she shot herself in the direction where Arabel had fallen.

The Guardian of Light was still confused. She was sure that she had killed the girl, leaving her no chance, hitting her right in her heart.

If it wasn’t for this confidence, the Guardian of Light wouldn’t have blocked Erza’s path. She wouldn’t try to get her hands on a guy who had not only an affinity for the element of Light, but also a unique bloodline, the equal of which she had never met.

When Erza reached the place where Idan had fallen, she immediately noticed him. Idan stood with his eyes closed, with red hair, absorbing huge amounts of the energy of the fire element.

The heavy wounds he had sustained from Erza’s previous attacks were no longer visible on his body.

”It’s not too late. He hasn’t fully recovered yet,” Erza said, and without waiting for him to finish the absorption process, she created numerous spears of the element of darkness, raining them down on Idan.

On the other side, when the Guardian of Light appeared over the place where Arabel had fallen, she saw a girl standing and looking directly at her with her azure eyes.

”So, she didn’t die after all?” said the Guardian of the Light, watching Arabel with surprise, completely healthy. Her four snow-white wings shone behind her again, brimming with their former strength.

Gazing coldly at the Guardian of Light, Arabel, like Idan, greedily absorbed the energy of the ice element, finding in it a new source of strength.

Gripping the sparkling spear tightly, the Guardian created a multitude of weapons from the element of light around her. Leaving a trail of light behind her, she appeared in front of Arabel.

Arabel, already familiar with the Guardian’s incredible speed, was ready for this. As soon as it disappeared, she soared up, trying to dodge the attack. But even after receiving so much ice elemental energy, Arabel’s strength was still limited by the Gold Rank.

The Guardian quickly caught up with her and stabbed her with her sparkling spear. It collided with Arabel’s shield of four snow-white wings.

Arabel was thrown up by the impact of the collision and the difference in strength.

After the spear hit, numerous weapons from the element of light flew towards Arabel.

Arabel’s heart sank when she saw this attack.

The speed was so fast that Arabel didn’t have time to create an ice shield in front of her. Finding no other way out, she defended herself again with her snow-white wings, which had already been severely damaged by the shining spear of the Guardian of Light.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The weapons from the element of light hit her one after another, tearing her wings apart.

Arabel suffered not only physically, but also mentally. As a Valkyrie, her wings weren’t just decorations or limbs needed for flight. They were a part of her, not only a symbol of her power, but also of her sources.

Arabel was in a difficult position again. Her wings were broken and her body was covered with deep wounds.

The pain was unbearable, but the abundant amount of icy energy did not allow Arabel to lower her hands. Without even trying, her body absorbed this energy by itself, which greatly enhanced her recovery abilities.

”Why? Why can’t I take the Spirit Form?” she screamed inwardly, suffering agony.

She couldn’t figure out what exactly was holding her back. There was so much icy energy around, perfect for the source, but something inside her was preventing her from taking on the form of a spirit. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t achieve what she wanted.

”Is my Spirit Form connected to the System?” Arabel began to despair.

Having almost lost hope, Arabel finally noticed her surroundings. It was filled with the powerful energy of the element of Darkness.

Arabel froze for a moment, looking at all this, and a huge amount of dark energy poured into her body.

”What? What? What?” Caught off guard by this sudden change, Arabel tried to control the absorption, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t.

Even though her body began to absorb this element of Darkness, it also did not stop absorbing the element of Ice.

Then, as the two elements in her body began to resonate with each other and merge, Arabel froze, as if momentarily lost in a trance. However, she soon came to her senses, and a strong surprise appeared on her face.

”That’s it,” she said, and the desperation on her face was replaced by a slight smile.

After she gained enlightenment, Arabel dared to try to take the Form of a Spirit again, and this time she was convinced that she would succeed.

Her four wings, which had not yet fully recovered, disintegrated into snow-white particles. The bloody body began to rapidly heal and transform into a body made of the purest snow-white ice.

A robe appeared on her, resembling an elegant white ball gown woven from the pure element of ice. The tip of the dress went down and dissolved into the ground covered with snow-white ice.

Arabel’s snow-white hair darkened and lengthened in different directions, as if dissolving into thin air and merging with the darkness itself.

When she opened her eyes, her azure eyes had turned completely black, and the Guardian of Light, who was preparing for her next attack, froze in fear upon seeing this.

”How... how is this possible?” she exclaimed, startled by Arabel’s new appearance. In her eyes, Arabel had not only transformed outwardly, but also seemed to have disappeared. The Guardian felt that the girl in front of her had simply disappeared, and she couldn’t figure out if Arabel was real in front of her or if it was just an illusion.

On the opposite side, the situation was completely different. Instead of an ice-covered land, the ground was ablaze, and the air was filled with countless particles of the element of light, illuminating everything.

This situation caused great irritation and anxiety to Erza, a creature of Darkness. Her attack that rained down on Idan didn’t have the effect she expected. The guy did not die, but was able to survive, having received numerous wounds.

Watching him still holding on under the onslaught of her attacks, Erza began to worry more and more.

”Damn! Damn! Why is that?” — Idan asked himself as he looked at Erza and failed in his attempts to assume the Form of a Spirit.

Instead of despairing, his mind was frantically searching for answers and solutions.

”My Spirit Form is closely related to the Alpha of Fire bloodline and should not be linked to the System!” Idan was confident in his guess. ”Something else is preventing me from gaining my Spirit Form, but what exactly is it?”
